PC's 2009/2010 Europe Futbol Plays ENTIRE SEASON THREAD

Fellas, the season starts this Sunday in the English Premier League with a huge match between Chelsea and Manchester United. I will list all my plays and running totals here. I will be releasing these on ballinnpicks.com as well but don't know how the clients will take to it. I know GP has some futbollers so I invite all of you to post your futbol plays. ESPN will be covering 47 games this year in the EPL on their channels and I hope your excited about that if you don't have FSC and you get to watch some quality futbol.

Sunday 8/9

English Community Shield

Manchester United vs. Chelsea

10:00 AM EST

Neutral field at Wembley Stadium

This game is always a match between the top two teams from the season before. Last year it was a 0-0 draw that went to penalty kicks. I've watched this game four years running and I can tell you this...most players are not fit, the scoring is usually low, and we see some disorganized play as the teams struggle to get the new lineups to jell cohesively.

Looking at United, they lost all offense stud Christiano Ronaldo who signed with Real Madrid. They lost Carlos Tevez in a move to rival Manchester City (which I'm stoked about.) The new look United front will have Berbatov and Rooney up front (which didn't work last year) and Michael Owen as an attacking midfielder. Normally, this would be plenty of offense to get the over, but not when your playing Chelsea and the big blue wall of defense. Chelsea remains relatively unchanged except for new skipper Anciotti who comes over from Italy.

I'm tellin ya fellas, I think the under is a solid play. Chelsea will unveil the diamond formation and United still has not announced their starting squad. You will see some sloppy passing and a key element of this is John Terry, who stayed at Chelsea after immense pressure from Man City to sign with them in the off season. Let's not forget United's starting keeper, Edwin VanDerSaar is out for 8 weeks as he hurt his finger during training camp. For all these reasons I like the under. United still has Rio Ferdinand, in my opinion, one of the top 3 defenders in the world. Chelsea still plays boring futbol and will bunker in with counter attacks. United is very familiar with Chelsea's top goal scorers and guys like Drogba are going to have a hard time especially with Ferdinand marking him. I'm rollin the under and Chelsea.

2** on Chelsea/United under 2 1/2 -160

1* on Chelsea to win in 90 minutes a tie is a push +145

GL fellas..can't wait for the season to start. the following weekend has a full slate of EPL games. Let's get crackin!

    EPL opening week:

0-2 on community shield. Sorry no write up, I have to work early.

    SEASON RECORD: 0-2 -4.2 units

    Stoke City over 2 1/2 +105

    2units

    West ham United

+160 TO win in 90 minutes

    2units

Everton to win or tie (Push line)

    +120

    2 unite

    Logic:

Stoke over was a cash cow early in the year with Ricardo Fuller. I see more of the same opening day.

West ham is a good team. Wolverhampton is a solid team and will stay in the EPL this year. However, opening day I'll take the vets and think Ham has the talent to take this one on the road.

Everton is solid. They are going to play in Europe this year in cup competition. Arsenal lost Edabayor and Toure to my team, Man City. It will take them awhile to jel. Tie is a push.

    GL boys!

    Sunday Europe:

Bad start to the year going 1-4 ATS..2 sunday plays:

    hertha Berlin/Bochum over 2 1/2 -130

2 units.  Bochum has allowed 3 goals in each of their first 2 games and Berlin has scored 4 in two games. Neither team plays defense and it should be an exciting offensive game. 2**

Chelsea -1 for 2 units. The Blues are talented and one of the favorites for the EPL, Fulham will be fighting relegation. The way United and Arsenal banged on Saturday, I see Chelsea following suit as they don't want to get too far behind in goal differential. American futboller Clint Dempsey can't save them, too much for Chelsea.

    2** on Chelsea -1 -105

    Good luck

2-4 ATS on the year, 1-1 ATS last time out. I'm banging this Saturday:

    EPL:
I'll take Arsenal over United. I know Man U is a beast, but no Rio Ferdinand, Tevez and Ronaldo both gone. The Gunnars are firing strong and scoring at will this season. In the first match between the big 4, I gotta roll Arsenal as I don't think United is the dominant team they were last year. They are very good, but Arsenal will have a chip on their shoulder and this team is very good.

    2** on Arsenal +140

    A tie is a push

    La Liga:

    Real Madrid -1 1/2 goals 1-50.

Really high juice and I hate that. But man, Ronaldo and Kaka's home debut against a team that barely made it through relegation to stay in La Liga. The new Galacticos of Spain are a giant and probably the best futbol team in the world, but we will have to wait to find that out. I'm sure Barcelona and a few teams in the EPL have something to say about that. But this game is going to show off the new signings and they are going to go off. Use it as parley filler if you want, I'm not scared of the juice, I'm banging.

    3*** on Real Madrid -1 1/2 goals -150

    SUNDAY:

Germany Bundesligia: I love Hamburg because they push forward and attack at will. They aren't afraid to take chances and I'm rollin the ove.r Koln is a bad team but Hamburg really doesn't play defense. I'll take the over and expect a push at worst.

    2** on over 3 -110 on Koln/Hamburg on Sunday

    EPL:

Man City is my team and boy are they having a good start. The defense was the big question mark but they are throwing out clean sheets (shutouts) like no one's business. They beat Barcelona in a pre season tune up and were dominant in their first two wins in the EPL. No reason not to back them this Sunday against a team who is ill equipped to match Man City's new signings and star power. This will be Tevez's first start at full fitness and I think he bulges the bag for us.

2** on Man City -167 to win in regulation time.

Good luck players, you don't like the high juice hook em up. But I'm playing em exactly as laid out.

If you want more action here are opinions I'm twisting up in parleys:

Munchen -133 to win in 90 minutes

    Hoffenheim under 2 1/2 -105

    Wigan +225 (a tie is a push)

Stoke City over 2 1/2 +125 (betting straight as well for 1 unit)

Good luck players, I will be in the positive soon. Expect a good day and can't wait to watch Arsenal/United on Saturday.

Sundy Derby, I can't ignore the value. I have to play this and hope we hit. But undefeated Man City (my team) who are loaded with transfer signings have started the season off 4-0-0 with wins over Arsenal and some lower teams in the EPL. I am playing Man City to pull off the upset at Old Trafford.

Man City +400 to win in regulation time (tie is a push)

1 unit to win 4 units

This game is Sunday. I could type for days, but I love the value on this one. Man City is solid and United were lucky to get by Arsenal last week on some BS calls. I really think MC is the play.

    Saturday EPL:

    Under 3 in Wigan/Arsenal -140

    2units

    GL boyz.

    CHampions League:

Real Madrid +150...2 units..lost the first leg at home against AC Milan, even with injuries, I don't think AC is that good. Will be the surprise of the day, Madrid throttles them.

PC 2** on Real Madrid +150 a tie is a push

Chelsea over 2 1/2 -105 @ Atletico Madrid. Should be a low scoring game but I have a feeling we break 4 in this one.

1* on over Chelsea in Champions league.

    Opinions:

Wolfsburg and Bayern Munchen to win convincingly.

Wish I had the nuts to roll on Maccabi over Juventus, Maccabi is good. but Juventus has to have this one.
