Hey fellas, don't foget about our national pasttime. I was excited as everyone else to see the pigskin flying. Here's my MLB today, I'm up over 22 units so, I'm playing some favorites, but still have some best bets that are cheap.
AVE BET: Backin Schills and the hot Reds Sox at home..risking 5 units to win 2.
AVE BET: Cardinals/Dodgers over 9. Dream Weaver's nice run ends today as the Cardinals blow up on him today. Note, The Dodgers will get Marquis too.

BEST BET:Chicago W. Sox under 10 1/2. I've correctly called the White Sox as a best bet in the last two. Today I'm suggesting the under as the Seattle bats face a new pitcher Diaz and the Sox bats face a crafty old veteran in Moyer. I'm playing the under juice free.

This is a rebuilding season for the (LY 4-8 SU, 6-5 ATS) Wildcats, so don't go looking for too much. FAT boy QB Jared Lorenzen has moved on, inexperienced Shane Boyd steps in, though he was just 15-of-43 for 205 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs last season. The rushing game returns its two best runners in juniors Alexis Bwenge (4.4 yards per carry) and Arliss Beach (3.6 ypc, 8 TDs, 366 yards) but they still will need a lot of work to do on offense. Now for the ugly, the defense is shitty. Kentucky allowed 26.8 ppg last season after allowing 25 points and 174.3 yds rushing per game in '02. Louisville (LY 9-4 SU, 4-7-2 ATS) won this game easily a year ago 40-24 SU, ATS so with 18 returning starters, look out Cats. This team averaged 34.6 points, 228 yards rushing and 260 yards passing per game in 2003. Defensive injuries derailed them late in the season, as the Cardinals lost 3 of their final 5 after a 7-1 start. Louisville's offense should be strong again behind senior QB Stefan LeFors (3,145 yards, 61% completions, 17 TDs, 10 INTs). He has a star senior WR to lean on in J.R. Russell (75 grabs, 1,213 yards, 8 TDs), as well as senior Joshua Tinch and speedy junior Broderick Clark. The running game will be strong, as well, with their No. 2 and 3 rushers back in junior RB Eric Shelton (790 yards, 10 TDs, 4.8 ypc) and junior RB Michael Bush (503 yards). Louisville has a high powered offense and will pass pass pass and run all damn day. This could be a shoot out or not, but I expect points to FLY!

Under the guidance of Keith Gilbertson and Pat Hill, we have a pair of programs going in opposite directions. Washington's Gilbertson, formerly a fine offensive coordinator, simply isn't head coach material. Hill on the other hand, has done a remarkable job building up the Bulldogs over the last six years. Pedigree would suggest a Pac 10 squad at home should be a favorite over a WAC visitor, but that may not be the case here. Fresno returns 18 starters, nine on each side of the ball, while Washington welcomes back just 12. For the first time in 25 years there's no heir apparent at QB in Seattle. Fresno St. on the other hand has Paul Pinegar, who when healthy, is one of the WAC's premier signal callers. Add in an intact offensive line plus a defense that not only owns 9 starters but superb depth and there's no reason not to back the Bulldogs over the Huskies.

Had a great day in College Football with my picks and some I pick rode from others here. My posted plays went 2-1 winning with Michigan & UAB and losing Texas Tech. Did one bet yesterday for today's football:
1) Houston (-4)
Baseball record is 39-33 overall, betting 4 dogs so if I go 2-2 I will still be up:
