I'm glad the Rockies game went my way, but can you believe the umping. For a sudden death playoff game, the umps sucked.
Inconsistent strike zone, home run call, Holliday missing the plate.
On another note: Ok, I know the Yankees are good and are entering the playoffs on a good run. But.. so are the Tribe and they're sending probable Cy Young winner Sabathia to the mound. At home, I dont' see the tribe as underdogs, but we're getting them at +110.

What an AMAZING 13th Inning !!!!! That right there is what Sports is All About !!!! And wow We gotta give Colly Props for not giving up ... WOW !!!!!!!! The top of the 13th inning must of been a blow to the stomach of Colly.. but the way they came out the bottom against an Elite Close .. WOW !!!! Awesome man .. I will root for that team in the Nat'l just because the Hunger I saw .. and the way they fought to get into the playoffs! AMAZING once again !!!!!!
BTW: Barrett Blocked the plate and did a very good job of doing so .. and Holliday actually did not touch the plate ... but called safe.. I was happy because Colly Deserved it .. but wow If anyone bet SD .. you must of been mad at that call haha .. shit !!!!

Take a look at Memphis Special Teams bro. Their kicker to be exact. He is 1 for 5 ytd. Strong lean to +3 here as well. While your at it look at Memphis punter, last in the nation in net.

Early Leans and tidbits...
Marshall +3 and O 60...
~ Memphis playing 3 games in 11 days
~ they basically gave up in their last game. After being up 31-6 at H they get outscored 29-0 in 2 H to lose 35-31. that is deflating.
~ the emotional factor (somewhere, I think some guy from Boston is calling this a GOY # ???...lol) anyways, well, this can work 2 ways. Miami had the same situation last yr and lost SU to Maryland. Also, 3 games in 11 days, a shooting where the school was shut down for a full day; how much time did they really have to prepare for marshal? Could it have been more of a distraction for a team already crumbling?
~ teams passing is over 250 for each team = lots of throws??? = lots of yards??? = lots of stopped clockage (lol)??? = OVER???
even though Marshal gives up 263 yrds on the ground, I feel the yards wont be the grind it out type. More like in chunks: 10 yrds plus many times during the game. This would also lead to an O lean since a few plays, whether they are passing or running, should get you in FG range. But, as mentioned above; Memphis PK sucks.
~ Memphis has 8 receiving TD's...to 8 different players. Cant really key in on one guy.
~ memphis has given up 35 and 56 their last 2 games
`Marshal has given up 40, 48, 48, and 31 all yr. one of the 48 was to NEW HAMSHIRE 2 games ago. thats right, I said New Hamshire...
~ Pub is on Memphis 78%, moving the line from -2.5 to -3. Pub is on the U 59.5 at a 55% showing; all according to Sportsbook.
So, both teams suck and I cant really be too comfy with a side just yet until I check system plays, etc. Right now, I feel better with the O and just watch for a bunch of busted plays for long TD's

Marshall +2.5 over Memphis
A Memphis player was killed yesterday, and now have to take the football field tonight. As sad as it sounds, you know they won't have their mind on the game, but on their fallen teammate.
The Thundering Herd are looking for their first win, and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games on turf. They are also 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a SU loss of more than 20 points.
As for Memphis, they are 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a favorite of one to three points, and are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in October.
Look for Marshall to beat an emotionally drained Memphis team tonight.

Guys, please post accurate info, there are people betting money based on what you post and the facts need to be straight. I'm not bitching, but please, have your info straight for those that pickride.
Nooch brought up some good numbers on what Marshall and Memphis have both given up this season. I took a look at Marshall's numbers for each game defensively and when their leading tacklers are in the secondary, you know teams are running all over them. This thundering Herd defense is god awful. Memphis isn't much better. This is going to be a goofy game tonight.
Pub is slammin the over and pretty much split on the total.
Tough game to cap but I feel I got a handle on the winner.

Against New Hampshire? Damn, UNH must have gotten to D-1 and no one told me. Just giving ya shit, but as Chappelle would say..."Let's keep it real." Marshall's SOS is 106 and their Sagarin rating is in the bottom of football.

Red Rascal and BP..your SOS ranking of 5th is accurate up to date but the overall SOS is way down. So I can eat crow but the SOS ranking for the year for Marshall is in the bottom 50. From what they have played so far, I see the schedule is near the top in SOS but UNH drops them down significantly in the 50's. If you only count DI..then I give you a top 10 SOS so far..but losing to UNH is a joke...
Now that we got that out of the way....
Good luck on this schemp game. I can't believe I'm actually going to watch this garbage but it beats the hell out of Tivo'd Desperate Housewives.
Question:
How many people are betting this game to have action tonight like I am? I really don't like my play but I'm on Memphis for 2 units.
GL tonight..don't ride me on this game, I'm throwin from the gut based on what I saw.

they may of played a D2 team, but also played Miami / West Virgina / and Cincinatti .... Where I get my info does show #5 SOS ... and obviously whereever Red Rascal looks too haha .. .anyways .. . it is what it is .. Good Luck all on what side you play !!
I believe you are lookin at Powre Rankings and not Strength of Schedule ... Power Rankings I can agree with you .. but SOS ... different story ...

...I'm looking for a reason or angle to play this game and there really is not one. JT was dead on with the "pass". BP..you and the Rascal are right, the SOS I look at factors in results of Games played and running record whereas a flat SOS schedule has Marshall up there. However, it does not factor in D-2 teams which would bring that way down.
Anyways..I'm playing this game but I think it's garbage. A true coin flip and probably my donation back to the man to start the week after hammering him last week.
good luck everyone. I am going to start the thread for tomorrow and post my series plays and game tomorrow.
have a great night and I hope you all hit this garbage game. I personally think I'm going to lose this one as I'm on Memphis and small on the over.
