damn i was 1-2on preseason nfl games... like i said b4... i suck on nfl games and that why i pickride...hahahahaha. but i take college football seriously!!!! i just got done studying for this 1st week in college football.
im going to post 2 plays instead of the one play. one is on sat and the other on sunday... so let get started and quit bs....ing!!!

Marshall -14 @ home vs. Troy State
This line may go up by I love this home opener for Marhall. The Thundering Herd are a perennial powerhouse in the MAC and this year proves to be no different. Surprisingly, Troy State took care of business in the first ever matchup between these two teams in Troy, Alabama last year. Marshall was caught sleeping after handing KSU their worst home loss in a long time. This is a revenge game for the Herd and one they have had circled since spring drills. Marshall returns senior QB Stan Hill and has loads of experience at the skill positions. Check out Earl Charles, a 1000 yard back from last year who should run roughshod over a defense that has some returning talent, but should have trouble matching up with Marshall Head Coach Pruett and the 10 returning starters from last year’s Defense. The Marshall defense ranked #1 in the MAC last year in total defense and defending the pass, meaning Troy State must back their talented Running back to have any chance of winning. On the road last year Troy State mustered the following totals, 5,7,20,0,0,0,20,23. In 8 games, they scored 75 points…or a translation of 9.7 points a game. THIS WILL NOT GET IT DONE AGAINST THE HERD IN MAC LAND. Troy State has 17 returning starters, but the offense will be facing one of the MAC’s best defenses, a pissed off revenge factor team, a defense with 10 returning starters who still taste last year’s loss, and most importantly, a MAC offense led by MAC player of the year candidates in QB’s Stan Hill an RB Earl Charles. New Cincinnati Head Coach Mark Dantonio won't have any trouble remembering Cincinnati's near miss vs. Ohio State in 2002. He was running the defense for the Buckeyes when they barely kept their perfect season intact in a 23-19 win over the Bearcats. There's also some talent on hand to provide Dantonio with a chance to register the shocker against his former employers. Cincinnati returns 17 starters from last season's underachieving 5-7 squad. That list includes QB Gino Guidugli (I like him as a qb), a healthy Richard Hall to run the ball, virtually the entire receiving corps and most of the offensive line. Defensively, the Bearcats are also back nearly intact, with top performers Andre Frazier, Trent Cole and Daven Holly all on hand for their senior seasons. Ohio State clearly deserves the favorite's role for this contest, but the Buckeyes have just nine returning starters, no experience at QB, Krenzel is gone and so is Jenkins their TOP WR from last year and also they got two new coordinators working with Head Coach Jim Tressel. Ohio State was a money burning 4-7-1 ATS last season, winning many games by much closer margins than the spread. Look for 2004 to start off much the same way, as the Buckeyes have their hands full with the Bearcats for the full 60 minutes.

Michigan State coach John L. Smith still hasn’t decided on a quarterback to replace last year’s starter John Smoker as neither senior Damon Dowdell, sophomore Drew Stanton or freshman Stephen Reaves distinguished himself in the fall scrimmage. Looking at the Spartans returning players only two offensive linemen and one on the defensive line but are so loaded in the backfield that two of last year’s running backs, Tyrell Dortch and Jaren Hayes, have been switched to defense. However, the Spartan secondary suffered a blow when starting cornerback Darren Barnett left the program. Rutgers is coming off a 5-7 season which was more wins than it’s had since 1998 while compiling a 10-1-1 ATS record(I rode them almost all year). The Scarlet Knights return nine starters from a potent offense which racked up 4423 total yards and 35 touchdowns including quarterback Ryan Hart who threw for 15 TDs. The defense faces some rebuilding after losing end Raheem Orr and cornerback Nate Jones to graduation. Michigan State won last season’s meeting 44-28 at home but look for Rutgers to keep this one close as the Spartans still are settling into their offense while the Knights are ready to light up the scoreboard with Hart and company. THIS IS NOT THE SAME RUTGERS WE KNOW.. THEY ARE BETTER!!!

S.M.U. third-year head coach Phil Bennett revamped the offense, bringing in a new offensive coordinator in Rusty Burns, who comes over from Cincinnati. The Bearcats had wide-open offenses the last few years and SMU desperately needs a new approach. The Mustangs carry a 12-game skid into this game and last season SMU averaged just 129 yards rushing/132 yards passing per game…EWWWW We'll see how much better the offense is, but the defense SUCKS DONKEY NUTS!!, and now they have to face wide-open Texas Tech! Texas Tech returns seven starters on offense and nine on defense, though they lost QB B.J. Symons and WR Wes Welker. Senior QB Sonny Cumbie (340 yards last season) takes over Mike Leach's pass-happy offense that struck for 475 passing per game! Leach was able to replace QB Kliff Kingsbury a few years ago with Symons and not miss a beat, so it's likely he can do it again. This coach goes for it, points, 4th down, etc.. I Love him!!! T-Tech went 8-5 SU, 9-4 ATS last season while SMU went 0-12 SU getting outscored by a 32-11 average. Texas Tech ripped SMU 58-10 last season, although two years ago on this field T-Tech won 24-14 as a 21-point favorite. All in all, everything favors the visitors, but watch SMU's offense very carefully as a new philosophy can sometimes turn things around fast (like Jeff Tedford at Cal) BUT… Not this time… watch out boys.. passing will FLYING!!!
