Great day going 6-0 on my posted plays and unfortunately 0-2 on my non-posted plays (Knicks and Celtics). Here are todays plays.

    NBA

    Miami/Chi ov 188

    MLB

    Anaheim ml @ -132

    Oakland ml @ -130

    Houston ml @ -150

    NHL

    Nashville ml @ -135

    UConn -2

    Both games under the total

Just a little note about opening day(s) in Baseball. Since 1999 the following teams have all gone over the posted total on opening day, so this is something just to look at and examine. The teams are as follows; Florida, Montreal, Atlnta and Philadelphia. Just a piece of info.

AHHH, How bout them Islanders last night $$$$$$

Here's today's best play on the table !!

    NHL

    Montreal - 0.5

After last night, the Sabres have nothing to play for after losing a playoff spot with a win by the Isles. Then to top it off, the Sabs lose to the Leafs $$$, now your asking them to make a trip to Montreal that ABSOULTLEY Nobody wants to make. Montreal wins in a blowout I feel.

Montreal needs a little momentum heading into the playoffs, and look for them to get that today against Buffalo. If Buffalo could be the spoiler here, it might be a different story, but the Habs finish the season on a winning note after struggling as of late.

    CBB

    UConn - 2 avg.

Good Luck to ALL and Bet Wisely !!!!!

Another 3-1 ATS night (Won Minny Under, Sunday's Isles, and the Nuggets, lost Utah under) brings me to 6-2 ATS for the week and a plus 4 unit ranking going into the big guns today.

    UCONN vs. Duke:

Duke is a 2 pt dog as a #1 seed. Only the second time in 10 years that a #1 seed is getting points against a lower ranked seed in the Final Four. Duke has covered all of their games in the dance until Xavier gave them a scare. UCONN on the other hand..has been UCONN. They have smoked everyone in their path (including my MONMOUTH) on the way to the final four. In addition, UCONN has Okafor playing today and word on the street is he's healthier than Duhon.

Here's what I'm taking and why:

UCONN-2.....Quite simply, between a matchup of two talented programs and coaches, I'm going with the more athletic and capable of the two. When your bringing National high school player of the year Villeaufuente off the bench and have guys like Brown, Gorden, and Anderson all bombing from the outside, you have a damn scary offensive team. Did I mention Defensive player of the year Okafor? Has anyone noticed UCONN's stellar defense this tourney too? The only team to put a number on them was Bama, and that was after the game was in hand. Duke has great leadership and Deng will be an absolute stud..mark my words. But not today, Calhoun continues the 99 magic and will take Duke down. Dukies will find ways to score, but won't be able to keep up down the stretch. The X Factor: Reddick..will he get open to set, plant, and shoot. I hate Duke, and this kid is the streakiest shooter they've ever had. He's cold today, but hopefully throws in enough to cover my huge over play.

PLAY ON UCONN -2 with CONFIDENCE!!!!

PLAY ON OVER 143 1/2...Sorry JT..this game is going way over and with a 2pt spread, OT is always a possibility.

    Okie State and G Tech:

Everyone has fallen in love with the Yellow Jackets. I'm hearing ML plays, blah blah blah....Let's not forget Okie State had the toughest region in the country (Pitt basically at home, St. Joe's at home, Memphis..a dangerous team this year.) And you know what, Okie State beat all of those teams. They are the #1 team in the COUNTRY in shooting field goal percentage. They also play nasty defense. G Tech has the athletes and the bench, but I'll take Eddie Sutton today and the boys to cover the number. I do agree with JT though on the under in this one.

    RECAP

MY BIGGEST BET OF THE 2004 SEASON: UCONN/DUKE OVER 144 TO THE FUCKIN BANK!!!!!

    Another big Dog: UCONN -2

    Average: Okie State -4

    Average: Okie State under 142

    NBA:

    Miami/Chicago over 188

    NY/Philly under 175 1/2

    MLS:

    KC Wizards +150

GOOD LUCK ALL, HIT EM HARD>>>>>

    NBA-

Bulls+6.5 -- don't laugh, they will cover, if not win the game. I love a home dog that has been consistently tough on their own court and that has 89% of the public betting against them. that equals sure winner.

cavs-6 ---- blowout last nighton the road. LeBron gets home and with the help of his boys, does a serious number on the Warriors.

Mavs-13 --- no defense from the Suns = big numbers from the Mavs. both teams running up and down the court seeing who can score the most... my money goes with the better scoring team at home.

Sixers-2 --- Home team wins and covers in this series. and the knicks SUCK. Sixers are almost a decent team when AI isn't hogging the stage. Sixers go big and get the easy 2 point cover.

    NCAA

UCONN-2 ---- Only 2?? I know it's Duke they are playing, but come on... no one has played within 10 of these the whole tourney. Easy pick.

    OK St.-4

It may be close for te first half, but Eddie Sutton's halftime pep talk will bring the boys out for a big 2nd and the easy cover.

Well my NBA debut was less than spectacular the other night! It is just so unpredictable this year & quite honestly I do not enjoy it like I used to. I really miss the good old days in the NBA. However, I do enjoy watching LeBron play, & I am starting to believe in the hype & the fact that he could bring the excitement back. Still, it does not even compare to the college game in my book & do we have a couple good ones tonight or what!!!!!!!

UCONN & DUKE - I never bet against the Blue Devils! However, in this game I will not be betting the line either way. Everyone seems to be humping the Huskies & they may very well win by DD's but I just do not see it. Uconn is 0-2 vs the ACC this year & I just do not think they have had as tough of a ride to the final four as Okla State & Duke. I think this will be a great game between two excellent teams with legendary coaches.

With all that said I do love the over in this one. At first I was leary due to the fact that in the last 10 games Duke is 5-5 & UCONN is 4-6 vs the over.

But in my opinion this will be a heavyweight fight, trading baskets to the very end eclipsing the 143.5 point total.

    UCONN & DUKE Over 143.5

Oklahoma State & Georgia Tech - I am a Okie State fan & I layed a small wager on them before the tourney to make it to the Championship Game so I will not back off now. GA Tech has had a great run & they have found ways to win when everyone counted them out. Very admirable but tonight it ends. Okie States defense is too much & their smart shot selection on offense will prevail. They will pull away in the second half & cover the spread.

    Oklahoma State -4

    NCAA

    UCONN & DUKE over 143.5

    OKLAHOMA ST -4

    NBA

    Philadelphia -1 ( bought 1/2 point )

    NY / PHILA over 174

    Cleveland ML

    Miami -5 ( bought 1/2 point )

    Phoenix +14 ( bought 1/2 point )

    NO / PORT over 175

That is all for today. Enjoy the games tonight guys. It has been fun this college season, thanks. GLTA

Went 3-0 yesterday on posted picks winning with Calgary, San Antonio, and Atlanta. After starting the week 0-7, now sitting at 8-9. Here are my plays:

    1) Miami (-4.5) - Grabbed the Sportsbook.com overnight line early this morning and when regular lines came up, up to 6.5 due to many Chicago injuries.

    2) Oklahoma St (-4) - I have Ok St and UCONN playing in the championship in my office pool. Everyone loves Georgia Tech for some reason so maybe I'll wait to lay my bet just before game time and hope for a better line.

    3) UCONN (-2) - UCONN has been dominate and Duke hasn't been that strong finishing off their regular season. Going with the better team and I have them winning in my office pool so 2 pts is nothing.

Good luck on your bets today!! :D
