An interesting trend

What's up fellas$$$$ I just came across this and thought you all might like to know this. Feel free to check my numbers.

Teams that have won in the NFL this year have covered the spread 52 out of 60 times (87%). Here is the weekly breakdown.

Week 1: Winners were 14-2 ATS

Week 2: Winners were 14-2 ATS

Week 3: Winners were 11-2-1 ATS

Week 4: Winners were 13-0-1 ATS

Total: 50-6-2

This means that the lines have been irrelavent the first 4 weeks, just pick the winners.

It also means don't bet a dog unless you think they can win outright.

I'll continue to track this every week so we can see if it holds up.

Good luck all!!!

Week 2: Winners were 14-2 ATS

    Intersting:

Denver has been involved in both pushes and one of the losses ATS by a winner. They also have lost outright as a small favorite. This seems to be the one team the oddsmakers have nailed.

This means that the lines have been irrelavent the first 5 weeks, just pick the winners.

It also means don't bet a dog unless you think they can win outright.

I'll continue to track this every week so we can see if it holds up.

  5. What's up fellas$$$$ Sorry I've been away for a few weeks. I was busy preparing and planning for my wedding. Now that I got hitched last Saturday I'm back to resume my post as a degenerate gambler. But enough about me, here is an update of this trend.

Teams that have won in the NFL this year have covered the spread 126 out of 144 times (87.5%). Here is the weekly breakdown.

Week 1: Winners were 14-2 ATS

Week 2: Winners were 14-2 ATS

Week 3: Winners were 11-2-1 ATS

Week 4: Winners were 13-0-1 ATS

Week 5: Winners were 12-2 ATS

Week 6: Winners were 12-2 ATS

Week 7: Winners were 12-2 ATS

Week 8: Winners were 12-2 ATS

Week 9: Winners were 13-1 ATS

Week 10: Winners were 13-1 ATS

    Total: 126-16-2

    Week 9 Breakdown:

    Outright wins by dogs: 9

    Favorites win and cover: 4

Favorites win and not cover : 1 (IND)

    Week 10 Breakdown:

    Outright wins by dogs: 6

    Favorites win and cover: 7

Favorites win and not cover : 1 (GB)

Interesting that both times in the last two weeks that a team won and didn't cover was against Minnesota.

This means that the lines have been irrelavent the first 10 weeks, just pick the winners.

It also means don't bet a dog unless you think they can win outright.

I'll continue to track this every week so we can see if it holds up.

    Good luck all!!!
