OK FELLAS I'M LOOKING AT THIS WEEKEND'S CARD ALLREADY AS I ALWAYS DO ON MONDAY'S AND MAN I THING I'VE FOUND US A GEM.

I'M TAKING UCONN +3 1/2 OVER LOUISVILLE. (I THINK THE LINE WILL GO UP AND I'LL TAKE THEM AGAIN WHEN IT DOES. JMO)

UCONN IS FOR REAL FELLAS AT 5-1. THEY LOST ON SATURDAY TO VIRG. IN VIRG. BY ONE POINT. THEY ALSO PLAYED THAT GAME WITHOUT THEIR BEST RB DONALD BROWN. THE GUY IS A BEAST AVERAGING JUST SHY OF 4.5 YARDS PER CARRY. HE'S QUEST. THIS WEEK AGAIN SO TIME WILL TELL IF HE'S GONNA PLAY OR NOT. IF HE DOESN'T, UCONNN HAD A GAME WITHOUT HIM. I MUST ADMIT, UCONN'S SCHEDULE HAS BEEN GARBAGE BUT THIS IS A STATEMENT GAME FOR THEM. THEY HAVE A TOUGH SCHEDULE AHEAD AGAINST USF, RUTGERS AT HOME AND CIC AND W. VIRG. ON THE ROAD. ONE MORE WIN AND TEAM IS BOWL ELIGIBLE.

LOUISVILLE IS FUCKING OVERRATED AND THIS LINE IS FUCKING INFLATED BECAUSE OF THEIR WIN OVER CIC. THEY FLAT OUT SUCK. JULIUS WILLIAMS IS GONNA PRESSURE BROHM ALONG WITH THAT STINGY UCONN DEFENSE.

NOT TO MENTION HOMECOMING GAME WHICH HISTORICALLY IS GOOD FOR THE HOME TEAM AND FRIDAY NIGHT SPOTLIGHT GAME=(IMO) A WIN FOR UCONN.

I'M TAKING THE 3 1/2 AND WHEN IT GOES UP TO 4 CAUSE I KNOW THE PUBLIC WILL BE ON THAT SHITTY TEAM, I'LL TAKE THEM AGAIN.

    GL IF YOU FOLLOW.

    UCONN +3 1/2

    RECORD 91-50-6.

opinions always welcome. that's why i posted the same post here.

JT, I was at that UConn/UVA game Saturday (side note: my buddy in his uconn shirt got partially vomited on…don’t think it was a coincidence). Anyway, UVA was also w/o their top RB Peerman (2nd in ACC in ypg) and their top CB.

UConn’s QB (Lorenzen) looked good running and throwing the ball against a pretty good defense. Their problem was the red zone as they settled for too many FG’s. UConn also lost a fumble at the UVA 4 yard line before half. Once down 17-16, UConn was moving the ball easily into UVA territory with a 2-3 minutes left (Uconn finished the game with more first downs than UVA). Then it all fell part as the shotgun snap went by the QB and rolled freakin 21 yards, setting up 2nd and 31. Then a false start made it 2nd and 36, etc. They just got sloppy late. 1 for 13 on 3rd downs didn’t help either.

I was looking at UConn in this game as well, as UConn plays well on both sides of the ball and Louisville just one. Gotta check out how Louisville won at Cincy though, that surprised me. Yes Uconn hasn’t played a great schedule, but like you said, huge game for their program, at The Rent, homecoming, national TV, Louisville off a nice win now playing a team they hammered 48-17 LY (ranked 6th) (Uconn lost at home in ’05 30-20 when Lville was #16).

    UConn as a home dog: ’06 2-1, ’05 3-0, this year 0-0 but 1-0 as a dog.

    Lville as road fav: ’06 3-2, ’05 1-4, this year 1-1 and 1-4 as a fav.

Gotta check it out more, would be nice if Brown played, but right now leaning towards Huskies.

And about the BCS standings, I’ve only seen S Fla a few times, but I was real impressed with the game vs WV. Should be a great game Thur night at Rutgers. I don’t get BC being #3. Last 4 games have been vs ND, Bowling Green, UMass, and Army. They beat NCSU at home who sucks. I guess a decent win at GT, and they beat WF at home, but I don’t think WF QB played, or got hurt that game maybe. If they win their next game, then I can accept it.

    GL.
