Taking the day off from hoops and most football. Gonna go try to play 36 holes in this beautiful weather in N. Florida.
I'll be back tomorrow with my Big XII GOY in College Hoops. If the line isn't posted, I'll post it early New year's Day. Have a great one all.
Only on the over Bama Minny for me.
Have a good one.

Yesterday (NCAA-F) (1-1-0), YTD (1-1-0)
I think Ohio State surprised everyone with their BIG TEN dominance. Those boys can play D.
Today take BC as a pk.
North Carolina had the toughest schedule in the nation this year; however, they went a mere 1-5 against ranked opponents. That is the only reason this line is where it is. BC is getting their QB Paul Peterson back today (out for Syracuse game), so they will be able to score on the weak NC defense. It might be a battle early, but I like BC to win by at least 7 today.

Been doing OK in CBB, not so well in everything else. I know there's football all day today, but I've got a play in CBB:
Miss. St. (-14) - MSU been playing a lot better of late as Roberts is finally starting to get it going. They've averaged 87 over last 5. Va. Tech is a young team playing only its second game outside the Commonwealth this year (L by 10 at St. John's; also away from home: W17 at W&M, L4 at VMI). MSU (+10 rpg margin) will destroy VT (-5 rpg) on the boards (VT led in rpg by a 6'3 guard). Line reminds me of two weeks ago when VT +14 at home vs UNC, lost by 30+. I don't know if MSU wins by 30, but I would think at least 20.

I did find two in hoops I'm playing. Play em if you like em:
No time for write up, I'm hittin the course:
Big Xii Reg Play:
Zags -5 over the Tigers in Columbia.
!H is a good play too on Over.
NBA Total Play:
Under 176 Nets/Pacers.
Out of Conference Special: Utah State - 9 1/2 in the finals of the Gossner Classic!
YTD updated hoops records as of 12-30:
NBA Sides 27-14...Lost on Seattle
NBA totals: 21-14...
Mo Valley Reg Play: 4-1-1 ATS hit on Creighton
Mo Valley GOW: 2-2-1 ATS
BIg XII Reg Play: 4-2 ATS hit on Zags over OSU
Big XII GOW: 3-2 ATS lost on K State
Out of Conference Specials: 2-1 ATS
Take Care...Have the big writeup tomorrow or early New Year's Day.
I'm out.
Here's the bowl card I played..all for 2 units:
BC
UNM
T Tech
T Tech Over
UNI
My largest wager of the day is on the Zags to punk the Big XII twice in 3 days and rope Mizzou in Columbia. If they Can beat Okie State SU as a 10 point dog, they can go into the Antler Den and win by 5. Have a good one.

ATLANTA +10 (SPECIAL PLAY) (Don't be surprised to see the Hawks upset the Sonics tonight; Yes, you heard that right! The Hawks will keep this one close, and may win in it late; Seattle has finally cooled off from its awesome early season start, and now it's time for Seattle to be my bitch tonight; Hawks ML play is recommended as well)
DETROIT +2.5 (Let's try this again with the Pistons; they have finally opened as a home dog this year; great spot for the Pistons to end the Heat's 12 game winning streak; Detroit already beat Miami at home earlier this year, and has now come away with three straight wins after comeback win last night in Washington)
Yesterday: 2-3 (I surprisingly was on five public games, and what do you know, I lost)
Wins:
GOLDEN STATE
L.A. CLIPPERS
Losses:
DETROIT
CLEVELAND (big time public loser)
MINNESOTA (big time public loser)
Season Record: 82-72-4 (53.25%)
4-4 (SPECIAL PLAYS)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

s.w. mizz st. over ill st. - 1 1/2.

line going the wrong way. this will be a close game but s.w. mizz st. is the better of the two teams so the home court advantage can kiss my ass. gl all.

