PC7588 Week 10 Picks

Another profitable week last week making it a very nice profitable run since returning to GP:

MONDAY AM:

ROLL WITH ME ON KC/ TAMPA UNDER 8

A day game with two quality pitchers in an empty stadium. I can't see this being a slugfest as no one will be there. Meche and Shields are both pitching exremely well this year and frankly, the total should be at 6 1/2 to 7 in my opinion.

Take care and let's start the week off right.

KC/TAMPA UNDER 8 early today.

    Nice start

    Week 10: 1-0 ATS

    Monday Night:

Roll with me on the Cubs and Brewers under 9 1/2-115

I looked at Marquis and Bush and started wondering why 90% of the pub is on the over. I know the bullys for both are really starting to show their true colors. But 9 is a lot of runs for two pitchers who have the potential to go low. I'm fading the public based on my perception that this game will close around 7. I see a 5-2 Brewers victory with a few late runs given up by the Cubs pen.

ROLL WITH ME ON THE CUBS UNDER 9 1/2 -115

    Play #2:

Roll with me on Yanks/White Sox under 11. Last time these two pitchers hooked up it was a 4-1 Yanks win. Go look at the numbers, neither pitcher has gone over 9 in their past 5 starts except for Garland's 7-6 game on the 30'th. I'll tell ya what though, with the pub hammering the over I think this is a really good play. All 3 games this year between the two went under and the Yanks might slip a little bit coming off the emotional series with the Sox. On the other side of the coin, the White Sox bat's have been pretty cold this year. It's an under kind of day for me.

ROLL ON UNDER 11 in the Yanks game

    DeSalvo/Garland must go

    Opinions:

I got Seattle and Oakland hooked up in a two teamer as well

    Good luck boyz.

    TUESDAY:

Jesus I want to roll the huge dogs tonight. I won't officially release them but see below and let's see if I can hit enough dogs to show a profit.

ROLL WITH ME ON Baltmore +135 ML

There's a lot of reasons I'm on this game. In fact, I looked at about 8 games tonight and I liked the dog in all but one. This one stands out for a number of reasons...

Burress is a very dominant pitcher on the road and has been hot. He just beat Boston and Anaheim in their parks not allowing more than 2 runs in either game.

Baek is a decent pitcher, but not what I expected after last year. He has lost velocity and if he isn't hitting with his curve, he hangs em out to dry. A very bad team to do this against as the Orioles bats have been hot.

The O's had a chance to win yesterday but Staff Ace Daniel Cabrera was not sharp and cost them the game. Guthrie and Burress have given hope to the O's rotation.

Baltimore is enduring a long road trip and the pub is hammering on Seattle. I see very good value here and think this line should be more around a pick. I'm rollin the O's and hope we don't give it back in the 9'th. Ray has been a little shaky this year, but I'll take my chances.

ROLL WITH ME ON BALTIMORE +135 @ Seattle

    Play #2:

Roll with me on the Dodgers/Pads over 7. There's a number of reasons for this. I've had a career long love affair with Jason Schmidt in fantasy baseball. I know a lot about his career and this is a good spot to play the over. He hasn't been dominant in years and his fastball which used to be clocked in the mid 90's..is now down to the low 90's high 80's. He used to be a K gun pitcher and now he must get outs the old fashioned way. I think he'll press tonight and get lit up like a christmas tree in his first start in over 2 months. Most Schmidtie starts the past few years have gone over except for when he throws the old Schmidtie gem with 10K's. This dodgers team has better hitters than past years and should give Young some fits. I like the fact that both back end bullpens are shaky right now. Saito went out for the Dodgers and Broxton didn't exactly look like a saviour last night in his first chance to close. Whoops, I was talking Giants for a second. Hoffman is solid, but to get to him with Young is the key to our over.

I'm on the over as I expect it to go to 9.

ROLL WITH ME ON DODGERS/PADRES over 7

    Good luck tonight.

I'm playing all 4 of these but not counting on record..hoping the positive juice gets me ahead in this 4 pack:

KC Royals laying 1 unit to win 2.3 units

Tampa Bay Devil Rays laying 1 unit to win 2.5 units

Minnesota Twins laying 1 unit to win 1.8 units

San Francicso Giants laying 1 unit to win 1.5 units

I really do love the dogs tonight. If 2 of the 4 listed above hit, I'll be happy. 3 would be incredible...anyways..I'm on the two above for an average size and the 4 dogs for 1 unit. Incorporating a little bit of the dog system I posted awhile ago but also really love the spots.

    Short bits:

Bonds is batting 333 lifetime against the Unit with 8 jacks.

KC has won 8 of their last 12 on the road and their last 2 at the Jake.

Tampa Bay has their "phenom" coming up to take the hill while Halladay is coming off the DL. Supposedly Sonnanstine is the real deal.

