Atlanta Braves are only two games out of the wild card, thanks to a win over these Phillies last night. Hudson takes the hill, and is 8-3 with a 3.09 ERA on the road this year. In fact, in his last road start he pitched a complete game shutout in Washington. He takes a step up in strength of opponent today as he'll face the Phils in a must win for both teams. Kyle Lohse goes for the Phils, and has an ERA of 8.31 over his last three starts. He lasted just two innings last time out, and will get rocked again tonight.

Houston Astros Wandy Rodriguez has been a jekyll and hyde pitcher this year, trading good start for bad start almost the entire way. His last start was a beauty, eight innings of one run ball in St. Louis, a game the Astros won 18-1. Before that, he gave up 10 runs over a two start span. Houston is 6-1 in Cincinatti this year, and stormed back from 5-1 down last night to win. Tom Shearn, a career minor leaguer, will start for the Reds tonight. Although he has been mildly impressive, he won't get the best of the Astro hitters. Take Houston tonight.

Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 runs The Brewers, thanks to a bit of help from the Marlins last night, are now just two back of the Cubs for the NL Central lead, and send Carlos Villanueva to the hill tonight. The Milwaukee righty has two career starts against the Cards, and has combined for 15 plus innings, two runs, eight hits, two walks and nine strikeouts. Don't need to tell you that he has won both of those games. Brad Thompson goes for the Cards, and only lasted three in his start against the Brewers this year. He gave up six runs in that contest. Expect him to give up atleast that much tonight as the Brewers roll.
