    SBU/Temple Over 154

Both teams giving up 78ppg in A-10 games. SBU giving up 51.3% FGs, Temple 49.5%. Temple averaging 79ppg in A-10, SBU 72ppg (although over 80 vs bad defensive teams).

In their last 7 games, Temple hasn’t scored fewer than 74 points in a game. Throwing out the Duq game (scored 92), they averaged 80.3 (83.7 in the 3 home games).

I think Temple should hit 80+ and SBU should get 70+.

    Also adding St. Louis +9.5

They've faced each other 3 times last 2 years and SLU has been dog in each one and has won each one SU, including as +13/14 dog at Xavier last year. Doellman sprained ankle last game and is listed as doubtful, haven't looked hard enough to see if he or Duncan is playing.

And good news about the Duquesne over, they don’t think they’ve played fast enough yet. My only worry is La Salle trying to slow it down. From Post Gazette:

Despite putting together a four-game win streak while scoring 90 or more points in four consecutive games for the first time in school history, Everhart doesn't believe Duquesne (9-11, 5-4 Atlantic 10) has come close to peaking.

"I think we certainly can score even more," said Everhart, whose Dukes have a winning record in the league this late in the season for the first time since 1993-94. "We weren't perfect offensively. Our goal is to take 100 shots a game."

Everhart looked at the statistic sheet from the St. Bonaventure game and smiled. "We had only 83."

Also from Post-Gazette, adding to my Duquesne play (now +3.5) liking Dukes plus the points even more. I would think they win this game…….

While Duquesne has reversed its fortunes the past month, La Salle has fallen on hard times. The Explorers have lost three games in a row, five of six and six of eight. "Even when you're winning, you have to be worried about your team's mentality, but, with a young team like ours, you have to be a little more supportive," La Salle coach John Giannini said. "We're approaching Duquesne like it's no different than getting ready for any other game. We're telling our players this is not the same team you played before. We're treating it like we're playing a team for the first time."

The matchup appears to favor Duquesne.

Duquesne has been forcing a lot of turnovers, and committing turnovers has plagued La Salle all season. The Dukes are scoring points as a record pace, going over 90 in four consecutive games for the first time, and the Explorers have been struggling to stop teams from scoring.

"Turnovers have been hurting us the most," Giannini said. "And our defense still is not at a high level, much less a solid level. Duquesne's forcing a lot of turnovers, that's an issue for our team especially.

"Our guys are making bad decisions with the ball. They're picking up the dribble a little too early and jumping in the air with no place to pass the ball. It's been a mixed bag ,"

Duquesne has forced nearly 23 turnovers per game since it went to a pressure defense and committed an average of 16.4. The Dukes had just 11 turnovers against St. Bonaventure.

Two Duquesne plays my favorites of the day.
