Nice 2-1 night nailing the fat +165 doggie! Did not think the Isles would be able to take a game from sabres but this may be a decent series after all!
CALGARY/DETROIT UNDER 5 +105.....pushed the first time but this one will be that much more physical and don't expect Kipper to give up 4 goals again!
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ML -110....Pens choke every year and Crosby showed the leadership needed by these young Pens to knock Sens off. Pittsburgh will be a rockin' as they've been waiting for a pucks playoffs for ages!
MINNESOTA WILD ML -130....Down 2-0, this team is way to talented to go down 3-0 and they are the most amazing home team you will find. It was expected they blew 2 on the road and they may very well dominate 2 at home now. I will take their 29-7 home record all night!
VANCOUVER CANUCKS/DALLAS STARS OVER 5 +110....Look for this one to revert back to game 1 style with open plays and the puck will find the back of the net a bunch of times. It may be tightish but I see 5 goals minimum in this one!

I'll have to disagree Mike.
Ottawa wins this one easily. Ottawa if a FAR superior team. They dominated Pittsburgh for 5 periods. The fact Pittsburgh gave up 9 power plays is also very concerning. Ottawa will not let those chances go to waste today. If Pittsburgh continues to play with fire then Ottawa will score plenty of goals. Keep in mind Ottawa is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games on the road. I look for them to continue their winnings ways on the road. I live in Ottawa and there is huge need for this team to prove they're not playoff chokers. They have enough experience now to overcome Pitt.
I'm a Leaf fan, so this is not hometown bias.
And.... how stupid is Ottawa for not getting Roberts. He destroyed them when he was a Leaf.
One last thing. Overall, I hope Pitt wins. I'm annoyed with these Sens fans. They don't even sell-out playoff games with Sidney Crosby playing in his first game. They don't deserve it.

I do hope Pittsburgh wins. I'd love to see the smug look on everyone's face here.
In Canada, we have an unwritten rule that you cheer for any Canadian team before an American team.
All of Ottawa was cheering for the Islanders in the last game.
If given the choice, I think they'd rather have the Leafs lose than actually winning themselves. Very annoying

First one is down with 3-1 wings win and game goes under 5. Look at #'s from that game and see how Kipper kept this game under on his own standing on his head!
While I really like the last 3, I must say that the MINNESOTA WILD is one of if not the best play I will probably have in the first round of the playoffs. These guys won't go down 3-0!

I like the Stars at home -150 and the Wild -140.
i love the under for Ducks/Wild, but it's 5 and -130. not worth it.

Tonight it turns back around, I hope...

BUFFALO/NYI UNDER 6 -120...The return of Dipietro has really motivated this team to not only play better defence, but tougher hockey and the Sabres are going to be pissed about last game. Buffalo won't give up much and The Islanders should hold Buffalo to 3 hitting an under again.
SANJOSE/NASHVILLE UNDER 5.5 -110....This sucker has gone way over both games already and line is still the same. Both teams will find it tougher to score tonight as the series is tied and the battle is well underway. Just look at shots on net, neither team had over 25 last game and if these goalies hold somewhat of their own, this stays under.

Great 3-0 sweep and every write up played just as planned. Look at lightning's BIG 3, St Louis 3 assists, richards and vinny each goal and an assist. Islanders holds sabres to 3 and hit under, and final game was very physical with solid goaltending.
On to today:
5 games resulting in 5 plays!
ATLANTA/NYR UNDER 5.5 -130...The high scoring series turned low scoring? Yes it will happen again tonight because for some reason the Rangers decided to play some defence in these playoffs. This one will find an under.
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ML +100...After game 1 I thought they were not going to make it but game 2 they shocked me and won. After game 3 they had a bad 2nd period, tonight they have learned and will play 60 minutes of hockey for the W.
DALLAS STARS ML -165...This is a classic back and forth series and look for it to go forth this game as the Stars tie things up behind Turco. They can't afford to go down 3-1.
MINNESOTA WILD ML -110...It has happened in sports coming back from 3-0 and the Wild 'do' have the ability to do it because they can streak and win a ton in a row while the Ducks are more than capable of fading. However, I see Minny winning this one and then the Ducks closing them out at home.
CALGARY FLAMES ML +125...Calgary is a top-tier home team and theyre gonna need to show it or this will be done. Kipper will be great once again tonight and the Flames, who have improved slowly in this series, will finally take one from the Wings.

Ottawa -130
I'll have to take Ottawa again. They have outplayed Pittsburgh in all but one, maybe two periods. It comes down to shots - a category in which Ottawa leads Pittsburgh 99-66. Game two was a wake up call and the Ottawa Captain, for the first time in his life, became a leader in the post-season. As much as I hate it, Ottawa in 5.
Dallas -155
Goalies rule in this one. Vancouver was lucky to win game 3. But, Dallas has won four of the last five in this matchup at home and I like them to win again here. They have given up just 10 total goals over their last five games and Vancouver isn't likely to score much here. The Stars are 29-18 vs. winning teams this season. I'm picking the home team for the rest of the series. Vancouver in 7.
Detroit -137
Sorry, but Calgary is playing awful and Detroit outclasses them. So far Detroit has outshot Calgary 97-35! Calgary is tough at home but right now they have no momentum and can't score agains the tough Red Wings defense. The Flames are now 0-6 in April. Detroit is 27-10 in second-half play over the past two seasons vs. winning teams. Detroit is motivated and Calgary has no momentum at all. Wings sweep, then lose to SJ next round.

I didn't realize it was your own thread and I'm not meaning to contradict you, just giving my opinion. I don't always pick the favourites, I was on Tampa last two games (won), Pitt on game 1 (lost).
I wanted to find a reason to pick Calgary in my heart, but looking at it, I just couldn't. I think they've lost their motivation. For hockey's sake, I hope the sea of red in the Saddledome inspires them, cause their coach isn't. He's fired within a week.

Calgary will almost surely be outshot heavily again but they have the goalie to keep them in it. They also play much tougher at home which will help them on the defensive end look for them to continue taking shots while trying to screen hasek in front and maybe deflect a couple in. Iginla will show why hes a top-tier talent.

Well I went 2-3 last night but I don't see why it should not have ended 4-1. If you saw the Penguins game look at scoring chances they must have had 10-3 against the Sens who also had the fluke goal of the playoffs to start things off. Then as I said the Rangers D was stellar but how does a playoff team give up 7 goals?!?!? to hit the over. Atleast the FLAMES came to play as well as the WILD who look like they may have turned things around.

Well my 1-2 night EASILY could have swept and lighting lose in OT and buff. game goes over VERY late with just one minute to go. Tonight I will bang some winners including my PICK OF THE FIRST ROUND. I will try to have one BEST pick each round that will a GOW type of thing.
