Daily Picks for Saturday Dec 22nd

Gentlemen, I got my "professional" card for GP today. Let's hope it does well for us. I've been having a good run lately, but talk is cheap, here's my card:

Congrats on last night's winner on LaSalle, not a big one but we'll take it.

Mo Valley:

Roll with me on the Creighton over against Arkansas Little ROck. Creighton is quietly building a Mo Valley dynasty in Omaha and Dana has radially changed the face of the BlueJays offense. As predicted PAllen Stinnett and the fab frosh of Creighton have raised this team to a new level of athleticism. Back in the days of Harstead and Gallagher, they pounded inside. THen came the emergence of quality sharpshooters like Nate Funk and Kyle Korver. Creighton now has an athletic team that can score and rain's 3's. This team reminds me of a poor man's Tennessee. On the other side of the bench is ARkansas Little Rock, a team that deserves some repect.

CREIGHTON OVER 127 1/2...I'm on this for 3 units. Should be around 140

Look at the numbers on Creighton in games this year. Remember that they are also 7-0 SU at home and rock the Qwest center.

TEAM SCHEDULE & RESULTS

Nov 9 DePaul -3.0 126.5 Won 74 - 62 Win / Over

Dec 17 HOUSTON BAPTIST Won 110 - 73 /

Dec 20 NC CENTRAL Won 88 - 54

Conversely..look at the numbers for ArkLR:

Opponent Line Total Result ATS

Nov 9 U. of the Ozarks Won 92 - 54 /

Nov 12 @ Loyola Marymount -2.0 Won 71 - 40 Win /

Nov 18 Texas-Arlington Lost 58 - 68 /

Nov 20 Centenary Won 72 - 64 /

Nov 24 Louisiana Tech -11.0 121.0 Won 63 - 49 Win / Under

Nov 27 @ Rice -6.0 123.0 Won 59 - 52 Win / Under

Dec 1 Tulsa -1.5 127.0 Won 62 - 51 Win / Under

Dec 8 John Brown Won 73 - 36 /

Dec 15 Florida International -12.0 129.5 Won 75 - 67 Lost / Over

Dec 18 Pepperdine -8.5 145.5 Won 70 - 65 Lost / Under

ARL is 9-1 SU and a decent team. Both are athletic and this should be a barn burner. I haven't seen a total yet but I'll take the over all day. I will edit this post when the line comes out to post the total I played.

Creighton is absolutely firing on all cylinders and even though ARL plays some decent defense, I have to take the Jays to win this game but run high on scoring.

ROLL WITH CONFIDENCE ON OVER ??? In ArkansasLittle Rock/Creighton.

BIg XII GOM:

A friend of mine from another site is a big Horns fan and this play is for him. Texas = Monmouth today as the Horns are going to win today in East Lansing. As a fan of the Big XII, and from our posts this year, you know we cashed early and often on the Horns as they dismantled #7 Tennesee, slaughtered Ohio State, and basically have played some of the best ball in the country this year. THey have 4 legit threats on offense, a devestating 3 arsenal, and one of the best guards in the nation in D.J. Augustine. I can't believe I'm catching 4 as I guess Izzo and Nietzel command respect in the Midwest. MSU is a good team and Izzo one of the top minds in college hoops, but they are overmatched in this game. It's a statement game and possibly a trap, but I am confident Texas will come out on top with a win. We're going to take the points to be safe, but let's see what MSU can do against a top 5 team this year. Texas has cashed for us every time we played them this year and this will not be our first L. Let's roll and get this line early, it's going to drop.

BIG XII GOM: Texas +4 @ Michigan State

Good luck today. We'll be back December 26'th for more Mo Valley and Big XII action. Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to you all.

Fellas, I'm on both of these plays today. I really think Texas is going to win that game outright today in East Lansing. Izzo is laying a trap and don't think I don't respect how good MSU is, but I've said all year since July that Texas is a legit national power. They show that again today with a tough fought win (or cover) against the Spartans.

Have a great Christmas GP...I got EPL up on the futbol board.

