New Orleans PPs not out yet!

Here is my Southwest Stakes Picks -

Smarty Jones is the best Horse, however he will go off less than even. Not a great play, but this can make a great play! He is comin off a lay-off! If he runs like he did in November - it's his race! Give it to him! However, with a horse like this going less than even - That makes other good horses VERY GOOD PLAYS - the key is, are there other good horses? YES, there are!

    I'll take $100 WPS - Number Juan

And $50 EX BX on Number Juan & South Africa

I'll post New Orleans after the PPs come out!

    $50 WPS Seattle Fitz

    $50 WPS Saint Liam

$50 Ex Bx SF & SL

    Good Luck!

Okay boys and girls....today's feasty 3 yo fare is the "Southwest" run as race #9 at Oaklawn Park. First look gives a heavy advantage to a speedster named SMARTY JONES. But one must look a bit deeper into the race to see that he is very beatable. He will not have the lead all to himself. I foresee him being pressed early by PRO PRADO which will not bode well for his early kick. Trainer Bob Holthus has had his eyes fixed on this race for quite some time for both of his colts. They have prepper well and are both ready to fire up big races at the perfect time. On the far turn keep your eyes on PRO PRADO'S coupled stablemate. I vision PROPER PRADO rushing up with a flurry to overtake the early pacesetters and pass them in deep stretch. Pace, pace, pace...this race (like all) is key upon that aspect. If the fractions are honest, then I see this scenario unfolding. Should be a short exacta with SOUTH AFRICA up for third or fourth. Stay clear of the prohibitive favorite in this one mile slugfest. Good luck to all!!!!!

    Win PROPER PRADO/PRO PRADO entry

Ex PROPER PRADO over SMARTY JONES and SOUTH AFRICA

    The numbers

    Win #1

    Ex #1 over the 6,7

STOP HORSIN' AROUND.....GET SOME $$$$ DOWN ON THIS GIFT!!!!!!!
