Let's talk the draft

Football is NOT right around the corner but let's talk about your team and the draft. For supposedly being a boring draft low on talent, a lot of teams are crowing like they came out ahead.

My thoughts on the Chiefs:

1.) Loved the picks on Dorsey and Albert...two future starters and solid players.

2.) The Chief's best pick, Flowers, was a CB high in the first round on many boards. He slipped because of a 40 time, he's going to be the best corner KC has had in a long time.

3.)The sleepers from Gardner Webb and Grand Valley State are incredible specimens. If they are intelligent, we might just have had our best draft ever.

4.) Dwayne Bowe's help won't come this year, but the Mizzou receiver we drafted has a learning disability that if overcome, will give us 2 starters that are 6'2" or bigger, run under 4.5 40's and weigh over 210.

My biggest problem with the Chiefs draft was not addressing QB:

We have Brody Croyle...

umm...

and....

umm...

maybe the Benched 3 times Damon Huard.

and..

umm...

WE NEED A FRICKEN QB...why didn't they take Brohm after Flowers?

Overall though, as a Chiefs fan, we couldn't have asked for a better draft. Will be a rough year, but around week 7, start taking the under in Chiefs games at home to the bank

4 months, 13 days, and 11 something hours to opening Thursday night Kick.

When's your fantasy draft?

  1. KC in my opinion had one of if not the best drafts of all team. I do agree though they needed to address their weakness at the QB position.

For the first time in year I am actually please with the draft by my Steelers. This RB from Illinois could work out real nice for us in what is quickly turning into a 2 back league also I have loved Sweed form Texas for a while now and am real happy we have him in the Black and Gold!! Now for Dennis Dixon..well without the injury he may have won the Heisman. I see us turning this kid into another in the long line of "slash" players. I hope he can produce at this level but am not sold yet.
