Behindatthebar out of Preakness
Per trainer Todd Pletcher.
Behindatthebar was scratched on Friday from Saturday's 133rd Preakness
Stakes at Pimlico Race Course because of a bruise in his left front foot.

I know next to nothing about horse racing. That said, there is no way I'm not playing a horse named Macho, esp when it is also #1. This is destiny. I also like that some of you horse guys are taking a look.
I'm also taking a shot with Yankee Bravo. I see trooper is looking at him and the guy in the Sun Herald (currently on vacation in the Gulf) likes him to finish in the money.
So there it is. After some serious research, trifecta box of 1-4-7.

Ok boys.. here is my full card for Pimlico Today...Sorry for the late post.
The Preakness is the second leg in American thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown and almost always attracts the Kentucky Derby winner, some of the other horses that ran in the Derby, and often a few horses that did not start in the Derby. The Preakness is 1 3/16 miles or about 9 furlongs, compared to the Kentucky Derby, which is approximately 10 furlongs. It is followed by the third leg, the Belmont Stakes, which is 12 furlongs.
Selections (* denotes best bet)
Race 1 - #6 Don'ttrythisathome 2/1 *
Win - $6.20 $4.40 $3.20
Race 2 - #14 We're Sailing 9/2 *
Scratch
Race 3 - #4 Starforaday 4/1 *
Win - $8.20 $3.60 $2.40
Race 4 - #1 Rooteen Hero 6/1
Place - $3.60 $2.60
Race 5 - #1 Tight Storm 4/1
*Note: Both must run (1 & 1A)
SCRATCH
Race 6 - #4 Lady Digby 8/1
Place - $5.00 $2.80
Race 7 - #2 M J's Enchanteur 6/1
#5 Da'Tara 6/1
*Note: Playing both
SCRATCH
Place - $3.20 $2.60
Race 8 - #1 Nacascolo 8/1
OTM
Race 9 - #3 Silver Edition 5/1
Place - $4.20 $3.00
Race 10 - #2 Distorted Reality 4/1
Ran 4th
Race 11 - #4 Bear Now 5/1
Preakness ~ Race 12 - #10 Riley Tucker 30/1 to Show
RECORD (thru Race 10: 2 WINS, 4 PLACES, 2 OTM)
My take: I really wanted to bet on Behindatthebar, but since a hoof injury caused him to withdraw, im going with the next best value position here:
Riley Tucker finished second and third in two stakes races at Keeneland, the latter being the Coolmore Lexington, where he chased Behindatthebar to the wire.
As in most of these BIG races, I always tend to favor a horse that will get out early and be clear of a large field - and yes, 12 is still a large enough field to warrant this decision. Love the 10 position as well. With Stevil and Giant Moon on both sides (also 30/1 ML's) our boy should have no problem out of the gate. That said this horse has some stalk in him too, and should be able to hang in the mix for a show finish. At 30/1 I am just playing veryyy small on the W/P and LARGE on the Show Bet.
Lastly, gotta love Prado in the seat. Lets roll!

7-1 Cashed quite well $400 EX - ($7,320)
7-1-6 just missed ($200 TRI) which would
have been HUGE (Maybe 25K or so).
Who said you couldn't make $$$ on this race.
