    Hey Guys,

    **Louisville at Uconn +3**

I will not be around tomorrow night and I would like to share my thoughts on this game.

First of all, the wrong team is fav imo. The oddsmakers are leveraging the Louisville road dog win last week vs. the Bearcats to entice Louv bettors. And, of course, they are eating it up to the tune of 73% of all wagers. Louv has been and continues to be a public darling!!

Last year Uconn had numerous key injuries and the scored reflected it. This is not the same Louv team imo.

    Here are some key trends...

Louv is 1-4 ats as Road Fav > 3pts off a SU dog win

Louv is 0-6 ats away after forcing 3+ turnovers

Uconn is 10-1 ats @ home off a road loss

Uconn is 6-1 @ home vs. Big East Opp

Uconn is 10-4 ats L14 home games

Uconn is 5-1 as home dogs L2 years

uconn is 16-5 ats L21 games after scoring < 20 pts

    Lets look at the numbers....

    LV sch # 103

LV off (pass) #3 (398 ypg)

LV off (rush) #52 (165 ypg)

LV def (pass) #95 (289 ypg)

LV def (rush) #71 (162 ypg)

    Uconn scg # 115

Uconn off (pass) #77 (212 ypg)

Uconn off (rush) #53 (164 ypg)

Uconn def (pass) #9 (165 ypg) KEY**

Uconn def (rush) #21 (99 ypg)

I'm not sold on this Louv team as their defense is dreadful and will be exposed once again on national television. Uconn will be able to move the ball on a consistent basis and control the time of posession as well.

In summary, this is a HUGE home game for Uconn and with revenge in mind, Uconn pulls the upset and WINS this game!!

    Play UCONN +3

    Good Luck,

Here's a write up I found about tonights game UCONN

Louisville beat Cincinnati last week by not turning the ball over against a Bearcats’ defense that was averaging over 4 forced turnovers per game coming into that contest. The Cardinals’ much maligned defense also played a decent game in allowing just 5.8 yards per play to a Cincy squad that would average 5.7 yppl on the road against an average defense. However, every time Louisville’s defense appears to be getting better they play another horrible game. Louisville held Kentucky to a respectable 5.8 yppl after allowing over 10 yppl to Middle Tennessee, but then gave up 8.2 yppl to a pathetic Syracuse team the very next week after playing pretty well against the Wildcats. The Cardinals then played decent in allowing 5.3 yppl to NC State but followed that up by allowed 7.2 yppl and 44 points to a mediocre Utah offense before last week’s decent effort. Every time I think Louisville’s defense can’t be as bad as it has been they have a horrible game to prove me wrong. For the season the Cardinals have allowed 6.6 yppl to a schedule of teams that would average only 5.0 yppl against an average defensive team. Connecticut is 0.3 yppl worse than average on offense, but that’s about the same as the average team that Louisville has faced so I expect the Huskies to move the ball well. Louisville will obviously move the ball well with an attack that has been 1.5 yppl better than average (7.1 yppl against teams that would allow 5.6 yppl), but the Huskies’ solid defense has been 0.6 yppl better than average this season (4.1 yppl allowed to teams that would average 4.7 yppl against an average defense) so the Cardinals are likely to be slowed down a bit. My math model favors Connecticut by 2 points and there is no evidence to suggest that the inconsistent Louisville defense will play at a decent level in consecutive weeks.

Well looking at today's game between UConn and Louisville you have to different seasons. One had high expectations and isnt living up to them, the other wasnt expected to do much but is having a solid season. One is a high powered offense with suspect defense, the other high defense with suspect offense. Now look into who each has played. Lville lost very tough game with last second heroics to good Kentucky team, lost a winnable game to syracuse (bad loss but affected by previous weeks defeat to KY) and a loss to Utah (again not a good loss). But looking at the two bad losses they were at home, which is usaully a good thing, but for this Lville team they seem to bring it most on the road and dick around at home. On the road they lost close game to KY, beat a good Cincy team, and beat NC state.

For Uconn they have beat the power houses of DUKE, MAINE, TEMPLE, PITT, and AKRON. And the first decent team they played they lost to at Virginia (although it was close). The things that stand out to me is that UConn's statistical dream defense is doing it against sub standard opponents. The one good opponent on that list, Virginia, has a horrible offense.

IMO look for this game to be high scoring and Lville eventually pulling away in the third as UConn's offense cant keep up with Brohm, Douglas, and the return of Urrutia.

