When we look back at the Hampton Roads area, we look back upon starts like Lawrence Taylor, Ron Springs, Al Toon, Ricky Rudd, Sweet Pea Pernell Whitaker, Alonzo Mourning etc, hell the list is to long !!!! And yes I forgot the Allen Iverson's, Michael Convicts of the world.

I was lucky enough to be associated with the Tidewater area and beleive me, I know the level of competiton there. When you have a school that boast over 3,000 kids back in the late 80's, that's tells you a lot. I cannot remember the exact number of kids that tried out for our football team, but I can tell you it exceded over 200. The competition is just out right nasty. It's all on the line.

Look at Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin. Anyone want a bio on this dude ?? I played against this cat in High School. He was a Denbigh graduate, while I was a Warwick graduate. We faced each other 2 years in High School and then played together at William and Mary. Although he was a pup and on the practice squad ( can you say Rudy ), he still carried a level of intensity like no fucking other.. The dude was ROCK solid and Denbigh was loaded. Kwame Lassiter, former Safety with Pat Tillman in Arizona, this dude was everything, he would pick me apart like a bicycle spoke, but they could never win. Marcus Mikel, the Virginia all time leader and maybe one of the first 4.3 - 40 yard guys, this dude was SICK. He was the 1ST PLAYER EVER RECRUITED by FRANK BEAMER !!! Deion Sanders wasn't shit to this guy, but he chose trouble over stardom..

Believe me, Mike Tomlin will succeed in Pittsburgh, watch what I tell you..

Now you have Mr. Taylor in Blacksburg.. I don't know much about this cat, but I do know he comes from Hampton, Virginia and a TRUE product of Mike Smith, who has put 48 players in the NFL and 3 NFL Hall of famers !!!!

If I told you his stats, you would say I was lying, so I won't tell you that he threw for 300 yards, ran for 200 and returned punts and kickoffs for TD's in a numerous of games. But insert Mr. Taylor and the Daily Press has a new leader. By votes and polls, Mr. Taylor of Va.Tech surpassed Allen Iverson by almost 10% points. Now that is sick, considering that you've had the likes of Ronald Curry, Trent Whitley, Marques Hagans, Michael Vick, Marcus Vick, Aaron Brooks, Eric Hunter.

Oh lets's not forget Mr. Percy Harvin, the BEST player in College football. That High School team of his, Landstown was lights out.. He does have a co-worker from the school that will shine in the name of Damien Michaels..

About Percy Harvin. The dude was like a southern kind of guy and wanted to go to SMU like no other. So they called SMU and asked them to send a scout to the Tidewater area to check this cat out, but instead, SMU asked him to send tape in, LMFAOOOOOOOO... Nice job SMU, dumbasses !!!!!

So I told my West Coast boys a couple of years ago that if Percy harvin went to USC, which he was almost 90% declared, it would be over, but my nigga chose Florida over USC and here we have it. This will his last year, but yet another great product of Hampton Roads....
