PC Hoops

Have had a good start to the season. I'll throw two out here at GP:

Dallas +8 at the Lakers. The Mavs have tons of talent and didn't show up in their home opener against Washington losing outright as an 8 point favorite. On the other side of the coin, the Lakers didn't impress me against the Clippers and failed to cover their game as a 10ish favorite. Dallas plays the West tough and I think they can hang with the Lakers tonight. Dirk and Shawn are a nice inside presence and Kidd and Terry are veterans at the point. In what I think is the marquee game of the night, I like Dallas to cover the 8.

Orlando @ New Jersey

I like the under in this game. Orlando worked Philly at home and I hit that play as an over as I thought both teams would score in droves. The Nets don't have a lot of scoring options but they can play defense. Usually in the NBA, most games go over to start the season but I think Vegas is baiting the public with a total of under 200 after seeing the Magic and sixers soar over 210 in their openers. This game should be a slower tempo and the Nets will try to throttle the 3 point shooting of Orlando. In addition, with Vinsanity returning to New Jersey, he and the Magic will be looking to make a statement. If this game is a blow out, we will have a low scoring 4'th quarter and I'm banking on this to get under the number.

PC 2** on Nets/Magic under 198.
