Fellas...side note, pay attention to the Texas Longhorns in hoops early. I've been riding them every game and they are dominating. They roped Ohio State by 30 (and this team will contend for the Big X title), they just got done droppin the #7 Vols by 20...I'm tellin ya, as a Kansas fan this team is very talented. Just FYI and go after them until the pub notices and the linesmakers adjust. I took them last night +5 1/2, I took them against Ohio State as a dog, they look absolutely great.

Anyways: Big XII GAME OF THE MONTH:

Kansas hosts Arizona at 7:00PM CST tonight. The Jayhawks are averaging 91.2 points a game and a win margin of 31.3 points a game. Albeit, these are all against patsies. The only interesting note of merit is Kansas beat Northern Arizona by 41 at home, Zona beat Northern Arizona by 7 at home.

The Jayhawks seem to be clicking at every cylinder. There defense is rock solid (holding NAU to 10 first half points last time out at the Fieldhouse) and they are among the nation's leaders in steals per game with a solid 12 steals per game average. The Jayhawks are primed to hammer this game for a number of reasons:

1.) As silly as it sounds, the Jayhawks have much more leadership and experience then the young cats. Every player on the floor 9 deep played good minutes last year and they all know the system. 3 National All americans compliment the recruiting class and guys like Sharron Collins and Darrell Arthur look great this year. Sasha kaun has improved his mobility and touch each year and he is a solid 7 footer in the center. This leadership is going to frustrate a young Zona team that has a frosh at the point and a first year starter at the shooting guard. Don't get me wrong, Zona brings the talent, but these guys are gonna have trouble, especially early in the game.

2.) Kansas lost last year by double digits after leading by 20 in the first half. NO WAY IN HELL THIS HAPPENS AGAIN. The revenge factor and KU's dominant early play advocates the 13 1/2 they have to lay to win for us today. KU will put the petal to the metal today and go after it against the Cats, who are missing key tactician Lute Olsen as he is on a leave of absence for "personal reasons." My guess, they finally figured out he was a booze hound.

3.) I'm biased, but I think the Jayhawks are the best team in the country. Tons of talent, deep at every position, Brandon Rush came back 2 weeks early from re hab, and the fieldhouse is the hardest place to win a game. (KU is 122-8 in their last 130 at the house).

here's the question: does kansas cover the 14 needed to get us a win? Will they run and gun or will the young players of Zona implode? I like the over, I like the Hawks, but my game of the month is a 1H play.

Jayhawks will come out on fire and own the first half. But I won't get backdoored. If you can only play the game play the entire game at -13 1/2. That should hit but I will bank on the fact that KU comes out on fire tonight at what should be a rocking and revenge filled Fieldhouse.

I think they win the game outright. Tampa Bay is over rated and been a victim of timely scheduling. I expect Portis and a versatile campbell to have a field day.

Play #3: Philly +24...You've got to be kidding me? I know AJ's starting but Andy Reid is not gonna get punked by 4 touchdowns on national TV. He is the same kind of man as Billicheck and I just can't see it. I'm not hatin on the Pats, they are a special team. But Westbrooke, a healthy LJ smith, and a decent back up in AJ feeley..I'll take the points. And yes, I bet the ML for 50.00 at 25/1.
