If you guys get a chance, I have a pick for the World Junior Hockey Championship. It's called the U20 hockey at Pinnaclesports.com

Bronze Medal game: Slovakia +2.5 -103. Russia just lost a heartbreak to Canada in the semis. Canada tied it up with 5.6 seconds, then won in shootout. Russia will have a hangover from that game. The USA lost earlier to Slovakia in the same situation. Bronze does not mean a lot to a team like Russia. However, for Slovakia, Bronze will be like gold. It will be a huge success for them and they will be motivate. Slovakia +663 is also good value, but +2.5 is my play.

Aslo: U7 -120. Russia is more of a defensive team and I don't see them scoring tons. This will be a 3-2 type of game

Gold Medal: Do yourselves a favour and don't bet Canada. This Swedish team is real good. Canada is better, but anything can happen in this game. I saw Sweden +1 earlier and would recommend that in a heartbeat, but it's now at +.5. If anything, I like O6 as these two can and will score.

I'm going to both games here in Ottawa and I'm pumped. Ditching work early and tailgating. Good luck.

    Ohio State vs Texas

4 steps to allow you to pick this winner .............

    1.) Let's begin with a comparison of schedules -

............. Both Teams played a total of seven bowl teams -

Texas 6-1 (Beat FAU, Rice, OK, MO, OkSt, KA - Lost to TT)

OSU 5-2 (Beat Troy, MN, WI, MSU, NW - Lost to USC, PSU)

    ADVANTAGE - TEXAS

2.) Okay - Let's look at the score in those games -

    Texas 6-1 versus bowl team

    FAU 52-10

    Rice 52-10

    OKL 45-35

    43-22 (21 point margin) versus 26-16 (10 point margin)

    ADVANTAGE - TEXAS

3.) Well, let's make sur Texas wasn't playing weak opponents and

let's look at how the seven bowl teams on their schedules have

done in the bowl games -

Texas seven opponents (4-2 in bowl games (34-28 avg score))

    FAU WON 24-21 CMU

My bad for last Saturday. After being up after Friday, I went 0-4 in CBB -7.7 units and 0-1 in CFB -2.2 units. I apologize but look forward to starting the new week. I will NOT go 0fer again in 09 on GP:

    NBA:

I like Indiana +9 1/2 @ Denver. Pacers should keep it tight and with the way Jarret Jack's been playing, he can possibly keep the Pacers in the game until the 4'th. Denver has been solid, but this is a big number for a team that runs and shoots like hell.

    2** on Indiana + 9 1/2

    CFB:

I'll roll on under 52 1/2 in Texas/Ohio State. Both teams play good defense and if Texas does dominate, they aren't going to put up 40 on the Buckeyes.

    1* on Under 52 1/2

Again my apologies for the terrible posts on Saturday. New week is here and I look forwad to righting the ship.

One hell of a game. I am at work hungover, tired as hell and with no voice.

Got burned in game one with an empty netter. Killed my under and side bet all at once.

However, got saved in the late game with two empty netters to push my over. Such is life in the day of a sports bettor.

Sorry for those that rode my picks, as I went 0-1-2. There's always next year, as Canada hosts the tourney yet again. The Swiss backed out of hosting, so Saskatoon stepped up. I might make the trip next year. You can't beat this tourney.

The last 2 games of this bowl season opened with some of the highest totals -

    BSU-Tulsa OPENED at 77 MOVED to 74

    FLA-Okl OPENED at 71.5 MOVED to 70.5

Only three other games opened at > 70

Ore-OkSt OPENED at 77 MOVED to 75.5 (FINAL 73 UNDER) (With line movement)(Just missed -2.5 pts))

WMi-Rice OPENED at 72 MOVED to 74 (FINAL 52 UNDER) (Opp line movement)(-22pts)

Miss-TT OPENED at 71 MOVED to 66 (FINAL 81 OVER) (Opp line movement)(+15 pts)

Five other games opened at > 60

NW-MO OPENED at 66 MOVED to 67 (FINAL 53 UNDER) (Opp line movement)(-14 pts)

AF-HOUS OPENED at 64 MOVED to 66 (FINAL 62 UNDER) (Opp line movement)(-4 pts)

FAU-CMU OPENED at 62 MOVED to 70 (FINAL 45 UNDER) (Opp Line movement)(-25 pts)

BYU-AZ OPENED at 62 MOVED to 59.5 (FINAL 52 UNDER) (With line movemeny)(-7.5 pts)

All Totals > 70 opposite of line movement 2-1 ATS (3-1 ATS if you count FAU Game)(3 winners by 22/15/25 pts - 1 loser by 2.5 pts)

All Totals > 60 opposite of line movement 5-2 ATS (5-1 ATS if you throw out BYU Game - (Closed under 60))

Biggest Line Movement of the HUGE O-Us was 62 to 70, which was the biggest margin (-25 pts) of all the HUGE totals.

2nd Biggest Movement is BSU-Tulsa Game and it may move more with the weather factor.

I am not advocating this trend continues - Just an observation at this point.

Based on this data - One might lean to the OVERs based on line movement.

Again - Not advocating this at this point.

Also Note - BSU-Tulsa Game - Inclement weather expected (severe thunderstorms and gusty winds)
