UFC 60

UFC 60 is coming with an incredible match for the ages. UFC hall of famer and the original bad ass, Royce (pronounce Hoyce) Gracie and the Gracie JuJitsu Clan take on the greatest Welterweight in the history of the UFC Matt Hughes. This is an incredible fight for anyone that knows the UFC. The rest of the card hasn't been announced but I think you might see yet another Main Event upset. This is a non title fight due to Royce not having an inked contract for more than 1 fight with Dana White and the UFC. I can't wait for this fight live and there's a good chance I'll be at the Staples Center with my buddies Como, Billz, and BTG003. I will post the lines on this thread when they announce the entire fight card.

We slammed UFC 59 winning over 12 units on 3 bets with a huge doggie hitten.

Let's roll fellas. UFC has taken over as the main stream combat sport. Sorry Boxing, but look at the revenue and the gates and you'll see UFC is the new sport.

Opening line for the NON title fight between Matt Hughes and Royce Gracie.

    UFC 60HUGHES VS GRACIE

    FIGHTERS MUST FIGHT FOR ACTION

    8:30 PM30101

    30102MATT HUGHES

    ROYCE GRACIE-330

    +280

    Hughes is -330.

I'll have my fight picks posted on this thread the weekend of May 25'th. I'm not a huge fan of the card, but I'm glad to see Diego Sanchez get in the octagon again. There are 2 fights I think will have a surprise winner. More to come..but wanted to post the fight line. I'm thinking it will go down on the favorite and we'll see more around a -230 come fight time. I'm not advocating Royce just yet, but let's see what happens on this line.

Tim Sylvia also went down and still cashed for us a huge dog. I'm real interested to see what happens here.

    have a good one.

i see a HUGHES decision here. i just think that he is too strong for Royce.

there was a reason why Gracie left the sport. people started to catch on to his craft, therefore, he wanted weight classes implimented.

..but remember..Gracie didn't leave the UFC, he got a record contract from the PRIDE fighting championships. He also makes more money running the Gracie family JuJitsu schools (the Cesar run Gracie school in LA is top dollar). So, I don't think it's about the talent.

Something else that scares me about this fight for Hughes is the fact that it's a NON title fight. Sure, we have to be fair to GSP (George ST. Pierre) and make sure he gets his title shot, but Gracie has NEVER lost in the Octagon. One draw to Shamrock and all the rest submission victories. Hughes almost got tapped by Trigg before a monster comeback.

I'm a huge Hughes fan as my Avatar suggests. But man Nooch, this fight is not a gimme, not even close. I'm not gonna cap it yet, but my iniitial lean is a 2nd straight main event upset with Royce winning by submission. However, I'm not advocating playing it yet, but my lean is again on Royce. My biggest bet of that card will be on the undercard .

Take care...lookin forward to that fight.

As predicted, it's starting to drop. Hughes is now down to -310 and as low as -300 on some sites. I'm definetely leaning on Gracie now, but still won't make it official. I'll have plays on the following 3 fights:

Jeremy Horn vs. Chael Sonnen (should be an easy winner)

Mike Swick vs. Joe Riggs (will be my best bet)

Royce Gracie vs. Matt Hughes in a non title fight headliner (leaning towards the dog again but haven't booked yet)

Good luck fellas, this card has a great headliner, but isn't as deep as UFC 59 in terms of quality fights. Lots of up and comers on the rise fighting has beens and hanger on's. Swick/Riggs should be a brawl and Gracie/Hughes is gonna end up with a submission win by one of the two. It will not go the distance and neither guy will get knocked out or referee stoppage due to blows.

    2 weeks away..can't wait.

UFC 60 in LA...look for Como ringside.
