Akron @ Virginia game
Afternoon gentlemen. I just replied to a PM from Teeks about the Akron**Virginia game. Thought I would share my take on the game.

That is a Good Question dude ! Arghhh. I havent seen a 1st half line yet, but you very well could be on to something there. Virginia has had NO competetion as of yet and the only time Temple and NC scored any points was when the game was out of control.
I will tell you this, Virginia is awfully fast and they have the best LB's in the country. You did know they use the Pro defense, 3-4 right ? That's Al Groh for ya !
Virginia won this game last year 48-29. They were a 24 point fav and they were the 5th youngest team in the country. Different story this time my friend. Defense is lightning quick and there QB is hitting 79% of his passes and has the ability to take off at ANYTIME and if he gets a seam, he's GONE !! Virginia is deep as well, so that is how I am looking at this game ! They will use 4 RB's, 7 WR's and up to 9 Offensive lineman !!
Defense isnt as deep as the offense, especially at the corners, which is where Akron could get there late points, BUTTTTTT
If it's bad weather, which it will be, Akron probably wont be able to throw the ball, which is there strength !! Virginia can run or pass, so the weather wont effect them as much as Akron.
I am playing Virginia - 31. I will buy the hook. If the weather is shitty at game time and threw the game, I will go on a limb and say Akron Will Not score. If this game had no weather issues, I would lay the lumber on the Cavs, but I cant afford late Turnovers by backups to allow Akron backdoor cover this pointspread !!
I see a 49-10 Final Score. Before this line came out, I figured Uva would be a 37,38 point fav. 31 is like a bargain. Weather might have something to say about it now, with all the slipping and sliding.
I will lay 3 units on the Cavs.

UVA first half scores:
@ Temple, 30-0 (final 44-14)
v. UNC, 35-10 (56-24)
v. Akron, 34-0 (51-0)
Granted, they haven't played anyone, but average score of 33-3 at the half is nice. Syracuse coming in on Saturday, line opens at 23.5. Orange on the grass, a team sh*tbeat 51-0 at Purdue.......may be something to check out for 1H and game.

no kidding. Gonna take a strong look at the first half (I guess less than 2TDs?) and game at -23.5.
UVA has a bye week after Syracuse game.
I like what I'm reading in the paper. Players are saying they understand some people are skeptical about their #12 ranking, they're just waiting to prove it.

yeah it was Akron... But have you seen the Cuse??? They struggled against Buff U, then against Cincy... LOL And were spanked by the Boilermakers... I see something similar happening.

3 things better happen for Syracuse to cover this point spread.
1) They better find their FASTEST pair of running shoes they have, b/c there fucking tongues will be hanging out by halftime.
2) They better put a Bug in the UVA's coaches headset. They need to know the play before it happens and I'm still not sure they can do any fucking thing about it ! UVA is HUGE up front and DEEP !!
3) On their flight from Syracuse, they need to ask the Captain to drop the movie video screens so they can watch some last minute films before they arrive in Charlottesville !! They also need to ask that MOFO to stay in Charlottesville just in case the CUSE is ready to JET at halftime !!
Akron just brought a QB that is the holder of 49 School Records and that bitch got MURDERED all day !! Syracuse QB's ( dont matter which one they put in ) will not have time to think boys.
Virginia will use there 4 RB's 7 WR's and 3 TE's to a suspect Syracuse D !
Let's before real here, Virginia has played Temple, North Carolina and Akron, not the toughest schedule, but dont think for a minute that they couldnt have put up 70 in all 3 of those games and that is true !!!
QB Hagans hitting 74% of his passes and Lundy, Pearman, Johnson, Isiah can run all day long !!
This game will get UGLY boys and it will get UGLY Quick !!! Al Groh said the toughest job he's had so far is getting his team in a dog fight. Beleive me, that time is coming Virginia, but not this week.
I see a 45-13 Final Score in this game and yes the starters start to get pulled at Halftime !!!!

Just one more note, 'Cuse switching to soph QB who will be making first career start. FRESH MEAT! I guess they threw him in at home vs Cincy and he did alright (10-16, 156 yards).
Line up to 24'/25.
