Fifth Post (3-1)
Take the White Sox (Buehrle) -112 against the Tigers (Nate Roberstson).
I like the low odds in this game. Sox roughed up Robertson last month. Buehrle went 9 innings giving up 2 ER in last start against Tigers. Both teams are about even hitting and better pitcher gets the win.

I must be out of my mind to post so early in the season. its only preseason!!! Well a little information might killed you on this one but so be it. Info in today paper in the Bay Area states that the 49ers are going with their #3 and #4 Qback for the Minn game. Its seem that their #1 Qb Rattay is still sore and their #2 Qb Dorsey hurt himself on monday and now has a bulging disks in his back. tsk tsk usually the first string Qb plays one half of the game at least. Usually the 49ers dont give a hoot in preseason games anyway. the line has moved on this game to Minn -7. Whoaaaaaaa you say.. thats a lot of points bs!!! but looked at it this way Minn will play their #1Qback for at least a half (im guessing on this one).FOR YOU PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN MINNESOTA, FEEL FREE TO GIVE ME YOUR INFO ON YOUR TEAM, before i make a jackass out of myself!!!hahahahhahaha. Im going out on a limb and taking the Odin team!!! Thats right ... Minne haha. i hope randy moss score 5 TDs. enuff said!!! Remember this is still preseason and dont put all your marbles on this one,,, this pick is for entertainmain only... yeah right hahahahahha

Toronto Blue Jays + 175 , Boston (71-52) is 7-1 last eight games. The Red Sox are 3-3 last six Schilling (15-6, 3.45) starts, Schilling allowing 17 runs in 17 1/3 innings in the three losses. Schilling is 0-2 at Toronto this season, by a combined 19-9, allowing 10 runs on 21 hits over 12 2/3 innings. Toronto (52-73) is 4-1 last five games, including a 3-0 win over Boston on Monday. The Blue Jays are 6-1 last seven Towers (9-4, 4.30) starts including a 5-4 win at the (78-47)Yankees and a 5-3 win at (71-53) Oakland. Towers has allowed 5 runs in 19 innings over his last three starts. Got to go with the Jays and the nice payoff...

SAN FRAN OVER 8 1/2 DAY 18
Here's why. Dontrelle isn't the pitcher everyone thinks he is. I get to watch a lot of Marlins games here in FL and he's good, but not spectacular. The Dtrain is 1-3 in his last four starts and has given up some runs. I watched the game last night and you wouldn't believe the Marlin's sticks. Word in FL is that McKeon hasn't thrown in the towel. They are still in striking distance and I think might have a shot at the Wild Card. Anyways, Lowry is 4-0 in his last 4 on the over. DISCLAIMER: IF BARRY ISN'T PLAYING, I'm backing this down to 1.5 unit play. I won't bore you with San Fran's MLB leading over record or the hot trend since the All Star break, you've heard it all before. Dtrain gets rocked tonight, but Lowry might too. I'm on the over for 3 units.

You heard me...Cleveland. Yes, I know the tribe have lost 9 in a row. Yes, I know they lost a heartbreaker last night to the Evil Empire. But dig this fellas. Look at these numbers on Jake Westbrooke. They are absolutely eye popping. In home starts this year, Westrbooke is 8-3. In his last 6 starts at home, Westbrooke is 5-1. Beating the Orioles, the Rangers, the Red Sox, the Athletics and I can't remember the 4'th. I'll back a home dog pitcher like this anyday. And as for the Yankees, they are in a mini slump. Boston has caught back up and the Yanks are feeling the effects of a not 100% Sheff and gone for the year Giambi. Throw in El Duque's 5-0 start and I see an upset brewing. The Yanks are 4-6 in their last ten, including two wins against these Indians. No sweep tonight and the juice is great value. I also am playing the total on this game, something I rarely do: play both side and total of same game. Anyways, the under looks great. Running short on time, but it's a good play, both teams going under a lot during their 4-6 and 1-9 slides.
STRONG PLAY: 7 UNITS
As one of my west coast colleagues knows, I've been on this series since it started and I'm gonna ride it out until the end. PLAY ON THE OVER 9 ANAHEIM. Here's why....
Ramon Ortiz at home since 7-3... 13,9,11,13,11,19 runs in 6 starts. An average of 12.66 runs a game.
In last five starts at home 0-1, 5.1 inning average, 6.12 ERA.
Angels bats are absolutely exploding coming back from the Bronx sweep. THEY WILL NOT ALLOW THEMSELVES TO LOSE TO MY ROYALS! I've been on the right side and total of this series since Monday and I'm rollin it again.
Mike wood lost to Anaheim at home (a much bigger pitcher's park at the K in Kansas City than the Halo's homeland)4-6 going over. The over is 4-2 in this series Year to date.
The over is 2-0 in the first two games of this series.
Remember my post about Colon and May giving up 13, then last night Lackey and Cerrano giving up 12, So Ramon Ortiz and his terrible home ERA and record against an equally inept on the Road Mike Wood doesn't make it over? Good luck for those who ride, I'm on the over 9 Anaheim again as my 3'rd STRONG play post on this board.
