Banged the Nats today, got one on BPO..here's my GP play:
Roll with me on under 10 1/2 in Seattle/Texas. I know the Hammer is back, but I'm tellin ya, the Rangers pitching is better and the sticks are in a funk. Seattle can't score at prom, much less a baseball game. Wash has been decent, but I'm rollin under.
2** on under 10 1/2 in the M's/Rangers tilt
NBA:
I'll take that 10 and run with the Mavs. They are still pissed about Game 4 and I know Cuban offered a big bonus if they get to game 7...should not be a fold up the tents game and Denver knows this. Expect Dallas to give a good effort.
1* on Dallas +10 in the NBA

I really like the Toronto Blue Jays in this game vs the Chicago White Sox...the CWS have lost 8 of their L10 games overall while the Jays are still in first and 12-6 @ home so far this year...B.Cecil has "nasty" stuff and I expect him to have a great day against these Sox hitters...the Sox hitters are really struggling at the plate as well hitting just under .220 over their L10 games...J.Danks has struggled in his last few starts as well and the Jays hitters are hitting a lofty .307 vs LHP this year...White Sox are 1-6 in their last 7 road games...1-6 in Danks' last 7 starts as an underdog of +110 to +150...0-5 in Danks' last 5 Friday starts...2-10 in the last 12 meetings...0-6 in the last 6 meetings in Toronto...the Blue Jays are 12-3 in their last 15 games following a loss...Toronto is a LOCK

I'll back the Phillies at a bargain price tonight. Lannan has been solid this season for the Nats, but the Phillies have had his number. He is 0-4 when starting against Philly with an ERA of 6.23 and a WHIP of 1.808. Plus, the Phillies stroke left handed starting pitching better than just about every team in the league. They are 12-3 in their last 15 games vs. a left-handed starter. The Phillies have been strong on the road at 8-4 on the season and I love them in this bounce back spot after back-to-back losses where the bats did not come around. In fact, Philly is 18-4 against the money line after scoring 3 runs or less 2 straight games over the last 2 seasons. The Phillies send Blanton to the hill tonight and they bare 10-3 in his last 13 starts, 5-0 in his last 5 starts during game 1 of a series, and 6-0 in his last 6 starts following a team loss in their previous game. The Nationals are just 3-13 in Lannan's last 16 starts vs. the National League East. Take the Phillies tonight.

Matchup: Cleveland at Tampa Bay
Time: 7:35 PM EDT (Fri)
Listed pitchers must go: (R) REYES, A vs. (L) KAZMIR, S
Play: Over (9.5 -125)

Scott Kazmir has turned into an Over machine of late for the Rays. The talented lefty is way off form, but his teammates are doing a good job of supporting him. The problem for Kazmir is his slider. He can't locate it right now and hitters are sitting on the fastball. As a result, Kazmir's K rate is off and he's getting hit pretty hard. I would think that should continue tonight against a tough Cleveland offense. The Indians are sending Anthony Reyes, who is eminently hittable most of the time, and the shaky Cleveland bullpen plays into this one as well. I don't know if we'll see 18 runs as these teams combined for on Thursday, but I certainly believe the Tribe and the Rays will score enough to cash a ticket on the Over tonight.

The first game after playing a Boston series seems to take a lot of team. The Angles extra inning battle yesterday brings them to Texas probably a little tired for tonight's game against one of the more underrated pitchers in the game in Kevin Millwood. While Texas is sitting at home waiting for LAA to arrive.
This is quite the early season divisional battle here in this one. This series means a lot more to Texas then LAA. Texas has slowly become one of the better teams in baseball as they average .7 runs per game more then their opponents and are starting to finally get the pitching that they have so desperately lacked in the past decade or more.
We have bet against Angels pitcher Saunders quite a bit so far this year as he isn't the type pitcher we like very much. We have always felt the market over rates him quite a bit. He is more of a finesse type who throws strikes and hopes his defense can make some plays. This may be a good strategy against most teams but probably not against the hard hitting Rangers.
The nice extra we have going for us here is Texas has absolutely crushed lefthand pitching thus far on the year. they have hit over .300 against LH starters on the year. Combined all this with the fact they are very comfortable hitting in their own park, also hitting over .300 there. This has given them quite the home field advantage.
We will take the Rangers in this one.

La Liga:
We're rollin the over in Barcelona. yes, they clinched the LA LIGA title for the first time in 4 years when Madrid lost on Saturday, but they have two milestones they want very badly.
1.) Most points in a season.
2.) Most goals in a season.
Both of these are held by arch rival Real Madrid.
Eto, Henry, and Messi are considered the best 3some in futbol. This game is nothing in standings, but everything to the record books.

MLB Live Doggie:
I'll back John Garland and the Dbacks early this morning. I hate Derek Lowe and I know that garland can hang with anyone when he's in the mood. Atlanta giving this much juice is ridiculous. Garland has a 1.35 ERA on the road this year and Lowe is a little over 4.00 at home. We saw Zona thump Atlanta last night 12-0. I just think this line is way off.
Let's roll on Zona +175 ML today
1*
MLB:
Minny at the Yanks
I'm playing the under. Minny is 9-3 ATS on the under on the road this year and I think Slowey can pitch well in big games. The yanks offense is really picking up with A Rod starting to find his groove. I'm always scared of those big bats for the Yanks and the fact that Morneau is absolutely killing home runs right now, but AJ is due for a big game and I think we see it today in a day game in the new park. I'll take a stab at the under and hope the backends of the pen don't give up the runs. I have confidence in the starters, it's the relievers I'm worried about. But if we get to MO, he should rebound for us. Nathan already blew a save this week and I can't remember the last time he had back to back poor outtings.

( I got most of my loot today on the NBA game 7's on BPOsportscorp.com) This MLB action and La Liga are solid plays, but I'm hammering the game 7's.
