Week 10: 3-0 ATS
TUESDAY:
Jesus I want to roll the huge dogs tonight. I won't officially release them but see below and let's see if I can hit enough dogs to show a profit.
ROLL WITH ME ON Baltmore +135 ML
There's a lot of reasons I'm on this game. In fact, I looked at about 8 games tonight and I liked the dog in all but one. This one stands out for a number of reasons...
Burress is a very dominant pitcher on the road and has been hot. He just beat Boston and Anaheim in their parks not allowing more than 2 runs in either game.
Baek is a decent pitcher, but not what I expected after last year. He has lost velocity and if he isn't hitting with his curve, he hangs em out to dry. A very bad team to do this against as the Orioles bats have been hot.
The O's had a chance to win yesterday but Staff Ace Daniel Cabrera was not sharp and cost them the game. Guthrie and Burress have given hope to the O's rotation.
Baltimore is enduring a long road trip and the pub is hammering on Seattle. I see very good value here and think this line should be more around a pick. I'm rollin the O's and hope we don't give it back in the 9'th. Ray has been a little shaky this year, but I'll take my chances.
ROLL WITH ME ON BALTIMORE +135 @ Seattle
Play #2:
Roll with me on the Dodgers/Pads over 7. There's a number of reasons for this. I've had a career long love affair with Jason Schmidt in fantasy baseball. I know a lot about his career and this is a good spot to play the over. He hasn't been dominant in years and his fastball which used to be clocked in the mid 90's..is now down to the low 90's high 80's. He used to be a K gun pitcher and now he must get outs the old fashioned way. I think he'll press tonight and get lit up like a christmas tree in his first start in over 2 months. Most Schmidtie starts the past few years have gone over except for when he throws the old Schmidtie gem with 10K's. This dodgers team has better hitters than past years and should give Young some fits. I like the fact that both back end bullpens are shaky right now. Saito went out for the Dodgers and Broxton didn't exactly look like a saviour last night in his first chance to close. Whoops, I was talking Giants for a second. Hoffman is solid, but to get to him with Young is the key to our over.
I'm on the over as I expect it to go to 9.
ROLL WITH ME ON DODGERS/PADRES over 7
Good luck tonight.
I'm playing all 4 of these but not counting on record..hoping the positive juice gets me ahead in this 4 pack:
KC Royals laying 1 unit to win 2.3 units
Tampa Bay Devil Rays laying 1 unit to win 2.5 units
Minnesota Twins laying 1 unit to win 1.8 units
San Francicso Giants laying 1 unit to win 1.5 units
I really do love the dogs tonight. If 2 of the 4 listed above hit, I'll be happy. 3 would be incredible...anyways..I'm on the two above for an average size and the 4 dogs for 1 unit. Incorporating a little bit of the dog system I posted awhile ago but also really love the spots.
Short bits:
Bonds is batting 333 lifetime against the Unit with 8 jacks.
KC has won 8 of their last 12 on the road and their last 2 at the Jake.
Tampa Bay has their "phenom" coming up to take the hill while Halladay is coming off the DL. Supposedly Sonnanstine is the real deal.
Scott Baker is a talented pitcher and that pesky lineup and good management is a good reason to back the Twinkies. Don't forget their amazing back end bullpen.
I'm out..GL tonight.
