FINALLY $$$$$$ When it matters boys !!
Looks like some scary stuff this weekend on the grid-iron.
NE @ PITT**
An instant classic developing here. Let's see what we have here. Mr. Brady has yet to lose a playoff game and if I am correct, the Pats under Mr. Belli has yet to lose on the 2nd turn when facing a team twice in the same season. Much has been said about Big Ben but nothing has been thrown on his shoulders. You can thank Duece and Jerome for that. With that said, the O-Line must have had one hell of a year, huh ? The only way to cap this cap is from the other side of the ball. DEFENSE !! Let me know what you come up with and I will let you know what I come with and it should be a SURE-FIYAH-WINNER $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ATL @ PHILLY
Another blessing in disguise !! Let's see as far as this game is concerned. You have 2 QB's that are exactly alike. You have one that played in a dome in College and you have one that plays in a Dome now. Reversal of fortune. The good thing about this game is, if you calculate the weapons, this should prepare the verdict for the final outcome. Trust me when I say this, WEATHER and the COLD will NOT be an issue boys !!!!!!!
My play on this game will be
ATLANTA + 6
Good Luck to all and
BET WISELY $$$$$$$
I will get back to ya on the Pats*Steelers game.

No prediction on Pats & Pitt game because I bleed Black & Gold ( will be at Heinz Sunday) but a Pitt slant on the game! First I do not think this will be a game that the Pats " man handle" Pitt ! Has not happened all year will not happen Sunday! The factor I think that is being downplayed is Pitts OFFENSIVE LINE ! Last game they just blew the Pats off the ball all day! Over 220 running yards! But the real shocker came with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game and the ball at MIDFIELD the Pats went INTO THE GOAL LINE DEFENSE! Pitt took 6 minutes off the clock running it down their throat for 3 first downs to ice the game! Defense for both are good but.... Take Pitts all day long! Only advantage for Pats QB ( maybe)! Dont count out Ben ! Even as bad as day as he had last week he still took them on a 70 yd drive with under 10 minutes left to tie! Then 85 in OT! Kid got it! Dillon next overrated question! Forget it, first he does not play on the defensive front and thats where this game will be won ( most games are won here, but no talk about Pitts advantage here) Second he never ever hurt Pitt at Cinncy! Big straight ahead runners are the Steelers favorites! They struggle with cut back runners who take their time! Sorry Dillon will be no factor! LAST WEEKS GAME is just that last week game do not put to much stalk in that game( like I did on Colts last week)! Pitt plays DEFENSE hard all day they are way way underrated ! I look for a great game from two good teams with PITT squeaking one out! But do not see a big win for either team ! BUCKLE UP PATS ! COME AND MEET MY LITTLE FRIEND TROY P & BOYS ! WE AINT THE COLTS!

Steelers defense is better all around and much healthier then NE, yes in the 1st game the Stee's D totally dominate NE but this is a complete different game with Corey playing this time around. Ben is unproven?? undefeated as a starter is all I gotta say on that one. Ben has had alot of help along the way by a great surrounding cast but guess what folks...same cast this Sunday also. Both of these teams can handle the elements so weather isnt a factor, both teams are gonna wanna run 1st anyway. I agree with Sunday, Defense wins this game. The Stee's may be my team but this is from the head not the heart take the Stee's with the points...but wait till late line will move even more in their favor by kickoff.
N.E. 17/PITS 19 in an absolute thriller, GOTTA LOVE HOME DOGGIES IN THE POST SEASON
other game I waon't write so much about but Mike Vick and the Falcons will hang right in there with the Green Birds, Vick can't throw they say...neither will throw very well in Philly this w/e, cold, blowing snow...better running game = Falcons, as far as defense in this game I think it's close to a toss up....again take the dog with the points
ATL 24/PHL 27
GOOD LUCK FELLAS

