It will be Washington State's rugged defense against New Mexico's strong running attack. The Cougars D was solid last year. Washington State allowed 19.8 points per game last season and has a strong front line returning. The offense is retooling with sophomore QB Josh Swogger stepping up. Washington State is 14-7 ATS on the road the last four years! Some tid bits I found out, guess what team has won the most games in the past three years in the pac 10? Usc? Cal? NOPE The cougars with 30! New Mexico club has one of the best offensive lines in the country: 30 points, 210 yards rushing and 190 passing per game in 2003. Junior RB DonTrell Moore (1,438 yards, 5.4 yds per carry, 19 TDs) leads the way, but he will be tested by the Cougars tough line. New Mexico lost 23-13 at Washington State last season, but got the cover as a +14 dog. This year they are at home and a +3 dog. So what will win, a top running offense or a good D? The Cougars have the defense to win a close, defensive battle again.

NFL: Tough loss for Steeler backers last night as the turnovers( fumbled at 2 yard line with 35 seconds left was one to many miscues) cost them the game! Tonight the SAINTS -3 play a bad Dolphins team with hurricanes on their minds so my moneys says they get BLOWN AWAY tonight ( plus they really suck) SAINTS -3 !! 7-4 preseason ! COLLEGE FOOTS 2-0 !! Both winners so far dogs ( V.T. & NORTWESTERN) tonight see that trend continuing! NEW MEXICO + 3 at home offensive line just to much for Wash tonight! GL no matter which way the coin flips!

Would have loved to get this game when it open at 1 but I didn't jump on it so I'm going to put a small wager on washington st. to play good D and shut down a good New Mexico running game... I don't expect much out of a new mexico passing game with a new QB and a first game on national tv...

Ouch! I went 0-2 yesterday in mlb (lost with White Sox early and Padres late...bummer!) Oh well...a new day to make some coin and here is what I am playing...
Houston Astros - 1.5 (+140) , Pittsburgh (62-71) has lost seven straight, by a combined 50-18. The Pirates are 9-7 last 16 Perez (9-7, 2.87) starts. Perez faces the Astros for the first time. Houston (70-63) has won six straight, by a combined 60-22, to pull within three games of the NL wild card lead. The Astros have hit 22 home runs over their last eight games. Astros starter Clemens (14-4, 3.1) is 9-3 with a 2.48 era at home this season. Clemens is 2-0 life vs. Pittsburgh with a 2.08 era, both starts coming this season. Houston is 7-2 over Pittsburgh this season, including 6-1 at home.

Got drilled yesterday...11-8-1ATS for the week, plus 3.2 units. Here's what I have on hand for tonight:
AVEBET: Bravos on the Road against Scott Downs and the Expos.

3) Rockies (+185) great value with Jennings against Wells.
Also, parley anything with Twins which is a steep -400 to increase payout.