Hoping UCONN can win the game tonight. They are my hometown team in College. Getting 3 points at home with some real nasty weather in the forcast tonight with heavy winds, rain even predicting hail. Should be a good ground game with great UCONN defense. I like them tonight.

    Let's go HUSKY'S!!!!!

Also like the over in the Northwestern game.

    here's my repost again

OK FELLAS I'M LOOKING AT THIS WEEKEND'S CARD ALLREADY AS I ALWAYS DO ON MONDAY'S AND MAN I THING I'VE FOUND US A GEM.

I'M TAKING UCONN +3 1/2 OVER LOUISVILLE. (I THINK THE LINE WILL GO UP AND I'LL TAKE THEM AGAIN WHEN IT DOES. JMO)

UCONN IS FOR REAL FELLAS AT 5-1. THEY LOST ON SATURDAY TO VIRG. IN VIRG. BY ONE POINT. THEY ALSO PLAYED THAT GAME WITHOUT THEIR BEST RB DONALD BROWN. THE GUY IS A BEAST AVERAGING JUST SHY OF 4.5 YARDS PER CARRY. HE'S QUEST. THIS WEEK AGAIN SO TIME WILL TELL IF HE'S GONNA PLAY OR NOT. IF HE DOESN'T, UCONNN HAD A GAME WITHOUT HIM. I MUST ADMIT, UCONN'S SCHEDULE HAS BEEN GARBAGE BUT THIS IS A STATEMENT GAME FOR THEM. THEY HAVE A TOUGH SCHEDULE AHEAD AGAINST USF, RUTGERS AT HOME AND CIC AND W. VIRG. ON THE ROAD. ONE MORE WIN AND TEAM IS BOWL ELIGIBLE.

LOUISVILLE IS FUCKING OVERRATED AND THIS LINE IS FUCKING INFLATED BECAUSE OF THEIR WIN OVER CIC. THEY FLAT OUT SUCK. JULIUS WILLIAMS IS GONNA PRESSURE BROHM ALONG WITH THAT STINGY UCONN DEFENSE.

NOT TO MENTION HOMECOMING GAME WHICH HISTORICALLY IS GOOD FOR THE HOME TEAM AND FRIDAY NIGHT SPOTLIGHT GAME=(IMO) A WIN FOR UCONN.

I'M TAKING THE 3 1/2 AND WHEN IT GOES UP TO 4 CAUSE I KNOW THE PUBLIC WILL BE ON THAT SHITTY TEAM, I'LL TAKE THEM AGAIN.

    GL IF YOU FOLLOW.

    Uconn Huskies +3 over Louisville

Don't fool yourself - this is the Louisville offense, and whether or not they can score against this underrated Connecticut defense.

The linebacker duo of Danny Lansanah and Lawrence Wilson are the key cogs in the Connecticut defense, a defense that has yet to allow more than 17 points in a game.

It is also number three in the country in turnover margin. Remember, on the flip side, this is a Louisville defense that still stinks.

The Huskies are 4-1 ATS their last five against a team with a winning record, and are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as a home underdog.

They are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games, and will win by double digits tonight.

    Pucks:

0-2 yesterday, dropping my record to 9-5-1

I have three I like today.

Buff -1.5 +135. This one has blowout written all over it. Buffalo can still score and Columbus can't keep up with them. Buff is well rested.

Colo -120. Paying juice on a visitor is always tricky, but this team is clicking right now. Stasney is a superstar in the making. Chicago has proven they don't protect home ice, being an sub .500 team last year.

Carolina +125. How do you not like Carolina right now. The went into Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal and won. Now, they are visiting the Pens, who are having serious goaltending problems, allowing 4,4,3,4,5 in their last five. Carolina is a team that's working like smooth machine. Take the good line here.

I'm taking Louisville -3 and Eastern Michigan +10.

Strength of schedule fellas! That's all I gotta say about UCONN! It could come back to bite me in the ass, but that's my reasoning!

Eastern Michigan should keep it close. The wind is blowing hardcore up in Ypsilanti. I think that will be the cause for Northwestern not to put a lot of points on the board. Put a small amount on the under as well!

    Good Luck!

Small play on UConn for reasons posted in NCAAF Forum. Keeping it small as I can't get past this stat I read today in the Hartford Courant. GL.

It's the test for the Huskies defense that could go a long way in proving that their No.6 ranking in the country - compiled against some of the nation's worst offenses - is more than just a pretty number on a stat sheet.

The highest-ranked offense UConn has faced before today is Temple's, which is 98th in I-A.
