NCAAB Total Wins Pool

For about the 10th year in a row or so I’m in a regular season NCAA Hoops pool. Last year was the first year I ran it and I’m doing it again this year. The general concept is to pick four teams that will total the most wins thru conference tournaments (NCAA and post-season NIT don’t count). Exhibitions and wins vs non D-I schools do not count either.

Following tradition, the Sporting News preview’s Top 25 ranking is used. The following combos are allowed:

Pick 1 A, then 3 E

Pick 1B, you can pick a D

Pick 1 C, you can pick 2 D

You can pick 3 D, 1 E

You can pick 4 E’s

A: Michigan State, Duke, Texas, UConn, Nova, Arizona

B: Oklahoma, Louisville, Kentucky, Gonzaga, BC, Nevada

C: Syracuse, Stanford, Memphis, WF, UCLA, Iowa State

D: Texas Tech, Georgetown, Illinois, Alabama, Iowa, Maryland

E: All other D-I schools

No duplicate entries, first come, first served. Updates sent out every Monday. Pool is always a lot of fun and makes it interesting following teams like Vermont, WKU, Charleston, etc. that you otherwise might not even care about. Always seems to come down to the conference tournaments too. Prior to last year, we usually got around 100+ people, with the winner taking $700 or so. However last year we only had around 50 due to the guy who used to run it, switching jobs or some crap and some people not being contacted/losing interest. Hopefully will get at least 80. Only $10 to enter. Multiple entries encouraged.

If anyone is interested, just send me a PM with your email address and I’ll pass along the rest of the details.
