Let's Roll Mo Valley Style:
All right, I'll throw one since I can't wait for today. Early in the season, especially the first game is tough but I'll see if I can dig out a winner Mo Valley STyle this Fine Friday:
ROLL WITH ME ON NORTHERN IOWA -14 against Northern Illinois in an early season tourney.
Here's my logic:
I'm high on Northern Iowa this year. I really think this team is underrated and one of the top 2 teams in the Valley. They have very good coaching, and some good senior leadership. This team has played pressure games last year (unlike N. Illinois) and has some serious timber on the inside in a pair of 7 footers who both have perimeter games.
If you read my notes you noticed my post on SIU against this same NIU team. Ricardo Patton is taking over the worst team in the MAC which graduated 4 starters and return from a 7-14 campaign last year. Patton has no clue how to coach defense and I think Northern Iowa will eventually pick them apart tonight. It interests me (and I'm happy) that the line is only 14. I expected much higher which means the oddsmakers don't agree with me on UNI. I'm tellin ya, this team is garbage and they might make a strong first game showing for the new coach. But taking over a new program, starting 4 new starters, learning a new system, having an offense first philosiphy, all these spell loss and no cover by Northern Illinois tonight. In the battle of NIU's..I'll roll with the panthers from Iowa.

GL boys..hope I have two winners for ya. Early in the season is tough, but no disclaimers, I like both of these plays.

Brother I LOVE your N.IOWA pick! I mentioned to Hilly in Chat about a confrenceI 've been focused on and it is the MAC. N.Ill. is AWFUL and I'm looking forward to cashing on them several times this year and tonight is one of them!
BUT they might NOT be the worst team in the MAC.......BALL ST. might be worse than them.
BUTLER -11 Returning both guards Graves & Green ,that lead the nation in lowest turnover rate, top 3 point shooter, 5 seniors on the best team in their conf. v.s. a Ball St. team in shambles,being looked at by the NCAA for possiable recruitingviolations by the out going staff, New Coach stuck with with 6 incoming play from the old losing staff, top player is coming off a medical redshirt.
* * * All I have to lay is 11? I'm in !
( I thought the line would be more like 19 or so)

Same story, different year. The Valley is strong ATS on non conference and they opened the season 4-0 ATS last night.
Creighton -2..Winner
Indy State +6..SU winner
N. Iowa -14..Winner
Drake +4..SU winner
Valley power baby. That and the XII, the home of the best basketball in the country. You ACC and SEC joe's can have it.

I got one I can share with the group. A normal play..small action for me.
Mo Valley:
Roll on Ball State pick em against Evansville. I've said it all year, the Purple Aces are young and have no talent. Ball State should take care of this one on their home court even though they have some of the same issues.

Roll with me on Colorado +6 1/2 against AFA tonight. Former coach of the Falcons gets a shot at his old team as moves to the Big XII and the Buffs. Slow ball rules and CU has a shot.

We hit on Colorado last night..posted pretty late and most didn't see it so here's another one:
ROLL WITH ME ON BAYLOR..whatever you can get.
I took +3 with the local and +2 1/2 online..it's down to 1 1/2.
Nothing huge, but Baylor pulls the upset tonight in my opinion.
