FYI... Here's an article regarding the Champions League final in Moscow. Stupid commies have artificial turf and UEFA told them to put natural grass down. This game looks like it's going to be Sloppy as hell! This looks to play to the Under, but you never know with a sloppy field... balls skip much faster off the ground on shots on goal, defenders slip, etc.
With that being said, I see this being a battle with the possibility of a red card or two being issued. This is going to be an ugly game- maybe 1-0 or even a 0-0 tie and overtime. Look for Drogba or Ronaldo to win it for there respective team.
Here's what I read: While Chelsea is confident Cole will be fit to play in such a prestigious game, there are fears that the playing surface may not hold up.
The artificial surface at the stadium has been replaced by natural turf on UEFA's instructions. But the first grass surface was so bumpy it was replaced and English groundsman Matthew Frost, called in to create a surface just for this game, had only 15 days to do it.
The result was a surface several different shades of green and light brown with the joins between the different strips of turf clearly visible.
There are fears that the surface will start to break up as soon as the players take the field. When local children carried out a rehearsal on the field less than seven hours ahead of the 1845 GMT (2045 GMT) kickoff, a heavy shower made the conditions even worse.
I like Chelsea here for two reasons- Drogba and they are Russian owned. Russian owned! Do you really think the Russian owner is gonna let his team lose in Moscow??? I see a red card or a penalty kick on a controversial call that will give the game to Chelsea. Good luck if you ride!
