DETROIT -5.5
L.A. LAKERS +7
Yesterday: 2-2
Wins:
NEW ORLEANS
HOUSTON
Losses:
WASHINGTON (this one hurts b/c the Wiz were winning almost the entire game and covering for about 46 mins.; that really sucks my ass; the final score was Miami's biggest lead of the game; yes, I am bitter about this one)
DETROIT
Season Record: 60-54-3 (52.63%)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Big XII GOW:
Tonight Ohio State and new head coach Thad Motta from Xavier are visiting Techster1's boy's the TTech Red Raiders. It's a very interesting game for a number of off court reasons. Ohio State is 5-1 with their only loss coming to the mighty Creighton Blue Jays in KC during a early season tourney. Here's the twist: Current head coach Bob Knight is a Buckeye Alum. He made hints during his time as a Hoosier head coach that he would like to finish his career at Ohio State. After the Indiana Debacle and 2'nd chance at T Tech, the OSU job became available. On Knight's weekly talk show, he again hinted at interest in Ohio STate. The school politely gave a cold shoulder and Knight then said he wasn't interested. Ohio State also has been banned from postseason play as a result of a recruiting violation. My point in all this; 1'st year coach Motta (from last year's excellent Xavier team) has a lot of work to do in his inaugural campaign. Bobby Knight wants this game badly. I've looked over both team's schedules so far and I would give the slight RPI nod to TTech, but not by much. Knight really wants to stick it to his alma mater tonight and show that his Red Raiders team can get it done against a Big X team. Ohio State's strengths are in it's guards and perimeter shooting. With the loss of Andre Emmit, the Red Raiders leading scorer for 2 straight years, Knight has turned to a better defense and a 3look offense instead of pounding Emmit. This game (as Sunday would say) is not for the feint of heart. But I'm banking on Knight to stick it to the AD and school he came from. If T Tech is serious about going to the dance, this is a game that they should win. Ohio STate doesn't have much to play for and I see them getting a reality check tonight.
PLAY ON Texas Tech -6 1/2 (current line at BetCris) as my Big XII GOW##4 (3-0 ats so far)
Will be back later possibly with an NBA game.

What's up guys... thank god this week is almost over... I'm absolutely brain dead at work, researching games is all I've got!!! Plus I've got to bring the old lady to a play tonight in the city, so I def. need to have $$$ riding on at least one game so I can check my cell phone for updates!!!!
Right now I'm looking at 2 games - haven't made any final calls yet. what do you guys think:
1. NCAAB - Baylor +16.5 @ Southern Methodist
2. NBA - Cavs/Pistons OVER 175
GLTA and I'll be back with info after lunch.

Does anyone have access to a moneyline on the Baylor game? I think they could win this one strait up. If it's over 450 I might throw a little coin on it.

Thanks for the support, Flaq!
I read the write-up on Baylor's loss to Texas A&M CC from last Satruday.
Their leading scorer Aaron Bruce (Ques. tonight) at 17+ ppg rolled his ankle on a break-away in the first half and played very little in the second half. But the fact that he DID come back to play for a few min leads me to believe that the ankle sprain wasn't serious... with over 4 days rest he should be able to go at game time.
I'm calling this game in now, because if they announce that he's definite for the game, the line will start to shoot down.

Haha,
Just called in a 2 team parlay early b/c I think lines will change by dinner time!!!
Play 1: BAYLOR +17
I read around as much as I could find and I have nothing solid but I'm banking on A. Bruce playing tonight for Baylor. If this is true, when it becomes known fact I think the Baylor line will slide towards +14 or maybe even lower...
Play 2: Cavs/Detroit OVER 175.5
Cleveland has been scoring about 97 points over their last 10 games. I know the trends in Detroit favor the Under and both teams don't give up many points on defense, but because of the divisional rivalry here I just have a feeling LeBron & Hamilton are going to be draining buckets.

tonight is a ssmall card and a tricky one at that but i feel like i have a solid play but not playnig too big
DAILY BEST BET #4
CLEVELAND+5
pistons won in NY last night and needed a huge come back to do so
cavs walked through tblazers at home and rested starters for most of 2nd half(BIG ADVANTAGE) pistons have not had the advantage at home that they should and i dont see it changing tonight vs a good cavs team. take the points and hope detroit doesnt wake up and play like they have last year!
MEDIUM PLAY TONIGHT
KINGS-7
kings have owned lakers lately and especially at home winning by double digits why should it change tonight?

My best bet for today is:
Clev (+5.5) - Clev is 8-2 ATS last 10 against the Pistons. Clev is 4-2 ATS on zero days rest and Det is 1-4 ATS on zero days rest. Detroit had to play all out yesterday against the knicks while Cavs had a cake walk against Portland. Also, Detroit is 7-14 ATS for the year.
Good luck everyone!!
