Wow not even close on that middle .. oh well, that doesnt come up that often so i took a -125 on the bet. But I just hate to tell you I made out like a bandit yesterday on my college hoops. ...I'm not being a smart ass, but a buddy of mine on this site from the beginning (Sundaybreak) brought up a great point. This isn't a game and people are betting hard earned greenbacks on plays.
here's my question: I just spent the last 3 hours going back and keeping stats (like I always do) on posted records. One of my New Year's resolutions was to run a spread sheet on Excel with running records on handicappers from this site.
MY QUESTION: WHERE IN THE HELL ARE SOME OF YOU GETTING YOUR RECORDS?
Don't lie to gloss yourself. I will post every single play you posted and there record. Why am I pissed? Because I personally know some people on this site who pickride like a mofo and can't afford to lose week after week. Look for my spreadsheet (If Ricky allows it) to be posted on Jan. 31'st for the month of January. That should give you plenty of time to get your record in order. And if you want, double check me as well, I know my shit's in line. But for real, I think it's pathetic if you prop your record to gloss yourself. JDELT..great job keeping it honest. But I can personally prove to you at least 4 cappers on this board who have glossed records. One example..a guy says he's 12-3 in bowl games so far and then proceeds to go 0-5 posted on New Year's Day on Gotpicks. Guess what, when he releases NFL the next day (with no college) his record doesn't reflect the 5 losses and doesn't for the rest of the month.
Why am I bringing this up? Because I've been gambling a long time and I hate to see "rooks" lose money on bullshit. Post your record honestly, and if you want a statistical monitor for the year, I am your litmus test. But as a moderater and proud member of Gotpicks where I've made many friends, I'm gonna call out this bullshit. So cappers, keep it real. Friends are playing your picks and they need to know if your in a cold spell or can't hit the broad side of the barn. But don't lie and gloss yourself. I'm not going to call everyone out, but I'll warn you that I will post accurate and true records of every capper from Jan 1'st to Jan 31'st. And if you don't post a number just a side or total, I won't count it.
SO WHEN YOU POST::: PUT THE SPREAD...if you don't I won't track you or post any record on gotpicks.
So with that in mind, I'm off my soapbox. Keep it real, keep your records ATS realer, and remember...you can't win every pick. But you can win a lot of friends with honest records. Ricky, if it's cool with you bro..I'll expose the records of all gotpicks posted cappers in the first few days of February. Let's see who really is smoking and who's full of shit.
Criterion for my record keeping:
You have to post the play and number..not just the team or play.
No teases, 1H, 2H, parleys will be counted.
Only the big 4 will be tracked..football, basketball, baseball, Soccer.
Last reason I'm doing this: Because Ricky, Sunday, myself and some of the older members of the site are kicking around the idea of a gotpicks handicapping challenge where it's in bracket format. We rank the top 64 cappers and they go head to head single elimination in bracket format like march madness. Say MrLasVegas was seeded #1 and I'm seeded #64, we would cap against each other for a week (say 7 plays a week, one a day) and the winner moves on. In order to do this, we need some kind of ranking system, and that's what I'm working on. Take care and sorry for taking the space, but I couldn't keep quiet any longer.
BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR RECORD..BECAUSE I WILL BE ON FEB 1'st@!!

Just for the record - I am running at 37-16-1 ATS since I joined. (although admittedly I buy a point or 2 sometimes but I always say so and I always give the price too!)
Very happy with
Phoenix last night - capped off a very good night hitting everything, bar a small parlay (not posted)For today,
I already have had a 4 team parlay of Jets +7.0 / St Louis +4.5 / Minnesota +7.5 & Denver +10.5 (bought half point or point in some)
This returns 8-1, and as you can see 2 down 2 to play 2 win...
So posting my final 2 games of NFL as my NFL plays today:
Minnesota +7.5 & Denver +10.5
I think Denver matches up very well with Indy and there might be shock on the cards here. They will play strong defence and try run control of the clokc so they dont try go toe-2-toe with Mr MVP. I dont see Indy winning by 2 TD's - no chance.
As for Minny - I am so tempted to take this outright - this is going to be last possession winner, so its a crap shoot - evens either way, but smart money is to take them plus 7.5 cause they aint losing by more than a score.
Also NBA, playing following 3: (its a parlay but happy with all individually)
Toronto -6.5 (got these last night)
Phoenix -10.5

Also, finally...
At start of weekend I took St Louis to be top scoring team of wildcard weekend - 12-1 was way too big, so put 30 on it for fun and good value, so you'll hear me shouting "Go D" for the next 6 hours and change.
Speaking of low scoring, took under 44 late yesterday in San Diego game and took over 41 as well trying to corner the market, but failed - lost juice is all!
And on totals, dont be tempted to take over in GreenBay - just a hunch is all...

I like PC's idea, I don't post often but I will start tracking my plays and units won/lost in all of my posts starting today. Here is what I like today.
1) Packers (-6 -105) 2 units. Key stat here is Vikes are 2-20 straight up since 2000 on the road, on grass. Vikes are also 0-5 ATS last 5 games and got very lucky backing into the playoffs. Green Bay is 9-2 straight up since starting the season 1-4. Also MN has lost 7 of last 10 games.
Will post NBA & NCAA if I like any games today.

PC I agree with the idea, lots of work but if guys are bullshittin their records thats a good and competitive way to solve the problem... Anyway I have one play for today and it's not NFL, while I love these 2 games I won't post them but I will post this because I think it is an even bigger bet than those...

rough night for me guys as i've given back everything i'm up with that loss on over in sandiego. good thing is i bet over second half and recouped some $ but needless to say i went from up 15 units to down a half unit. doh!!!!
as for today i'm allready in need indy -10 and g.b -6 to win a huge parlay. so i'm on those games. however i also covered indy -10 with broncos +20 in a teaser so i can't lose.

SO IT COMES DOWN TO MY HOMETEAM COMING THROUGH FOR ME AFTER BURNING ME ONCE THIS YEAR! I HOPE I HELPED MAKE YOU ALL ALOT OF MONEY WITH MY PLAYS AND OF COURSE MY OFFSHORE GUYS PLAY, BUT MY BAD MONEY MANAGEMENT ONCE AGAIN HAS ME IN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE, SO ILL BE UNLOADING TO MAKE BACK ALL I LOST TODAY ON THE PATS..THIS IS BY FAR THE RISKIEST BET BECAUSE PATS HAVE NO TY LAW AND WEATHER WONT BE THAT BAD, AND THIS COLTS IS AS SCARY AS EVER! I THOUGHT FAVRE OWNED VIKINGS AND I THINK BELLICHICK OWNS PEYTON BUT I COULD BE O-2 ON WHAT I THINK! GOODLUCK WITH YOUR BETS SEE YA ON SUNDAY!!!

Hey Vegas - sorry to see you get beat up like that man... I think we all know how it feels; I've done it 2-3 times in the past few couple years and thats when i decided to play for a lot less.
I feel for you bro, and I will at least be crossing my fingers for you on Sunday. I see the court of popular opinion is already pushing the line up to -3 in places. My own book still has -2 (although gotta be honest I like Indy - but outdoors could be trappy ; so have held fire for now)
btw I got burned by the Heat as well last night - feck it anyway; but my profit was only going to be 200 (chump change for you!)

just for you - have checked my record (ATS or -125 odds or better per selection) since New Year - and thats what I'll be putting up incl my overall record since I started posting - for my own records...
BTW I love the idea of a capper playoff - run with it! As for keeping track of everyone, good luck!
