The new Yankee Stadium may be cursed!
A devilish Boston fan working on a concrete crew at the $1.3 billion stadium covertly buried a Red Sox T-shirt under what will become the visiting team's locker room to jinx the Yanks, two construction workers told The Post yesterday.

"In August, a Red Sox T-shirt was poured in a slab in the visitor's clubhouse. It's the curse of the Yankees," one worker said. "Nobody knows about it. It's in the floors, it's buried."
The workers say they now fear that they unwittingly helped hex their beloved Bronx Bombers.
"I don't want to be responsible for sinking the franchise," said a second worker, who witnessed the sabotage. "I respect the stadium."
The Post has withheld their identities because they are not authorized to speak to media.
This latest hex is above and beyond any typical ritual - like wearing a lucky shirt or hat - that fans typically do to boost their luck.
"It sounds a little unprecedented to me," said Tim Wiles, director of research at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown.
"I guess if the Yankees go 86 years in the new ballpark without a win we'll know if we are on to something," he said, referring to Boston's previous infamous losing streak after they sold Babe Ruth.
"If I was a Yankees fan, that is my house. I don't want a Red Sox under my house," he added.
Chris Wertz, co-owner of the Red Sox bar Professor Thom's in the East Village, laughed at the ingenuity of the worker.
"I won't be surprised in the least bit to see that visiting locker room torn up and relaid right away," he said. "This what makes the game special for baseball fans. It's not a mean thing, but something they will take seriously."
Red Sox fans, he said, will see the buried garment as a good-luck charm, especially after years of seeing the retired numbers of four legendary players displayed in Fenway Park.
It has long displayed "9" for Ted Williams, "4" for Joe Cronin, "1" for Bobby Doerr and "8" for Carl Yastrzemski - which comes out to 9-4-18, the day before the World Series that resulted in the last Red Sox championship until 2004.
Baseball historians said these kinds of superstitions are not something to be scoffed at.

MAYBE THE RED SOX SHOULD WORK ON CATCHING THE ROYALS, THE BEST TEAM IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE (WELL STATISTICALLY AT LEAST,) instead of yapping about some phantom shirt an illegal had to throw in the cement to keep his job.

I paid off the 07 bet...can't help that his bowl pool wasn't where it needed to be.
ROYALS should go 162-0 but had a few hiccups so far. I'll settle for 135 wins.

Takis, you are the hockey expert. Can you explain to me the calls made by the refs in the B's/Habs game? I know the 5 min major had to be called but are you kidding me with the call in overtime when the B's were about to kill off the major. Don't get me wrong, i know the Canadians are awesome but they were on the power play for the last 10 mins of that game. What ever happen to the days where you had to bite someone's finger off in overtime of a playoff game to get a penalty called? What a waste of time watching that game to have it decided by the refs in the end!

The game was called pretty even the penalty in OT by Reich tripped a Canadian you can't do that and the guy fell. B's 0-10 now against Habs.

C'mon Tak...You must watch enough hockey to know that BULLSHIT calls should not and most often are not called in OT----especially in the playoffs!! That goes for every sport...Basketball/Football/Hockey. Unless its a disgusting obvious penalty....That shit isnt called!!! No way that called should have been made!!! Sure the Habs own the B's, but it was a great game....and it finished on a call the ref hesitated to make!! I am searching the net but cant find any video footage!!! But the B’s took the last five minor penalties of the game starting at the 14:17 mark of the third period and it was the last one that final did them in.
The Bruins were in the process of doing a masterful job of killing off the remnants of a Shawn Thornton double minor for high-sticking that carried over into overtime when Jeremy Reich tapped Habs defenseman Andrei Markov’s blade with his stick. Markov went down, the 21,173 in attendance at the Bell Centre cried foul and, about three seconds after the play, referee Mike Leggo finally agreed.
The B’s tried to take the high road but their true emotions seeped out.
“I really don’t want to talk about it. It was brutal,†Marc Savard said. “We’re not going to talk about it. It’s frustrating. A great hockey game like that and we all saw how it was decided.â€
Reich, who felt he was high-sticked just before the penalty and let the officials know in an animated discussion after Kovalev’s goal, bit his tongue.

I tapped the game it was a trip you can't do shit like that rules have changed, the guy swiped his stick at the guys feet and tripped him if it's in regular time or OT they must call it. New day your B's better come in picks posted this is win or get out for them gl.

I hear ya bro!! But I have seen dudes mugged going for a lay-up or in the endzone with seconds left and no calls made!!!! Rules are rules, but we all see different rules late in the game and playoffs!!! Would you feel differently if the same call was on the Habs??

you guys asked me about the trip in OT by B's don't bring other stuff up game over new day today, the refs did miss some penalties both ways, sometimes you need luck on your side. Let's see how the B's do tonight there 0-10 against them but I think they have a chance everyone on habs tonight lol gl.

If you feel that way, then obviously the stick in the face should have been called!!
You should watch it again....Tell me, if you had no money on the game--What would you have thought about that penalty?? Or if you had money on the other side!! I could care less about the Bruins so this is not a homer rant...I had no money on the game so that is no reason. This is the lounge, where people that want to discuss this shit can. This is the area for discussions and this is a discussion. We know you are VERY good at hockey and follow it well so the discussion was directed toward you thats all!! It was a shit call, period!! You seem to think it was a legit call and a reasonable call for a playoff game overtime!!! I disagree.
