NBA Picks for Sat May 23rd

Almost snuck away with the under last night -- What an amazing shot to push it over. These games have been great to watch.

On to Saturday:

This will be a popular play but Im still going to back it:

Denver -3.5

Denver 1H -2

Denver has not lost at home for a long time - I think it goes back to early March and the Lakers have been mediocre at best away from Staples. Denver's bench plays a different game at home and I think they roll.

17-15-1 playoff record (correction from last night's post with Denver/LAL 1h over)

Absolutely amazing what we witnessed last night (from a blown 23 point lead to King James' three at the buzzer). Many of you couldn't understand how huge and exciting that shot was for Cleveland. Moments like that just don't happen for Cleveland fans.......until now! That's the kind of shot that could vault you to a title. Are there still concerns for the Cavs? Of course. I'm not going to dwell on it here, but Mike Brown needs to get his head out of his ass and coach. Make adjustments and be prepared for the other team's adjustments. You can't keep blowing huge leads and expect to win a series. But as for Stan Van Gundy, you SUCK! I am tired of him blaming himself for losing games. How about this, Stan? Why don't you just go away and don't come back? There is a reason why Pat Riley took over for you, and then ultimately won the title with the Heat.

    Opinion:

    DENVER -3.5

(I think we could see another barn burner here, so I will stay away from this one; of course, I would love to see the Nuggets win) (Lakers did get boned the other night when the refs missed an obvious jump ball violation by J.R. Smith that might have cost them the game; more ref blunders)

Jdelt, you are such a HOMER! Cleveland is a one man show! Congrats, you should be down 2-0 and Van Gundy is an amazing coach. he put Hedo on LebRon, ridicolous. happy your boys won, but you were a desperation 3 pointer away from quitting! Cleveland is in huge trouble, but one miracle shot later and your vaulting them to the title. Your boy Brown is one of the WORST NBA coach's I've seen in the playoffs. But congrats, that series was almost over and what a great game.

I'm posting my NBA here tonight,

    NBA:

    Lakers @ Nugs

    8:30 PM EST

    Line: Denver -3 1/2

I have to disagree with my partners from HKC on tonight's game. They have a solid write up and it's the reason I backed my play down to 2**. But I like the Nuggets tonight to cover easily against the Lakers. In the first 2 games, the Lakers were lucky to win Game 1, and barely lost Game 2. It's interesting to note that Denver had one of the best home records in the NBA. Let's start with some trends:

**Denver is an incredible 11-0 ATS in the last 11 games.

**Denver is 55-35-3 ATS on the year

**Denver is 33-8 SU this year at home.

**The pub is high on the lakers at 64%.

**The Favorite is 0-4 ATS in the NBA conference finals this year.

I can't see why to play on the Lakers. They will have to run and gun against a fired up Nugs team playing at home and having come off a split in Los Angeles. Chauncey is playing out of his mind and I really do expect a double digit win for the Nugs. The Lakers lost by 11 their last time at Denver but have had some success in the Pepsi Center. With such an important game going down, I think your going to see Denver come out gunning.

    2** on Denver -3 1/2