EDIT:

If you remember Jeffer, him and I are waging a classic, no hold barred, handicapping contest. As good friends, we decided to give the action to each other instead of the books. WE will be going head to head on selective bowl game matches to see who has the best record ATS. It's a 2dime contest for us. I will post our plays and records if you want em. We're gonna use GP as our record board but I'll do all the posting. For those that have been around awhile, you know Jeffer does well on college foots. I should lose this thing but the self proclaimed king of the playoff season can't resist the challenge. I'll post our head to head matchup and wager in a thread in college football. Have a great Saturday..what a great card for college hoops.

Still no line on Creighton total, and Texas is up to 4 1/2..I'll wait before laying to see if it continues to go up.

    PC-

This game is in the Palace of Auburn Hills- not E. Lansing. Texas is playing well, but the Spartans have had this game circled since the beginning of the season. They couldn't close out UCLA early this year and that has motivated them to close out games since. They are battle tested (road wins against BYU in Salt Lake and Bradley at Bradley). They are deep where as Texas will probably only play 7 guys all game.

Good Luck, but I'm going against you! Lay the 4 points and take the Spartans today- I think they will win by 10 pts.

    Even better..>GL...

All I can say is...Chiefs/Chargers? Weren't you the one tellin me what a bonehead play that was and the Chiefs ended up winning by 14?

You love fadin me but either way good luck. You could very well be right, would love to see your logic as to why Michigan State wins by 10 points.

Last hoops post me for this year. You have every right in the world to go against me, but bring some reasoning...

LAST TIME FROSTY CALLED MY PLAY OUT BY NAME:

    PC-

I'm a huge Chefs fan and appreciate the luv!! But, the Chargers are gonna blow us out of the water tomorrow!

I hate to say it, but I'm just going on these facts:

    1. The Chargers are embarrased right now! They are out to prove themselves and that can be scary with LT- which is the most embarrased of them all!

    2. The Chiefs have relied on Priest/LJ and their offensive line for so long and now, with injuries, retirements, and overall draft/leauge shit they are no longer the best offensive line to run behind!

    3. Who's the real QB for the Chefs?... Huard is not for real and Croyle could catch fire, but against a fired up Chargers home crowd and D?? Don't think so- I hate to say it.... but,

    SD 34

    KC 13

I'm laying off of it... Good Luck!

    Buyer Beware!

    and the result:

    Chiefs 30

    San Diego 16

    and the next post:

First and foremost- PC- Great call on the Chiefs! I look back on my write up as a drunken fool with no real facts- just opinions. So, take it for what it is!

BigPimpin'- I was lmao when I read your write up! Good stuff!

So..with that being said..happy holidays and good luck to everyone who is on MSU/Texas....this dude loves fadin me and I'm not gonna argue with you.

GL frosty...for real, I do think MSU has a real shot to win. My last post on hoops for the year since I feel the need to once again refute myself against a guy who brings no real facts on his post and loves to specifically name my plays as the ones to fade.

merry Christmas...good luck on all your plays boys.

Nevada / New Mexico over 57

Nevada has a quick strike offense and should win this game outright. NM will be playing catchup and 2nd half will bring a lot of poitns as they try to lengthen the game.

Game goes over 57. Good luck

OK PC... fair enough on the earlier post- here's some more reasoning for ya'-

Spartans depth vs. no depth for Texas.

Fan base will be largely for the Spartans.

Neitzel has yet to have a huge game this year- looking for him to beat Texas's zone with several 3's today.

Spartans are fresh and Izzo was not happy after a 40 pt. win against a weak San Jose St. team on Wed. He'll have them executing at full throttle today.

Watch out for Durrell Summers today! He could be the thorn in the side of Texas.

Free throw shooting down the stretch is my reasoning for the Spartans to win by the 10 pts. They have proven they can make the clutch free throws in wins vs BYU and Bradley on the road.

The Spartans learned their lesson vs. UCLA early in the year and will close out this game in the end!

Good Luck PC- I hope your wrong and we can at least event the score between the two of us!
