I'm all over Virg. Tech tonight -6...total hasn't been posted on bodog yet but my final score comes up 33-19 for a total of 52pts.....so depending on what they post the total at i'll be going for the over or under based on that number.
Thank god baseball is finally over and now the only sport that matters takes center stage...college/pro football.

Bodog has VaTech -6.5 right now a full 1.0 higher than most other online books... The O/U is 40 right now.

I don't think I want to touch the point spread tonight, could be an upset. But I don't feel that this game is going to go over 40 points. These teams are a combined 6-1 on the under this season and all but 2 of their games (one each) has gone under 40 against a decent opponent. I think their defenses are too good to let this go over:

First...I didn't see any deleted posts, but wtf??? I can take getting ribbed over a play (example..gettin my balls busted by a friend who I got to know in a year and a half). This site is close to 2 years strong and free to all. I use it all the time and I respect ANYONE that posts a play, be it for $5.00 or $5000.00. Money is important to everyone on every level. I play almost every day and have done it for years. You look at why Ricky created Gotpicks. Doyou realize that it's free and takes up quite a bit of time for our administrator? Think about it, at the minimum, Ricky has done this for us:
*Built the site
*Set up sponsors
*Answered and set up invites for close to 2000 people.
*Makes sure the site stays running and useful even though there have been numerous hack attempts on it.
*A buddy of mine in here sent me a PM and he's right. There is way too much bashing. I don't care who posts in here: I'll play the picks that I THINK will win and will ride advice from V, Sunday, JimmyZ, Ricky, Billz, GT, Takis, JT, Pak, Axd, Madx, the TOD, CJ, PH, Schube, Trey, Go Cubs Go, Vlad, Como, A_T_S Machine, Atrain, Landshark, etc. and everyone else I've met over the last 2 years.
My soapbox is almost over, I just ask one favor if you use this site: DON'T MAKE RICKY MAKE IT A PAY SITE WITH PRIVATE CHAT ROOMS FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND AWHILE!!! That's the next step, because I for one, wouldn't want to put up with the BS.
Anyways, down to the good stuff:
Tonight's game, I'm on the under..here's why:
Let's start with Virginia Tech and their 5-2 record. I'm gonna throw out the 62-0 thrashing last week against FAMU. I'm also gonna throw out the game against WMI. We all know FAMU and William and Mary are scrubs. That leaves a 3-2 record listed here:
@ USC 13-24 UNDER
Duke 41-17 OVER
NC State 16-17 UNDER
WV 19-13 UNDER
@Wake Forest 17-10 UNDER
Throw out the Duke game and you see quality competition that is close to Georgia Tech's caliber of play. V Tech's defense is always respectable and won't be intimidated playing in Atlanta in front of a national audience. Last time they did it, they were one penalty away from beating USC in the college opener. (Sorry Billz!)
Virginia Tech's Defense is ranked 7'th in the country in total defense.
Georgia Tech's and Virginia Tech's defense are ranked in the top 10 in the country in yards allowed. (Note that Vtech has played 7 games and GTech 6.)
Georgia TECH:
The Jackets haven't scored more than 28 points all year in one game. (That 28 was against mighty Samford in the first week of the year). When they play good Defenses,they can't score, note the 3 they put against up Miami. Only 3 teams have scored more than 20 points against them, UNC, Miami, and Clemson. The jackets defense is keyed by one of the best running backs in the ACC for the Jackets. They play ball control and don't really go for the big play in the air unless they play a suspect defense. I can't see either team putting up a huge number. I'm worried on the side, and as most of you know, mostly play totals. I'm out.
I'm on the under for 3 units tonight.
(A strong bet for me in CFB is 10 units)

I didn't see the BS either but I love this site and take a lot from it esp. the regulars like PC... Now I started the year very well and since have been in a bit of a rut but bashing sux take it elsewhere I don't care if no one takes my picks but I get big help from some of the others guys here and it would suck too loose it so keep it simple help each other out, beatin the shit out of the bookie is all that should matter here guys...

First day of 19 straight days of televised football....I love it....
I wasn't planning on posting my first games until Saturday, but I really like the Yellow Jackets tonight. These are two fairly even teams and GT should not be getting this many points on their home field.
I've seen the line varying from place to place, but the bet i just placed on betwwts.com was Georgia Tech +6 so that's what I will post here.