Scott Baker is a talented pitcher and that pesky lineup and good management is a good reason to back the Twinkies. Don't forget their amazing back end bullpen.

    I'm out..GL tonight.

    Week 10: 3-2 ATS

I got hosed everywhere yesterday..royals losing by one, Drays giving up 6 in the 9'th, O's giving up a 4-0 lead. I'll be back tonight, real busy at work. Sorry for the bad day, it was bad beat Tuesday for Chris. No early for me, but got a hammer for tonight. Take care

    Week 10 ATS: 3-2 ATS

    WEDNESDAY:

Roll with me on the Arizona Diamondbacks RL +115.

    Webb/Morris must go.

The Dbacks are one of the hottest teams in MLB and tonight they get rounding into shape B. Webb on the hill. Morris has done well but Bond's shin splints are an issue, the offense is anemic, and the bullpen is terrible. I see the Dbacks winning 5-1 and eventually forcing Morris out of the game.

    ARIZONA RUN LINE -1.5 +115

    Good luck whatever your on.

    GOW goes off Friday

    Week 10 ATS: 4-3 ATS

All right Nats under got it done..here's my card for tonight:

    THURSDAY NIGHT

ROLL WITH ME ON THE WHITE SOX under 10 1/2

** I also like theSox in this game and am betting it, but I will roll the White Sox under. Mussina has trouble with this team and the Yanks are due for a loss. In his last two starts in Chicago Moose lost 3-4 and 4-5. After watching this game last night I can tell you three things....The White Sox bats are freezing cold, the Yanks pitching is getting much better, and the Yanks bullpen has finally come around.

I really like the under tonight but it's an average sized play for me.

Did you know that in the last 8 games the Under is 6-0-2 ATS? I think the number is high because Moose has been getting lit up and Contreras has been hit or miss. But this is a pitcher's matchup tonight and we're gonna cash on the under.

ROLL WITH ME ON THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX UNDER 10 1/12

    Play #2:

Roll with me on Zona under 8. Again I'm scared of the back end rotations but as well as the Dbacks are playing I have to back the under. Livan looks great lately, Barry has swollen shins, Lowry is having his best year ever after a lot of hype, it all points to a nice under.

ROLL WITH ME ON ZONA UNDER 8

    Opinions:

    White Sox ML +125

    Cincy under 9 1/2

    GL boyz....

I'm so bitter about the way this week is going that I am going to take the rest of the week off. I've lost 4 games this week in the 9'th inning and I know better than to push it.

    See ya Monday.

All right, I will not succumbe, I've had 4 games circled since Monday and some bad beats this week isn't gonna stop me. here's my horror story:

    Tampa Bay +230...up 11-5 in the 9'th...lose 12-11

KC +210..Sabathia throws a 1 hit shutout and we lose 1-0.

Yanks under 10 1/2....1-1 in the bottom of the 7'th and it ends 9-3.

Zona -1 1/2...wins 1-0 and leaves 4 runners stranded in the last 2 innings.

Zona under 8.....2 errors and 2 unearned runs and I lose 5-4.

Anyways..I somehow managed to go 4-5 ATS so far this week so let's bang these four games:

    FRIDAY NIGHT..>GOW:

GAME OF THE WEEK TOTAL: Seattle/San Diego under 7 1/2. Two hot pitchers, two West coast boys going off. Germano has been incredible at holds and keeping the runs low. Batista is one of the hotter pitchers on the West Coast. Most schemps are gonna see 7 1/2 and think an easy over. NOT SO FAST...with good back end pens and two quality starters, I like the under to be rather easy tonight. I don't think it will go over 4.

ROLL WITH ME ON SEATTLE UNDER 7 1/2...GAME OF THE WEEK TOTAL

    GAME OF THE WEEK SIDE:

Homer, HOmer, Homer. IF you play fantasy, you know this kid. He's catching +125 tonight. He won't go 5, he will go 7. The kid can pitch and unless your an MLB diehard, you don't know him. But by the end of the year you will. The Reds are dying for a QS (Quality Start) and Homer's gonna give it to him. With the way Phillips, Griffey, and Encarnacion are hitting, it looks great to me. Reds bullpen terrifys me, but I'm praying Homer goes at least 7 and gets a nice lead from the big bats.

ROLL WITH ME ON CINCINATTI +125 Ml GOW SIDE

SCREW YOU BAD BEATS...no more this weekend and I mean it. I've had the worst luck this week but still treading water..so let's bang tonight and get back on track.

    HOMER TO THE HIZZY

    GERMANO TO THE HIZZY

ROLL WITH ME ON ARIZONA +110 ML

I'll take Owings over Taverez all day. In addition, the DBacks have been playing well. This is a big series for them and facing Tavarez will do wonders for their offense. I worry that phenom Micah Owings might be intimidated by Papi and Company, but the Red Sox are slumping a little bit and I see the Dbacks taking this one tonight.
