Well I found this post in another forum and would have to say that this guy hit this one on the head imo. Tell me what you guys all think?
There is one glaring advantage in this game for BYU. It is not when their high octane spread offense is on the field. Although, the zone schemes worked by TCU's defense does not matchup favorably at all in that regard. I think BYU's defense is better than TCU's. Anyone can stop the run if they commit to putting 8 or 9 in the box and playing without a safety the way TCU does. This will make for a long night for TCU's secondary, but back to my original point. TCU cannot and will not be able to move the ball effectively. While everyone talks about TCU's defense, it is BYU who actually allows 10.2 points per game, good for 2nd in the NCAA. The bottom line is BYU will score points on offense as they always do, and the vaunted rush D of TCU will get swing passes and screens and beaten to death. I actually foresee TCU having to drop back more men into zone coverage and BYU will go for over 100 yards on the ground. BYU QB Max Hall hasn't been sacked this year. Not once. I am sure there will be a couple of no gainers for BYU but they will gladly exchane a play like that to set up a long TD throw and catch to their talented receivers, a couple of whom are coming back from injuries tonight. So we can expect a 28-17 score in favor of the Cougars.
