I KNOW IT'S EARLY SO I AM JUST THROWING SOME GAMES OUT THERE THAT INTEREST ME FROM THE START...
K.C. -5
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PLAY THIS WEEK. I JUST FEEL THAT KC, AT HOME, IS TOO STRONG AND THEY JUST HAVE TOO MUCH FIRE POWER FOR THE PANTHERS PASSING ATTACK TO PLAY "CATCH UP". I DON'T DOUBT THAT CAROLINA WILL BE SUCCESSFULL RUNNING THE BALL, BUT THAT WON'T BE ENOUGH TO KEEP UP. AS A MATTER OF FACT, THAT IS EXACTLY WHY THEY WILL REMAIN BEHIND KC BY 5 OR MORE.
BUT, MOST OF ALL, THE PSYCHOLOGICAL GAMES THAT VEGAS PLAYS WITH PEOPLE'S MIND HAS ME LEANING TOWARDS KC. I FEEL THAT MOST "AVERAGE JOE" GAMBLERS CAN'T SEE CAROLINA GOING 0-2 A YR FROM THE SUPER BOWL, ESPECIALLY GETTING 5-6 POINTS. SO, THIS WILL BE THEIR "NO-BRAINER". WHICH MAKES IT A "NO BRAINER" FOR ME TO GO THE OTHER WAY.
OAK-3
THEY JUST HAVE TOO MUCH FIRE POWER AND THEIR PLAYING @ HOME. PLAYING AT HOME ALLOWS YOU TO PLAY YOUR GAME AND, CONTRARY TO LAST YEAR, OAK SHOULD BE A HIGH SCORING TEAM WITH GANNON HEALTHY. GANNON BEING THE MAN ON THAT TEAM BECAME SO EVIDENT IN ABOUT 1 QUARTER. I BELIEVE HE ONLY PLAYED IN THE SEASON OPENER LAST YEAR. BECAUSE OF THIS, IT IS SO EASY FOR US TO EQUATE THEIR LACK OF AN OFFENSE LAST YEAR TO THIS YEARS TEAM. THANKS TO A HEALTHY GANNON, I JUST LEARNED 2 OTHER RECIEVERS NAME'S. ALSO, IF HENRY BEING BANGED UP VRS. SAPP/WASH MEANS THAT THEY WILL HAVE TO PASS ON WOODSON/BUCH TO PLAY "CATCH-UP" AND SCORE, I'LL TAKE THAT BET.
JETS-3
IT'S THE CHARGERS, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO AND, JUST BECAUSE THEY BEAT THE TEXANS, THEY ARE ALREADY SCREAMING SUPER BOWL HERE. IT'S REDICULOUS. THEM BEATING THE TEXANS ONLY INFORMS ME THAT THE TEXANS ARE NOW THE WORST TEAM IN FOOTBALL. CURTIS MARTIN SHOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY AGAINST THAT SORRY CHARGERS DEFENSE. THE JETS RUN DEFENSE, WHICH HAS BEEN HORRIBLE IN RECENT TIMES, SEEMED TO BE FAR BETTER THAN LAST YEAR. BASICALLY, IF THEY HOLD LT TO UNDER 200, THEY WILL WIN EASILY.
WELL, THERE YOU HAVE IT. HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED THE NOVEL.
I WOULD LIKE TO SAY "WATTUP" TO THE OLD SCHOOL FROM THE OLD "GOT PICKS" BOARD. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME. IT'S SO NICE TO BE BACK.
GL AND GOD BLESS...
THE NOOCH
PS. IM BUZZING RIGHT NOW SO DON'T LISTEN TO A WORD I'VE SAID AND DON'T PLAY MY PLAYS...

1) Ravens (-3) (average play). Many people were in love with the Ravens last week on the Road, but I am more in love with the Ravens this week at home. Baltimore has dominated Steelers the last few years and I don't expect this game to be any different. Kyle Boller rating should improve this weekend against one of the worst pass defenses in the world. Boller will be able to pass against Steelers' pass D, which would give J. Lewis room to roam against a strong Steelers' rush D. Baltimore D is too tough at home against an erractic Tommy Maddox. Ravens win comfortably here. UNDER is worth looking at here as well.
2) Chiefs (-6) (average play). Chiefs are almost unbeatable at home. I know Chiefs D is soft but Panthers have no threat now that Steve Smith is done for the year. I expect Gunther to line up 8 in the box to stop Stephen Davis, which will force Delhomme and his thin receiving corps to make plays at Arrowhead. Chiefs offense can score 30+ at home against any D in the league and they should score plenty here.
3) Skins (-3) (average play). Skins D is too tough for either Giants QB to handle. And Giants D is so sorry it's hard to put into words. Once again, I think Skins should win by at least 1 TD against an inferior opponent, much like last weekend.
4) Colts (+1) (small play). No real explanation other than to say I can't picture Colts being 0-2 after 2 weeks.

Good luck all.

Have an overall record of 3-1 in NFL posts, basically lost the juice in college football yesterday even though posted plays went 4-2 on posted plays, lost a couple of 2nd half bets I got screwed on, Ohio St giving up a 4th & 19 TD pass to NC State and Boise St missing extra point so instead of push, lost.
Here is what I like today:
1) Chiefs (-6.5) - Carolina will be missing their best receiver Smith and running back Davis. KC is one of the toughest places to play as they won all 8 regular season games last year and were 6-2 ATS. I believe KC's D will look better this week under new defensive cooridator Guther Cunningham.
2) Packers (-8.5) - Packers own the Bears winning 18 of last 20 straight up since 1994. Packers are 17-6 ATS in last 23 after playing Monday night and are 8-1 ATS last 9 meetings against the Bears. Also, Bears are 1-7 ATS last 8 playing on grass. Packers D was better than expected last week at Carolina and Packers are very good at home and see Farve and Green having big games and Grossman and the Bears offense struggle against the Pack.
3) Redskins (-3) - Redskins are 3-0-1 ATS in last 4 road games against Giants. Giants are an amazing 1-11-2 ATS in last 14 games. Redskins are 7-3 ATS in last 10 against the Giants.
Good luck everyone!!

Agreed with Mr. Las Vegas..Jacksonville wins outright at home today. I am playing the money line on this one.
NFL Total play of the week: I smoked my week one total play of the Jets/Bengals over. Here's the winner for this week and two other bets.
BEST BET:
Indy/Tennessee over 47. Fellas this shootout will go over 60. I'm all over this play and I'm releasing it as a STRONG play. I don't have time for the write up, but this game will go over.
10 units on over 47 Tenn/Indy for me.
AVE BET:Jacksonville ML to punk the Broncos in Jville.
3 units to win 5.5 units for me.
AVE BET: Carolina/KC over the 46. Happy to see my alter ego (A_T_S) posting again. ATS...for a long time a few of the fellas thought we were one and the same. Glad to see you posting again.
My copying MR LAS VEGAS 8 team parley today:
Chiefs over 46
Tenn over 47
Tampa Bay +3 1/2
Atlanta over 46 1/2
Patriots under 41 1/2
Jets over 46
Cleveland under 38 1/2
Giants over 40 1/2
Risking 100.00 to win 18.6K
Good luck fellas, slam the man today.
Thanks again for everyone's kind words in reference to Ivan. Have a great Sunday

I'm with you on that one, Takis, definitely more confident about it now.
I missed the early games (probably a good thing) and took a few easy bets on the afternoon. I hope this pick comes through too.
Good Luck.
