College football 10-1

Had a positive unit last week going 1-1 and hitting the bigger bet. Still trying to work out of negative units in college. I have two for today:

Alabama @ Florida: 7:00 PM CST

The whole world is on the Tide and I'm going to go the other way. I think Will has Florida headed in the right direction and this looks like a matchup that, to me, favors Florida. The strength of Alabama's game is their always great defense under Saban and their running game. Their passing game is getting better, but it's not exactly how they win games. Look at who Bama has beaten so far, Arkansas at home, on the road at Penn State, and beat up Kent State and North Texas. Conversely, Florida has handled TN, Kentucky, UAB, and Florida Atlantic. What stands out to me is how dominant Florida's defense has been. Other than TN scoring 23 last week, they have absolutely shut down the other 3 teams. The swamp is not a friendly place to play, the Gators are looking for some payback, Muschamp is looking for his first signature win, it all adds up to a great game and a close one. I will take Florida to cover this game and I wouldn't be surprised if they win outright. AJ McCarron looks like he is going to be a decent QB for Bama, but I will have to lay my cash on the Gators today.

Clemson at Virginia Tech

5:00 PM CST

I'm taking the over for four units. I have watched 3 clemson games in their entirety and I know 3 things.

`1.) Clemson can flat out score. Both with big plays and an up tempo offense.

2.) They can play from behind and don't get rattled. Auburn had them on the ropes and they won by double digits.

3.) Their defense sucks. They can't stop anyone, especially late in the game as they have no depth.

I think V Tech is going to try and pitch a defensive gem, but this is, by far, the best offense they have seen this season and Clemson's confidence is riding high. Even if V Tech goes up 3 TD's, Clemson will keep firing as they have all season.  I think this game easily goes over the number. Both teams can score, and only one can play defense. Expect an inspired effort from the Tigers and a high scoring 2nd half.

Opinions:

Wisky covers the number against the Huskers

K State and Baylor go under the number

Arkansas covers and/or wins against A and M

Texas and ISU go under the number
