I can't not make a play on the first game of the season....
UR -6
UR returns a lot of experience, while Maine lost 4 starters from a 12-18 team. UR was a miserable 8-22 LY, but played a lot better down the stretch. Spiders are apparently gonna be speeding up the tempo from the usual Princeton-style offense. In their scrimmage vs American (picked in middle of Patriot) they put up 95, while winning by 40. I think this should give them confidence vs a team picked 7th (of 9) in the AE. Outside their lone returning starter, Maine will start 2 Freshmen (1 RS) and two other starters who combined for 12 starts LY. I'm going with the experience (and hopefully confidence) here. GL.

maine could possibly be w/o their returning starter. From covers...
Maine Black Bears vs. Richmond Spiders (-6 ½): Monday, 4 p.m. (all times ET)
The Black Bears could be without sophomore star Junior Bernal, who sat out Maine’s last exhibition game with an undisclosed injury. The Bears are counting on the point guard to carry the load this season after losing the majority of the starting lineup and returning only one senior.
The Spiders went through growing pains last season with a very young team. While the sophomores have a season under their belts, Richmond welcomes another cart-load of freshmen. Second-year standouts Dan Geriot, David Gonzalvez and Ryan Butler are the guts of the starting five this year.

2 Plays I like tonight........
I know the Rockets have won 3 straight under their new coach but Dallas @ home is tough to go against
Mavericks - 5
Ravens coming off a bye week and this game is a must win for them.
Steelers are also 36 - 10 - 1 over the total @ home. I think 40 or better points scored tonight
Steelers / Ravens Over 36

Going 6-5 in the NBA so far. Off to a very mediocre start. Will hopefully turn things around after today's game. I think Dallas will beat Houston by atleast 6-8 points. I've watched almost every Dallas Houston matchup for the past 8 years since I was living in Houston and now in Dallas. Have looked at this game every which way and I see Dallas and over both coming in nicely.
Dallas Mavs -4 1/2 (Buy the hook and bring it to -4)
Over Dallas/Houston 189 1/2

i'm going to combine the nba record into my other one. It's easier for me.
nba is 2-1.
I fucked up and checked back with my other posts.
record is actually 95-55-6. you can go back and verify if anyone has a problem with it.
so now the tally is 97-56-6 counting the 3 nba games i posted.
now onto a play. i'm taking n.c. state -3 over n.c.(i bought the half) state has won 3 in a row and needs two more to be bowl eligible. also both teams played east carolina in which unc lost but state beat them by 14.
tonight i took balt +6 and over 17 1/2 1st half. I hoping balt. can score at least 6 points so i can't lose both bets. i have a dime on each. if i split then it only cost me 100 bucks. if i win, i will put all 2k on one game in the nfl this sunday as my goy. hopefully i can build the bankroll.
as a recap.
record is 97-56-6.
i have balt +6 1st half
i have over 17 1/2 1st half
i have nc. state -3 (bought a half)

5000 DIME DIVISIONAL RIVALRY
LOCK OF THE YEAR
Pittsburgh -9 over Baltimore
Defense, defense, defense. It's all defense tonight in this game. Pittsburgh has given up the fewest yards per game and the fewest points per contest of any NFL team this season. The Ravens are second in the league in total defense. Roethlisberger was absolutely awful last year against Baltimore. They sacked Roethlisberger 14 times and forced him to throw four interceptions. He threw for just 370 yards and one TD over the two games, both Raven wins. He is playing much, much better this year and is out to avenge those losses. The Steelers defeated the Bengals 24-13 last week with Roethlisberger throwing for 230 yards and two TDs. The fourth-year QB has 15 touchdown passes and six interceptions for the season, compared to seven TDs with 14 picks at the same time last year. He'll need to be on his game tonight, as the Ravens boast the league's second best run defense which will neutralize Willie Parker. Bottom line - the Ravens have no offense. The Steelers have a great defense. This one is all Steelers tonight.

1000 DIME NBA LOCK
Dallas -5 over Houston
The Mavs will be taking on a Rockets team that is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5. The Rockets are also 1-6 ATS in their last seven as a road underdog. The favorite in this series is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings, and the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The Mavs have a complete team, from the backcourt to the frontcourt. Watch out for Josh Howard. The third year player from Wake Forest is becoming a bigger and bigger piece of the Mavs puzzle. Expect him to have a huge game tonight and for the Mavs to blow the Rockets out of the water.

wassup mike, this is a tough game for me, i just like JT's first half plays, hoping ravens can score at least 6 points in the first half. If JT didn't post this, i probably wouldn't play tonight's game at all.
good luck

Still looking at the game .....
FYI -
Pittsburgh has not allowed a 1st Half TD this season at HOME (3 games)
Baltimore has not scored a 1st Half TD in their last 3 ROAD games -
They did score one against the defensiveless Bungals in Week 1 on the ROAD.
Pittsburgh 1st Half scores at home 12-0, 14-6 & 7-0
Baltimore 1st Half scores on the ROAD 10-12, 6-24, 6-0 & 0-9
I'm thinking about an UNDER 13-1/2 for Baltimore on the game.
