    Hey Fellas,

    Re: Allstar Game

Is it just me...or is the wrong team favored here?

Please put some sense into me...cuz I'm looking at $561.43 on the National League tonight.

In my humble opinion (coming from an American League Fan): The National League pitchers ERA, K's and Whip are vast more superior than their counterparts. The 4 top National League sluggers have more home runs combined than the whole AL starting line-up...and not to mention that they are at "Home", thus having the crowd backing them up. Seriously, I would be completely suprised if the AL scores a run in innings 1,2,7,8,or 9th... Even Halladay has been getting shelled after his stint on the DL... Guys, help me save some $$ here...but unless somebody comes up with something other than "The Streak"...than I'm all in for my July gaming money!

Normally, we're not that involved in these types of games as we avoid plays on All-Star games and limit our selections during the postseason (for the most part), but this seems like a positive situation for the National League. Much will be made of the American League's current winning streak (11-0-1 last 12 meetings) but this AL team won't resemble some of the powerhouse squads that helped create that record.

Excellent starting pitcher matchup (would you expect anything less) but the advantage is with the NL and young fireballer Lincecum. Lincecum will be working on his normal days rest and will be available to throw 3 full innings if necessary. He hides the ball well and his fastball literally seems to "explode" from his hand, expect AL batters who are unfamiliar with facing him to struggle in their at bats. Hallayday great too, but his stuff is not as electric and a solid contact hitting portion of the NL lineup (Ramirez, Utley, Pujols) has some chance for success. Also, with Hallayday recently returning from injury and his trade value to the Bluejays, expect a shorter outing from him.

The reserve (bullpen) pitching advantage leans heavily to the AL but the NL counters with a deeper reserve lineup much more capable of manufacturing runs.

Time for the NL to get one and the value is there. With homefield advantage, the closing of the gap in overall talent level, and the tenacity of Pujols leading the way, we'll back the NL to break this amazing streak.

    Aloha.

Have to play the under here.

9.5 runs is just too high when you have the best pitchers in baseball going for both clubs. The All-Star game is now being treated a bit differently by the managers since it now means Home Field in the World Series.

Time and time again great pitching always defeats great hitting.

    This number is too high.

    Saturday night late MLB

    12-5 ATS since posting again.

3-1 last day posting last week.

I'm all over the Dodgers run line tonight -1 1/2 -110.

Hampton has the unfortunate task of facing a Dodgers team that got shut down by Roy Oswalt last night. I can't see the Dodgers laying back against a guy who has terrible numbers lifetime against the Dodgers. I also think Kershaw will continue his recent string of dominance. Look for the dodgers to lay a number tonight.

    2** on Dodgers -1 1/2 -110

I'm rollin on the Pads and Rocks game as well. I really think the over is the play but I'm going to roll on Colorado instead. Correja hasn't pitched badly but the Rocks are doing their usual 2nd half season charge and the Pads just don't have much in the tank. In fact, let's play both the total and side. I'll take Hammel to give up less than Kevin and expect a Rocks win with Huston closing the door.

    2** on Colorado -105

    1* on over 7 1/2 -105

GL boyz. Sorry for the late post, hit my early game easily and got rained out on the fish so I'm using my fish total money on these plays. Hit em straight!