I love the fact that everyone with whom I have talked loves the Patriots today! I am a diehard Steelers fan (yes, living in Cleveland as everyone already knows!), but my heart is not telling me that the play is on Pitt. My head is telling me that Pitt. +3 is the way to go. This is a new week! You can throw last week out the door! This line opened at NEP -2 b/c of public perception. Bill Belichick this and Bill Belichick that. Yeah, okay, whatever! The players play the game! What about Bill Cowher! This guy hasn't been around for this long for nothing!
Big Ben played horrible last week, but this Steeler "TEAM" was good enough to overcome that poor performance. Oh yeah, Roethlisberger led them on the winning drive in OT to win the game (let's not forget about that!).
Pittsburgh had the no. 1 ranked defense in the NFL this year and allowed the fewest points. (oh yeah, that's right, the Jets scored 3 lousy points on offense last week). This game will be won in the trenches! Who was better on both sides of the ball this year in this category? Of course, the Steelers! Sure, the Pats were solid in this area this year as well, but not as dominating as the Steelers! Pitt. - No. 1 Def. overall; No. 1 - against the run; No. 4 - against the pass; No. 2 - rushing offense! The Steelers will control the tempo of the game, just like they have all year, and there is nothing New England can do about it (except pray for lucky bounces; unfortunately for N.E., Pitt. let all the bad things out in one game last week)!
I hope all you N.E. backers have nice reload bonuses b/c you are going to need them tomorrow night around 10:00 P.M. The Pats should be wishing right now that they had this Steeler team last week b/c the so-called Patriot dynasty is over after today!
New England 17
Pittsburgh 20
P.S. Yes, I will be ranting and raving about my Steelers today after they stick it to the Patriots! I have to listen to all the shit from my buddies when their teams win, so I will be going crazy when my team moves on to the Bowl!
Good Luck to all with whatever you may do today!
Go BLACK and GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm taking the UNDER in both games.
Under 38.5 Philly-Atl
Under 35.5 Pats-Steel
also, going extreme on the points and weather, taking both games under 31.5 as a double for 50 to return 300.
I gotta say that I think all teams have very good defences, and as such going under is going to be a reasonable chance - throw in some blizzard and it becomes the only reasonable play.
also have a parlay ending on Pats/Philly double so cheering on the favs.
The under would be a major bonus...

Small play on U143 SBU/DU. Of the 40 conference games played this year, only 7 have gone over 143. Three of those were OT (1 2OT, 1 3OT) and two of the other four included GW. Both teams do give up some points though, but I'll hope the trend of U143 in the A-10 continues.

Here are some prop bets that look like better investment opportunities for me.
NFC:
1) Over 3 FG's (-105)
2) Akers over 7.5 pts (+105)
3) Vick over 8 attempts rushing (-120) Only way ATL can win!
4) Defensive or special teams TD (+180)
5) Westbrook 1st TD scored (+550)
AFC:
1) Over 3.5 FG's (+140)
2) Vinatieri over 7 pts (-105)
3) Ward scores a TD (+140)
4) Ward -15.5 over Givens in rcv yds (-115)
5) Dillon 1st TD (+500)
6) Total points between 29-35 (+350) Final score 16-13 in OT!
7) Will there be OT - YES (+650)
GLTA - should be great games!

Had a good day yesterday even though I went 0-2 on posted NCAA games and 1-0 on Bulls. Pick rode Wisc Milwaukee & Louisville from the chat room and also played Tulsa after line movement. Here are my bets for today:
1) Falcons (+6 -105) Falcons have good defense and running game which is what they need in this weather. Even though Falcon play indoors, they did beat Green Bay at Green Bay 2 years ago in the playoffs. Game will be won by team that can control the clock and run the ball, Falcons will keep it close and might even win sending the Philly fans home disappointed 4 years in a row.
2) Steelers (+3 -105) I believe that bettors are putting too much emphasis on last week games and line is set up good for Steelers backers. See this game being low scoring defensive battle with both teams running the ball and throwing short safe passes. Looking for a score of around 13-10 with Steelers pulling it out in the end.
3) Under 35 (-115) Pats/Steelers.
4) Washington St (+16.5) - Washington is good, but Washington St is not that bad and have not been blown out.
5) Spurs (-2 -105) Spurs have been hot lately going 6-2 ATS last 8.
Good luck everyone!! Should be fun watching football today!!

I was all over the Atlanta under (which I am playing) but my stronger play of the day has to focus on the Pats and Steelers. Ask yourself this..will Cowher come out blazing after Big Ben's performance last week. Do you take two "mudders" like Bettis and Staley and even Hayes and go to the air in this game? Will Billi..counter with Dillon and test the average Steelers seconday? Are both teams likely to settle for 3 and rely on their defense? I can't see many reasons to justify a shoot out. The first game went way over. The stakes are much higher this time and both teams have incredible Defenses this time of the football year. I don't think BIllicheck will give Ben time to throw the deep out.
I"m rollin STRONG on Pats under 36...good luck
MY NFL CARD:
Atlanta under 37 1/2
Atlanta -6
Pats under 36 STRONG
Pittsburgh+3...I just can't talk myself into going against the Steelers at home as a dog.
Take care all, my biggest bet of the day by far is the under in the Pats game. GOod luck and slam it.

What a great day! Just wanted to take a minute to congratulate all my neighbors in the Philly area. Nobody deserved seing their team make it to the Super Bowl more than you. Being a Broncos fan in Eagle country was never harder for me than it was today. Seeing everyone celebrate like crazy was great. You really are the best fans in the country and a couldn't be happier for all of you. Just do me one favor. Don't make a national disgrace of yourselves and burn down the city. Congrats to all Eagles fans!
