NBA Picks for Tursday May 28

Nice call on the Lakers JD - I couldn;t pull the trigger and Denver just couldn't finish that one off. It stayed under the number easily though. I decided to let my Denver series play ride - let's hope they can hang on in Denver and pull off a miracle in Game 7. Doubful though.

On to Thursday's plays - I m going to stic with what's been working. Cleveland will probably win but I think it will be close.

Orlando +7.5

Over 190

23-17-1 Playoff record

  1. Tito, I let my Denver series play ride as well, even though I had the Lakers winning Game 5. I don't like to get crazy trying to figure ways to hedge out until I get to Game 7 because it always ends up biting me in the ass. I believe Denver will take Game 6, but the Lakers will most likely take this series in 7.

PC, I never said Orlando was lucky. They are just hitting more clutch shots and more shots in general. They are getting it done, which is what its all about. As for Mike Brown, I have been saying that he stinks for awhile now. I can't hate on the front office, though, because they have been making moves and tweaking this team over the past few years. It's time to make more now. I have been up in the air about whether LeBron will leave, but he is on top of the world here in Cleveland. And his best shot to win it all right now is here. He grew up here. His family is here. He is an icon here. He has all the money he could ever have. Why he would go to New York is beyond me. So he can be judged more and criticized. Sounds like a great plan. If he goes, then screw him.

  2. I was going to stay away from this game completely, but I decided to dig deeper and scour over more numbers. I analyzed this series a bit more and decided that some play was worth it. Call it a copout, but I'm laying the wood on the moneyline. Playoff moneylines are always worth it in my eyes, even if you have to lay the wood. They have produced a lot of positive units for me this year as well as past years. I debated on the line, but just did not want to chance it because I have the Cavs winning this one by 10. (I do like the fact that I see 67% on the Magic, but I can't really blame them for backing the Magic.) I don't want to get beat by a back door cover. Unfortunately for my boys, I believe it's over in 6.

    ML Play:

    CLEVELAND -400

    Opinion:

    CLEVELAND -7.5

    Playoff Record: 21-23

    3* (Punchouts) 1-4

    2* 13-8

    1* 7-11

    ML Plays: 22-5 (+18.43 units)

    Series Plays: 6-0 (+6.4 units)

    Opinions: 13-19-1

  3. PC, one more thing: Congrats on the Magic! You got it right and had the value! I always have to applaud that cause I remember when I made a killing off the Pistons in the NBA Finals when they beat the Lakers in 2004.
