Note - Nehro, who would be the clear cut pick here is not in the Preakness (Bred for distance and prearing for the Belmont)
Note - The Derby was run at a dog's pace with the slowest 1/2 and 3/4 run in over 60 years. I doubt we see that at the Preakness. DIALED IN actually ran a great Derby and passed 11 of the 18 colts and lost by 7 lengths. Unfortunately, the front runners were not tired due to the slow pace. This may all play into DIALED IN'S favor.
As of now, I assume DIALED IN will be 15 to 20 lengths back at the 1/4 and 1/2 and this is fine. Heck 24 lengths back will be fine as long as the clip off some fast fractions. DIALED IN will be clippin these horses off one by one through turn 4 and the stretch and will get up for an exciting finish with . . . ?

If fast/normal pace 46's-1/2 and 1:10/11-3/4, then Dialed In with Shackleford (10-5-?) in play
If slow pace (like the Derby) 48 or so and 1:12/13, then Animal Kingdom & Mucho Macho Man are in play (11-9-?)
I am throwing Midnight Interlude out again as the SA Derby can't be trusted and nothing to see in the Derby - Jockey change may help.
Would love to be playing Nehro & Dialed In in an Exacta. Nehro would likely be the favorite ahead of Animal Kingdom.
Going to play DIALED IN and going to watch the 1/2 mile split - If you hear DIALED-IN is way way way back as they go into one and you see 46.5 or so for the 1/2 mile, you will see DIALED IN come up and hit 1st or 2nd. "Here comes DIALED IN" will be the call.
