PC NFL
Lost my GOY thursday in college..congrats pimpin on a good call. I won't post again in college until bowl season where I traditionally do well.
NFL I went 2-0 on Thursday with Baltimore and Miami under so let's keep it rolling
Carolina @ Indy
I'm taking the under 47. It's a high number based on Carolina's 49-35 game against Detroit but there's a couple of things to keep in mind. 1.) Detroit has a great offense, Indy does not. 2.) Indy sees a real chance to get off the schnide this week and I think the defense will play well and contain Cam and Smith. 3.) Indy doesn't have the punch with Painter and will feed Addai, Brown, and Carter who are all running decently. This number is too high for a Panthers team that is up and down on the road.
PC 3*** on under 47
Battle of Ohio:
I'm taking the over 37. Cincy is 8-1-1 ATS on the over this year. In addition, AJ Green is back and that will limit All Pro Corner Joe Haden to cover either him or a resurgent Jerome Simpson leaving one of them open to connect with Dalton. Cleveland hasn't been scoring a lot lately but I see this game getting over 40 as Colt and company will have just enough of a run presence to get some scoring going. Peyton Hillis is a game time decision and if he plays, it will at least give Cleveland a better running game. After the Bengals have lost 2 in a row to Baltimore and Pittsburgh, there offense gets more of an opportunity to get going today. The weather is in the 40's so we shouldn't see snow all over the field. I think we get in the 40's on this one.
PC 2.5** on over 37
Buffalo @ NY Jets
I hate laying high numbers but I have to in this one. CJ Spiller starts for the NFL's 3rd ranked rusher, Fred jackson. The receiving corps is in shambles for Buffalo, Fitzie got benched last week for picks and being terrible. The Jets are pissed and at 5-5, must make a serious run to get into playoff contention. From a trend standpoint, the Jets have covered the last 4 in a row in this series and I think they make it 5 in a double digit laugher.
PC 2.5** on Jets -9
Chicago @ Oakland
I'm taking the bears on both ML and the points. Sure, the Raiders lead the AFC West, but who cares. My lowly chiefs beat this team 28-0 nothing at home in Palmer's first action this year. With that being said, Palmer has gotten better but this Bear's defense is better than the Chiefs who had 6 picks in that game. Caleb starts in place of Cutler and that's not such a bad thing. Remember the game against the Packers? He almost brought them back and he's not a greenhorn coming out for the first time. In addition, the Raiders run defense sucks and the combination of Barber and Forte is serious trouble for the Raiders. Oakland has Bush who has been running well, but there receiving corps is hurting with deep threat DHB out on injury. I have the Bears favored in this one and expect them to win outright.
PC 2.5** on Chicago +3 -110
PC 1* on Chicago ML +140
