It will be Washington State's rugged defense against New Mexico's strong running attack. The Cougars D was solid last year. Washington State allowed 19.8 points per game last season and has a strong front line returning. The offense is retooling with sophomore QB Josh Swogger stepping up. Washington State is 14-7 ATS on the road the last four years! Some tid bits I found out, guess what team has won the most games in the past three years in the pac 10? Usc? Cal? NOPE The cougars with 30! New Mexico club has one of the best offensive lines in the country: 30 points, 210 yards rushing and 190 passing per game in 2003. Junior RB DonTrell Moore (1,438 yards, 5.4 yds per carry, 19 TDs) leads the way, but he will be tested by the Cougars tough line. New Mexico lost 23-13 at Washington State last season, but got the cover as a +14 dog. This year they are at home and a +3 dog. So what will win, a top running offense or a good D? The Cougars have the defense to win a close, defensive battle again.

Ouch! I went 0-2 yesterday in mlb (lost with White Sox early and Padres late...bummer!) Oh well...a new day to make some coin and here is what I am playing...
Houston Astros - 1.5 (+140) , Pittsburgh (62-71) has lost seven straight, by a combined 50-18. The Pirates are 9-7 last 16 Perez (9-7, 2.87) starts. Perez faces the Astros for the first time. Houston (70-63) has won six straight, by a combined 60-22, to pull within three games of the NL wild card lead. The Astros have hit 22 home runs over their last eight games. Astros starter Clemens (14-4, 3.1) is 9-3 with a 2.48 era at home this season. Clemens is 2-0 life vs. Pittsburgh with a 2.08 era, both starts coming this season. Houston is 7-2 over Pittsburgh this season, including 6-1 at home.
