Lets look at recent history last 2 times SC was underdog.. hmm rose bowl vs michigan,,,,,, orange bowl vs oklahoma... we all know what happened

Slam's College Football Reads
Boston College +3 @ Virginia Tech
A huge Game this Thursday in Blacksburg. ESPN will surely play up the upset angle on this game and I'm not buying it... This BC team has way too much experience and poise to not be prepared for this game... VT's D will be able to contain Ryan somewhat but the problem is their offense won't give them enough time off the field... BC will stack the box and try to make Beamer play the type of ball he doesn't like to play.. Take the points..
South Fla -4.5 @ UCONN
We'll keep it in the Big East for our next game and take the bulls to rebound off a tough Rutgers loss. Uconn has a few things that stick out to me when looking through their stats... They can't contain the run and they haven't played a solid defense yet... S. Fla is better on both sides of the ball and Grothe should have lanes to scramble through all day... This one could get ugly early...
WVU -6.5 @ RU
We'll round out the Big East here and pick every-ones favorite game. West Virginia rolls into Piscataway after they seem to have righted the ship and are on course for a BCS game. WVU should have no problem running on a very suspect Rutgers LB core. Rutgers saw a bunch of big runs in the first half last week from Grothe and adjusted at halftime with a full time spy... RU will have to start this game with a spy on White who is 10 times the athlete of Grothe... This adjustment worked well for So. Fla because the don't have a real running threat..In contrast WVU has too many to even name... Add in Teals injury and the rain expected Saturday and this game will get away from Rutgers and keep the crowd out of it...Expect lots of Slaton /White option plays for big yards..
Michigan -23.5 vs Minnesota
I'm gonna lay an unusual large number here and take the Wolverines to win big in the big house.. Minnesota has zero defense and Michigan seems to be moving ahead after 6 straight wins...Forcing turnovers is the key to covering big numbers like this; and Minnesota at a -15 turnover ratio should have no problem giving them up.
Georgia +9 @ Fla
I was on the Fla bandwagon last week, which cashed mighty easily but this week I'm going against Tebow and his boys... I see tons of value in this big SEC rivalry game. Fla may win this game at the swamp but I'll take the gracious amount of points being given... This line was set on public perception and I personally disagree with it... Fla's win over Kent. was big but I'm skeptical on how good that Kent team really is..

Wow, I was shocked when I first came across this number. I think this game will most likely be a shoot out... Neither team plays impressive defense and both coaches pride them selves on tossing the ball around.. This game has a SC/Kent kinda feel to it which finished in a 38-23 game ... I can't really pick a side on this game but defiantly think both teams will be able to score...

i'm seeing a big play for us on sunday fellas. gonna look into it more. last week i had one but the qb played so i had no action. this one is looking like a gom type of play and on nov. 11th i'm gonna have a goy play as i have a game that's allready circled for me.

I thought the line would be higher. Playing in Autzen Stadium is nearly impossible with the crazy crowd and the noise factor. USC has been getting stupid penalties all year long and one would think they would be good for at least 5 false starts due to the noise. Oregon is playing better football and is riding on mucho confidence.
HOWEVER, USC has Pete Carroll as their coach. USC is finally healthy or as close to it as they have been all year. This team will be ready to play. On paper they are far superior but tell that to Stanford. That means shit. USC still has the swagger and the opportunity to get to New Orleans if they win out and have a little luck.
I look for USC to make their usual half time adjustments and pull away in the second half. I think the defense will play their best game of the year and the offense will outscore the Ducks.
I am ignoring all trends this year because they seem to be worth nothing in this whacked out college football season.

There are the numbers...My take is as following: I will not bet against the bats of Boston. I believe that both pitchers are hittable howver the bull pen advantage IMO favors the SOX. Fogg has a higher ERA at home than Dice-K on the road. Look at it this way, When the Rockies were hot, people rode them. Well, they are COLD. The Sox are hot at this point, wins wise and soring runs.
I disagree somewhat with Francona sitting Youlilis simply becasue he has been more productive. He has hit just fine against righties, so there is no reason to justify Ortiz cause he hits lefty....I would guess that Youk will enter the game fairly early anyway for Defense if they have the lead.
Not sure what I will do unit wise....Will post that tomorrow.
So, take this for what its worth to you. I am sure that one way or another it will help somehow no matter what side you take!!!
If not, print it out and wipe your ass with it!!!

After 3 straight winners, we lost last weeks's Ugly Dog badly (@Notre Dame +17 vs USC ). Think we have a winner today. (a big play for me)

OHIO STATE -3 over Penn State @ 8pm
It's just amazing how in the gambling world, I hear no real talk about this game. Everyone is focused on Oregon and USC and all these other games, and by the way, just as a side note, anyone who tells you to use Oregon big today, I personally would be very careful with that.
This game is like flying under the radar and that fact that we get the nation's #1 team at this very cheap price. Well, it hasn't gone un-noticed to me. I think the Buckeyes prove they are worthy of this ranking in a big way tonight.
Thanks to the nation's best defense, OSU is #1. Their offense has been good enough to win these games, but they'll need to be better today against a tenacious Nittany Lion defense.
Back to the OSU defense, which was just fantastic in last week's win over Michigan State. They held the high powered Spartans rushing attack to 59 yards on the ground, and the secondary held the QB Hoyer to only 12 of 23 passing.
The thing about Penn State is that when Morelli gets time, he can pick apart any secondary in the country. Bad news for him and for the Penn State fans : OSU's defense gets consistent pressure on the quarterback.
Don't worry folks, this one will live up to the hype. However, just like last week when the final score didn't really indicate how one sided that game was, Ohio state will once again dominate the game on all facets and win this game easily.

Dice K vs Fogg could very well equal Bullpen vs Bullpen. In that case, I like the Sox. I believe that the Sox will provide more offense against Fogg who hasnt pitched in 13 days. Dice K will be on a short leash and the bullpen for the Sox is well rested.
The Rockies have not put up runs anywhere close to that of the Sox...I am relying on the Sox offense and inexperience of the Rockies....Rockies have to prove that they can win A world series game!!!

Well I didnt have any thing on the longhorns but they didnt cover, and bitch ass Texas Tech shit the bed, and the pussy ass TX A & M blows. I hate them and Illinois took it easy in the red zone to not cover. Only good thing today was that Clemson took care of business. Cant wait for baskets to start, I love Football season but damn its no consistency and refs can win or lose a game. But let me stop crying. Looking for ASU to make a statement tonight and get the respect that they have been looking for. Hope your gents plays went better then mine today.