Indiana State leading scorer David Moss latest to come down with flu bug
By Todd Golden/Tribune-Star
December 30, 2004
If you think the worst thing that has afflicted Indiana State's men's basketball team is a losing bug, think again.
The Sycamores have lost four in a row, including three in the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic last week, but a flu bug that knocked starting point guard Tyson Schnitker out of action in Hawaii last week is still running rampant within ISU's roster.
The latest victim is guard David Moss. ISU's leading scorer did not practice Tuesday or Wednesday and is questionable for tonight's Missouri Valley Conference opener at Hulman Center against Drake.
"We don't know yet about David's status," ISU Coach Royce Waltman said. "David was Tyson's roommate on the Ball State trip and is out with the flu now."
Starting center Jerod Adler has also been nipped by the flu bug, but was practicing Wednesday.
"The debacle with the flu vaccine is going to cost us some games," Waltman lamented. "In the past we've given a team flu vaccine and never had these kinds of problems. But we've had at least three guys out with the flu in a short amount of time and I don't know if it's going to run through the whole team."
Waltman noted that Schnitker was healthy and should play his normal minutes.
The flu bug comes at a particularly poor time for ISU (5-6), which is trying to get back on track after its 0-3 performance in Hawaii dropped the Sycamores below .500. Drake favors a full-court press defense which drains energy in the best of times, but could be doubly ominous for the sickly Sycamores.
"I hate to go in against a pressing team without David," Waltman noted. "I hope he gets back."
Waltman noted that though he was disappointed with ISU's performance in Hawaii, there were positive things to build upon. Chief among them was the increased playing time for freshman Gabriel Moore and Mick Yelovich. Moore started in place of Schnitker, while Yelovich played significant minutes against the bigger teams ISU faced, most notably Clemson.
"There was enough benefit from the trip that we're taking the approach that we should just forget it," Waltman said. "Gabe got good experience and represented himself well. Mick got to play against some bigger lineups and had at least one good game."
Aside from a four-turnover effort against Clemson, Moore handled the ball capably in Hawaii, averaging 3.3 assists per game with just one turnover in the other two games. Yelovich was ISU's only efficient offensive weapon in the 83-57 loss to Clemson, scoring 15 points with 8 rebounds.
ISU struggled mightily in other facets in the islands. ISU shot 29.2 percent, gave up 18.3 points on turnovers per game and was outscored on second-chance baskets 32-15 over the course of the three games, which also included a four-point loss to USC, and a one-point loss against Long Beach State.
"We don't want to just dismiss the trip. We spent a lot of energy in the opening loss to Southern Cal (a 68-64 defeat) and we had a hard time coming back from that. We learned a lot about the team, and got some things exposed. We thought we should have at least come away with a win," Waltman said.
Drake (3-5, 0-1) is the only other team in the MVC with a losing mark. The Bulldogs are winless away from the Knapp Center, having lost their three road games by an average of 21 points. Drake also lost its MVC opener, a 75-53 loss to Wichita State on Dec. 8 in Des Moines.
The Bulldogs have had stability. It's starting five of Pete Eggers, Aliou Keita, Klayton Korver, Lonnie Randolph and Chaun Brooks has been intact all season. Guard Nick Grant just returned from an injury to solidify Drake's depth.
Drake has been vulnerable to the 3-point shot as its opponents are shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc.
"They give up a lot of points. They live and die with the press," Waltman said. "If it's effective, they might win. If it's not effective, some teams have gone through them and scored some points. They play different than anyone else in the league and it's not an easy first game."
ISU has not lost at Hulman Center this season, winning all five of its games there.
gl all with your wagers.

Adding O144 Richmond/Arizona. Coach Wainright said UR will be aggressive which means try to get up and down (as they successfully did against UAB). UR also shot lights out against Butler in opener (64% for game, lot's of jump shots, 5-9 on 3's) so they should be used to the McKale Center. Plus I would expect a faster-paced game and Arizona to focus less on the defensive end than Butler did (UR scored 69 that game). AU should get at least 80 at home, and I'm thinking UR should get around 70. Hoping for about 83-70.
MSU line down to -12. Figures since I got it at 14.
