NBA Picks for Sun. Jan. 18
Man did the Nets stink yesterday and props to Lawrence Frank for benching his stars in the second half. And those damn Magic got me again. Astro, those odds sound good on the Magic but I'm not biting because the Cavs are winning the title. I was very confident that the Cavs would be a top contender before the season started and I have only gained more confidence as the season has gone on. I believe they are the best team. They bring it almost every night (on both ends of the court) with a few stinkers in there (as any team will have over a long season). King James is on a mission and he will not be stopped this year (MVP and championship in the same season).
OKLAHOMA CITY +1.5 (PUNCHOUT) (my first PO on the Thunder and why it's only my first I'm not sure, because this team is money; this one is a no brainer IMO; the pub. continues to hammer against this team ; and why is that?, because the pub. is not very bright; we have Miami playing its 7th road game in 12 nights, including back-to-back road games in which they are 1-1-1 ATS and 1-2 SU; the Heat are 1-3-1 ATS as a road fav. this year; they will be tired and will wear down in the fourth quarter; as for the Thunder, they have only gone 19-5 ATS in their last 24, including 5 straight overall covers and 9 straight covers at home; they have won 5 of 9 SU after a 3-29 record to start the season; the Thunder are on their first winning streak this season with an emphatic win over Utah and impressive win over Detroit; they are 5-0 ATS playing for revenge against Eastern Conference teams and 12-0 ATS against teams over .500 since the start of December; I have not seen numbers like this for a long time, especially with a bad team; I see no reason why the Thunder will lose this game)
