  2. Minnesota +8

Michigan State is struggling at home and are not healthy. Raymar Morgan is out with walking Pneumonia and my Spartans are not the same team without him. Also, Goran Suton hyperextended his knee in practice on Monday. He is our main rebounder and inside threat to score.

The Spartans have lost back to back home games for the first time since 1997-98 season. If they lose three in a row, it would be the first time since 96-97. The Spartans have won nine of the last 10 and 14 of the last 17 meetings. Tom Izzo has a 17-7 all-time record against the Golden Gophers. Tubby Smith has faced Michigan State nine times, including six games when he was at Kentucky. The Spartans are 7-2 against Smith overall, including victories in the 1999 and 2005 Elite Eights.

I see this game going one of two ways- a tight game with the Spartans pulling it out in the end or a Michigan State blowout. I think the former will be the case. Tubby has his team playing well (18-3) overall record and the Spartans are going to have to rely on some youngsters more in clutch time. This should come down to the last couple minutes in a tight one!

    MSU's ATS: 9-9; (17-4 straight up)

Minn. ATS: 9-6-1 (18-3 straight up)

    GL if you follow!

  8. Wanted to post these for my buddy Rak39 who wanted some Valley feedback, these games are my opinions, I posted on BPO the one I bet, but here's my take on the valley card tonight:

    Creighton @ Drake:

Creighton's playing for an NCAA bid and MO Valley title, Drake is playing for the NIT. Teams figured out how to shut down Drake's high flying all conference scorer and it's showed. They simply don't have other playmakers against good defensive teams. One of the problems I have with Creighton is that no player averages more than 26 minutes a game and they go 11 deep. Is this good? I don't think so if your non starters are just roster filler. Creighton has a good team and they can pose some serious problems if they get in the dance. This game is also revenge oriented as Drake killed Creighton in Omaha. Here's the telling stat..Creighton is not a good road team and they piss away games they should win. One only need to watch the Nebraska debacle to see what I'm talking about. It makes no sense but my Valley hunch is that Drake wins a tight one at home or covers the 2

    Drake +2

    Evansville @ Mo State:

Evansville has had a nice year against nobody's and they are starting to fatigue with a short bench. Mo State is clearly in rebuilding mode but getting more competitive. The home team has won SU and covered the last 4 years with Mo State winning by an average of 26 points in the last 3 years. Line seems funny with the record, but I think the linesmakers are sharp and know Mo State will win this one going away.

    Mo State -2 to 2 1/2ish

    Illinois State @ SIU

( I got the total as my one Valley play on BPO Sports)

    What a game. 18-4 Redbirds @ 10-12 SIU.

I'm advocating you roll on the Salukis. Illinios State hasn't won SU on the road in their last 4. That's right, they are 14-0 at home and 0-4 in their last 4 on the road for a total of 18-4. Even with Mullens back, the Saluki's are not the dominant team we expect every year in the Valley. I'll say lay on SIU at pick em as I can't see the Redbirds righting their road woes in such a hostile environment against a team that will lock you down.

    SIU Pick em

On a side note, all 3 are the home teams and that's just a coincidence. I also like under 121 in the CU/NU game late night if you crave late night action. (I got if for 2 units)

GL tonight..only have action on the CU game, best bet out of these is Mo state.

Have a great night...there you go Rak...

  9. Unbelievable- I go against my Spartans one time and they end up blowing out Minnesota!! I said it would be tight or a blowout- obviously chose the wrong way!
