  7. New Mexico State +18- at DUKE

Take the big number with New Mexico State tonight when they travel to take on Duke.

The Aggies made the NCAA tournament last year after finishing 25-9 and they return a deep roster with versatile, athletic players who play a relentless attack style on offense and defense.

They have a 7-footer in the post in Martin Iti who can match up with the big frontcourt of Duke.

The Blue Devils are a young team and not particularly strong inside, so the attacking style of New Mexico State could cause some foul problems for the Duke forwards.

With a veteran team returning, I expect New Mexico State to stay within this generous impost.

  9. 2500 DIME MONDAY NIGHT

    LINEMAKERS LAMENT

    LOCK OF THE YEAR #2

    San Francisco +10 over Seattle

    also

500 Dime - Denver -7 over Cleveland (NBA)

500 Dime - Arkansas LR +2 over Loyola (NCCAB)

The Niners do have the league's worst ranked offense, but the bottom line is this is too many points to be getting. Seattle's defense is nothing to brag about, giving up a heap of yards and points to the Browns last week, and got dominated a few weeks ago by the Saints at home. San Francisco's Frank Gore is the key tonight. If he can get going, that will set up Alex Smith for a good game. I know the San Francisco receivers are a C-, maybe a D grade, but this Seattle team isn't capable of blowing the Niners out. Take SF to cover tonight.

The Cavs are a dismal 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing the second half of back to backs, and will try and keep up with the high powered offense of the Nuggets. As for Denver, they are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 against the NBA Central. They are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 against the Eastern Conference, and have won seven of 10 SU and ATS against the Cavs. The Cavs may be beasts in the East, but they have no chance of covering tonight against Iverson, Anthony and the Nuggets tonight.

Brandon Patterson is the leading scorer for ARK-LR, and scored 18 points, contributed six assists and eight rebounds in a one man show for the Trojans in their last game. As for their opponent, the Lions are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games as a favorite of 0.5-6.5. The Lions are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall, and are 1-4-2 ATS in their last seven games as a home favorite. Ark-LR wins outright tonight on the road.
