Good Afternoon gentlemen, game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals gets under way tonight In Tampa Bay Florida at 8PM!

In Game 4 Bolts makes an early five on three goal stand up in controversy ridden contest give a team like the Bolts a full two minutes of five on three and its almost an automatic goal.

So when the Flames got dinged for coincidental minors only 1:52 in the game, the script appeared to be written. It seemed almost certain that the Lightning would get the first goal and in accordance with the well established late playoff trend they'd therefore win, and thats exactly what happened. For the fourth time in four games, the team that scored first won. That goal scored at 2:48 stood up all night as the Bolts won 1-0 to tie the Stanley Cup final 2-2 and it was easily the most controversy ridden game of the series. Coincidental minors are not common at this stage of the season and to me that call stinks!

However the cheap shot that Ville Nieminen gave on Bolts Vincent Lecavailier has cost him a major penalty plus one game suspension which he will serve tonight and will cost the Flames the Cup!

Game 4 is over gentlemen lets get ready to rumble tonight in Tampa Bay:

The Flames are 3-0 in Game 5s they have played in the playoffs. And they have given up only one goal in those games while scoring six. They beat Vancouver 2-1 to take a 3-2 series leads in Round 1. They beat Detroit 1-0 to take a 3-2 series lead in Round 2 and they beat San Jose 3-0 to take a 3-2 series lead in Round 3. All three wins were on the road and only once, against Vancouver, did the Flames return home and lose Game 6. They clinched against Detroit and San Jose in Game 6. Anybody see a pattern here?

However the Flames haven't played any team like Bolts a fast paced number one in the league... more then one line clicking on all cylinders and they are 7-2 at home which I think they have the edge tonight!

So... my play will be on Tampa Bay ML tonight so far my prediction in this series is 2-2!

    Lets drop the puck!

    Good Luck bet smart!$

When 2 teams are fighting for the cup you would have thought that one would not have acted like a goon team but they did!!!! Last time i checked the refs where not wearing skates so how the fuck can many say the refs cost Calgary the game and maybe the Cup!!!! This series is far from over and the best team will win it!!!

    CLEVELAND (22 - 27) at ANAHEIM (31 - 20): Play On The Anaheim Angles -139 6 :D :D :D :D :D :D 6/3/2004 9:05:00 PM

Thursday, 6/3/2004 CLIFTON LEE (L) vs. KELVIM ESCOBAR (R) Escobar will enter this game with an ERA of 3.15 over his last three starts, down from 4.21 for the season so he is getting back better form. In those three starts vs the White Sox (road), Baltimore (home), and Baltimore (road) he as gone 20 IP giving up 19 hits 7 ER, 3 home runs, 8 walks while striking out 11 vs these heavy hitting teams. Since 97' ESCOBAR is 3-1 when starting against CLEVELAND with an ERA of 3.56 and a WHIP of 1.055. His team's record is 3-1 (+2.0 units) in these starts. Clifton Lee also comes in very strong for the Indians but in his 5 road starts the Indians are 2-3 while he is 1-0. His road ERA of 3.60 is up from his season ERA of 2.87 and he has at times had some control problems walking 17 in his 30 IP on the road. The Cleveland bullpen has been just plain bad this year and even worse on the road. For the season they have an ERA 6.12 overall and 8.90 on the road while the Angels bullpen has been great at home with an ERA of 1.72. CLEVELAND is 1-6 (-5.2 Units) against the money line in road games vs. AL teams scoring 5.2 or more runs/game on the season this season. The average score was CLEVELAND 5.1, OPPONENT 8.3 -. CLEVELAND is 1-8 (-7.8 Units) against the money line in road games vs. teams whose hitters strike out 6 or less times/game this season. The average score was CLEVELAND 5.8, OPPONENT 6.9 - . ANAHEIM is 9-0 (+10.3 Units) against the money line vs. a starting pitcher whose gives up 5.5 or less hits/start this season. The average score was ANAHEIM 7.3, OPPONENT 3.4 -. I also like this angle. We lost with a similar anlge yesterday with Clemens but I am going to stay with it one more time. Play Against - Any team (CLEVELAND) - with a starting pitcher who is undefeated after 5 or more starts, in June games. (27-11 over the last 5 seasons.) (71.1%, +20.4 units) I believe Escobar is heading in the right direction and with Lee being undefeated at 5-0 and being posted as a medium dog it really appears to me that the book is fishing for Indians money. I like the Angles chances to play some small ball with their speed, get Lee in trouble and get to the Indians bullpen which has stopped almost no one this year. I'm rolling
