  2. .

Another WACky MAC middle of the week game

    AKRON at MIAMI

Not alot of time here but quick thoughts -

Miami is in the drivers seat to win the MAC East setting up the MAC

Football Championship Game on December 1 in Detroit - Miami vs Central Mich -

Bowling Green and Buffalo have outside shots to win the EAST, however Miami gained head to head victories over both of these teams in their last two home games, including a 33 point thrashing of BG.

Miami has played well at HOME.

Akron has not played well on the road - including two recent thrashings from those other two contenders named above, BG and Buffalo.

The MAC Weekday night Home Team has been playing well and I think the spread reflects some of thet Weekday Night Home Respect.

The line has gone down from -9 to -7-1/2 with the PUBLIC slightly on Miami.

As of now, I am leaning toward Miami -7, but may wait to see how it plays in the 1st Half.

    Gotta run

  3. Miami O. -7- Like Drtnapper said, they are a VERY good home team with the only home loss to Cinn. and have put together a nice season since some early injuries and losses to quality teams (back when I hammered Colo. v.s. Miami O.). Couple that with the fact the Akron has lost 6 of 7 road games and 5 of the 6 were by 16 points or more. This would be Miami's 6th win and I think they get it tonight. Miami O. -7- for me tonight.

GL to all if you play.

  6. Much better. Let's keep this streak going. 6 in a row. 18-15-2 in pucks this year

    NYR/NJ U 5 -135.

What? U 5 at -135! This sounds crazy, but there is a reason for this line.

NYR score 1.3 goals on the road.

NYR 13-3-1 under this season, 5-1 under on the road.

    NJ 5-11-1 under.

Average goals in last 7 of these teams: 3.4.

Remember the playoffs last year. Games were tight and saw O/U lines at 4.5 and they were hitting! Don't be scared by this line. I have been on the NYR Under this year and it has been a cash cow. The unders have dominated NHL this year, as Vegas has not adjusted yet.

    FUNNY STORY HAPPENED TODAY ---

The NCAA - Hall of Champions in Indianapolis had a fire this morning and as part of my job I work on fires of this nature.

    http://chronicle.com/news/article/3432/fire-closes-ncaa-offices-for-the-day [chronicle.com]">http://chronicle.com/news/article/3432/ [chronicle.com] ... or-the-day

Anyway - The fire involved the "One Shining Moment" Display for college Basketball. Directly overhead was the 64 team Bracket from last year which is about 20 feet by 10 feet in size. The fire consumed about 50 to 60% of the bracket - wiping out the center completely (Completely consuming the champion, the final four, the elite eight and most of the sweet 16).

I told the head of the NCAA that the bracket looked a helluva lot better the one that i had filled out last March.

  13. Miami Ohio -7 over Akron

    also

    500 Dime - Orlando +3 over Cleveland

    500 Dime - Over the total of 206 (Memphis/Milwaukee)

Raudabaugh, the Redhawks QB, was 20 of 26 for over 250 yards and a TD in his last start against Buffalo. Can he duplicate that against Akron tonight? I see no reason why not. Miami has put up 88 points over its last two contests at home, while Akron has given up 41, 44, 38, 26 and 44 respectively in its last five away from home. Akron has covered just two of 11 away from home, while Miami OH is 7-3-1 ATS their last 11 in November. Take the Redhawks and lay the points tonight.

Dwight Howard comes off his best game as a pro, a loss to Phoenix Saturday night. He had a double double and take it from a guy that watched the game, he completely dominated. Too bad his teammates didn't show up. As for the trends, the Magic are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog. They are also 8-0-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Magic are 5-1 their last six against the East, and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5. As for Cleveland, they come home off a road trip out West, and are 1-4 ATS in their last five following a road trip of more than a week. The underdog has covered four in a row in this series, and the road team has covered four in a row as well. Magic outright tonight.

The over is 5-1 in Grizzlies last six against the Central division, and is 20-6-2 in their last 28 against the Eastern Conference. When an underdog of 5.0-10.5 points, the over has hit in five of seven for Memphis. As for Milwaukee, the over is 4-0 in their last four against the Southwest. The over is also 6-1 in the Bucks last seven games following a ATS loss. Four of five overall for the Bucks have gone over, and this one will be no different tonight.
